Every time I have been here, the food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. I’ve never ordered the same thing twice, but it’s always better than I expected. Ask about the specials.

I have been going there for a few months but tonight the dick bartender showing off to the women bartenders won’t change the tv nobody was watching. I was sitting there for an hour or more and claimed somebody was watching the Dartmouth football game. He won’t change it to the basketball game. Either he was not happy with the color of my skin or just a dick. I won’t be going back there anymore.

One our favorite places to kick back. Friendly staff and friendlier patrons. Truly a real life«Cheers» where everybody knows your name. Highly recommend when you want a nice casual atmosphere. Good food and reasonably priced cocktails.

Hats off to the wait staff last night for St Patrick’s Day… I don’t know how 2 people could handle such a big crowd but they did and with a good attitude!

Smokers everywhere. I was only in there a few minutes to pick up a to go order and I could still smell it in my car. Gross. I ordered the Shepard’s pie. All I could taste was salt and garlic. Nothing else. And the dish itself… just meat potatoes and cheese. That’s it. No carrots. No corn. No peas. Il could have made a better Shepard’s pie at home… I just didn’t have any of the stuff. Hence why I went out. This place is only getting an extra star cause of their service. The waitstaff was friendly and really great. They called me when my food was ready to let me know. Great people! Their food… not so much. I guess people go here more for the drinks than the food.

I’m not sure why Danny’s is only rating 3 stars — I wish I could give them a 4.5 rating, they were ALLLLLMOST perfect and with a few tweaks they’ll get a 5 from me. My 19-yr-old and I came in around noon on a Saturday, it was slow but we liked the leisurely pace. We saw some really great/cheap daily specials on a chalkboard right inside the door, but as it was a weekend and not happy hour we couldn’t take advantage of them. Got a chance to meet the owner Keith, who was very nice and rightfully proud of his place; he explained why I couldn’t buy my son a pint and I respected his position — it never fails that a few bad apples spoil things for everyone else. The fish and chips, Scottish eggs and mashed potatoes were FANTASTIC, and the beer was cold and reasonably priced. The only missteps as far as I was concerned were the Irish Nachos(the waffle fries could have been crispier) and the corn that accompanied my Chicken Fried Steak(it was oddly sour, like it had been sitting in a steam tray too long). I’ll grant you there was a pretty distinct smell of 2nd-hand smoke in the air, but it’s a BAR — if you can’t handle smoke in a BAR, take your business to Dallas. That said, I’ll be back again — this time with the hubs for happy hour, on one of the few occasions we get to go out and let our hair down.

First of all, the food is great for an «Irish dive bar». Try their fish and chips! Also their mashed potatoes are on the cheap and awesome. Emerald is an amazing bartender and Randall is getting it on the staff floor. Awesome drink specials on the reg.

Have been here on many occasions. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The drinks are great and cheaper than other bars in the area. Live music on weekends. The food is ok. Over all worthy of 4 stars at most but I gave 5 to offset the clowns giving 1 without ever trying the place.

Great food ! Great service ! Patio is nice when weather allows. No tvs or music on patio makes for a boring atmosphere. Ok so let’s talk about the SMOKE !!! OMG really people it is 2014. Smoking kills. I don’t want your smelly nasty fumes in my lungs or my hair. Can’t wait for ft worth to catch up with dallas

A group of us come here about once a week after work. You can’t beat the prices or the service(we love Sylvia!). We’ve tried a lot of the food menu and it’s the good kinda of greasy bar food. My favorite are their home made potato chips dipped in their spicy ranch. Our group also regularly orders fried bologna sandwiches, wings, tenders, macaroni, and potato skins. This is also one bar where I’ll actually drink liquor because I don’t feel like I get short poured(happy hour starts at noon and lasts til 8!) The ONLY downside is we only come when the weather allows, as we sit on the patio to avoid the amount of smoke inside. All in all this place is awesome and definitely worth a visit.

Been here quite a few times now. Was introduced by my friend since she’s a regular there, and also by my wrestling friends that do their afterparties there. Best Waitstaff/Bartenders! They work fast, friendly and keep my drinks/food going. Food is awesome! Potato Skins(Huge plate with enough to share, cooked just right, with a side of sour cream) Huge Potato Nacho Plate(don’t remember the name of it)(We had 4 people sharing it, lots of food and the waffle fries with all the toppings on top) Friend had Scottish Eggs, Looked good, I didn’t try yet cause figured he needed it all after wrestling that night). Fried onions, and other fried things were good but, the stuff above are my faves! Cheap Drinks on Mondays(seriously great prices for Well Drinks, even whisky/coke) Karaōke on Tuesdays I’m not a smoker and on busy nights it does get smoky but, I can always go hang outside then. Seriously fun place, with a lot of seating!

My husband and I love to go to Danny’s and have a few drinks, and sometimes dinner. It’s a great place to kick back and have some fun. The drinks are cheap, and happy hour until 8:00pm. The waitstaff is attentive and super friendly and the bartenders are great. The owners are there every night and seem like good people. The macaroni and cheese with the fajita meat on top is like a dream in your mouth! The age of the patrons varies, so don’t worry. You’ll fit in no matter what your age. Everybody always seems happy. Some nights they have live music too. Thursday is trivia night, I believe, which can be a little loud, but is also fun.

This is a good bar. They sell cigarettes which I know some people will appreciate. Although not me. The beer selection isn’t anything great but it’s close to home and there’s always a good vibe in here. Everyone seems really happy. I have even witnessed everyone in the bar singing the same song. I thought that only happened in movies. It seemed to be a young crowd too. I had the wings and I didnt find them offensive at all. I had a young male waiter once that I want to give a shout out to. You have glasses and I started threatening you by the end of the night. You took it like a champ and made the experience even better. :) You go, boy!

This bar is horrible. From the underage patrons on busy nights to the microwaved«Irish» food, this place is a joke. The staff is really self entitled. I had one waiter actually refuse to take my order because I flagged him down! Uh, hello? Is this your first waiting job? This place just doesn’t have much to offer patrons. There’s probably 30 wobbly tables and two dart boards. The times I tried to play darts, the darts were broken, and when I tried getting in on someone’s team, they had brought their own darts. This place is just a poor example of a bar.

I want to update this review after a few more visits. They added lights to the dart boards and they are righteous boards now. Music nights are really fun. The house music is via jukebox, I believe that depends on whatever yahoos are there. Friday fish and chips deal is $ 5.99 for a large filet, fries and slaw. The food here is inconsistent. But the fish is usual consistently superior to other places. The slaw is not worth the effort to chew it. If you are a fan if Shepard’s Pie, roll the dice and see if the version of the day is good. It was seriously inedible last visit. I think they overloaded it with beef granuals so it was super salty and just funky. It’s then only thing I’ve had that was bad. Overall, I am sticking with 3 stars because of the food quality across the menu. They have some detail and consistency issues from one shift to the next. I will continue to visit and stick to their kitchen strengths, hope for music night to watch the grannies sing.

I came to Danny’s Celtic Pub with a few friends on a Thursday night, and it was pretty poppin’ inside! It’s a simple bar in a simple, slowly burgeoning spot in Bedford(Twisted Root just opened in the same shopping center). I’m excited to see successful businesses popping up at the intersection of Harwood Road and Central Drive. It’s never been the most up-to-date or exciting area, but new spots like Danny’s Celtic Pub definitely brighten it up and are drawing much needed attention. Danny’s is owned and managed by a husband and wife team who wanted to bring a little Irish authenticity and pride to the area. You’ll find a full menu with goodies like fish n’ chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers n’ mash, and scottish eggs, as well as hotdogs, burgers, salads, appetizers, and side dishes galore. Some creatives stand out, like the Irish nachos and mac-n-cheese with fajita meat. It’s seriously a huge food menu, and it’s all served until 10. Now, the drink menu isn’t particularly unique, but it’s solid and the pours are generous. There’s only one cider option — Angry Orchard — but that’s fine by me. Pretty standard bar activities going on in here; dart throwing, jukebox playing, dudes ordering Guinness after Guinness. There’s a small stage in the back corner where small bands can play, and there are TV’s a plenty for game watching. It’s not very dim inside, like most bars tend to be. Danny’s is a little too bright with yellow light for my liking, but maybe that’s for the best? All in all, I like it here just fine. I’ll go back to Danny’s for a cider and a baked potato. Or garlic mashed potatoes. Or potato skins. Or shepherd’s pie, because… potatoes. There’s all kinds of potatoes on this menu, and I intend to eat them all. It’s Danny’s CELTIC Pub, so I’m expecting super satisfying spuds!
