Amazing location. I have been coming here since I was born. My family makes it a priority to visit this place every trip back to Beckley. The pizza is incredible and the hot dogs are the best in WV. The fries are by far top in the area!

This place is a Beckley classic. Everything here is great. My favorites are the pulled pork BBQ, hot dogs, and the baked potato.

This is the best place to eat in the Beckley area. Wife ordered pizza which she loved and I had the King Cheeseburger and it was without a doubt the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Drive in tradition and great food at a reasonable price, what more could you ask for?

Delicious pot roast sandwich on a homemade bun. Enjoyed the carhop delivery from a friendly waitress. Reasonable price and great food.

King Tuts is a throwback to the drive-in fast food joint. Of course this was well before my time, so this was my first drive in experience. It looks like it has been there for a few decades, but it gives it an authentic feel. There are big menus on the walls that are easy to read. Mostly fast food, american fare. I had a steak hoagie, fries, and a chocolate shake for $ 10. Food was good. The shake was like any fast food joint. The fries were crinkle cut, which isn’t my favorite, but these were very crispy so it made up for that. The hoagie was ground beef, sautéed onions, and mozzarella cheese. It was also ok, but a far cry from an authentic Philly cheese steak that I was hoping for. Overall, a step up from traditional fast food. However, not something I can see myself doing again.

This place is a true GEM! The service is super fast, the food is excellent, and the prices are amazing. When I was there I got the cheesesteak hoagie(per the recommendations of the server) and the sweet potato waffles fries. The hoagie was delicious, but the sweet potato waffle fries were on another level. They sprinkle a some cinnamon sugar on them when they come out of the fryer and the results are something spectacular.

Ate there again today and it was very good and fast! I love their bbq on homemade bun and my son loves the grill cheese… Meatloaf is good too… it brings back memories of my family who have passed who ate their years ago :)

This was a fun lunch! It is a unique ‘drive-in and dine in your car’ experience. I had the Pot Roast on a homemade bun, crispy onion rings, and a slice of coconut crème pie — oh my! All delicious :).

It’s a drive in, so expect drive in food. Service was friendly, efficient and very attentive and they do a brisk business! Fried onion petals and mushrooms with King Tut mystery sauce were good. The Nightmare sandwich pleased our 17 year old while the Submarine sandwich did not please him. 2 of us ordered Reubens and did not live up to prior reviews. The meat was thick cut, not NY style. The other six diners thought food was just ok. Maybe we aren’t all diner food eaters!

I’ve gone every time we’ve passed through on a road trip. The food is yummy, the staff is pleasant, and the experience is always awesome! The only difficulty is getting in/out, but that’s not really their fault.

Really cool 50’s style drive in! On our visit we had the ribs and some sandwiches. Everything we had was delicious and the price was cheap as well. I would definitely stop again if in this area of West Virginia. Oh and try the cherry milkshake… Amazing.

Excels in the nostalgia department. If you remember old time drive ins and enjoyed them, you will find this spot a trip down memory lane. It’s good food but never go if you are in a hurry and make sure you have cash as they do not accept credit cards.

This place has been in business since 1955. I remember it as a kid. It was always a treat to go there and still is. Homemade food daily consisting of sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, chicken, chicken livers, and seven or eight different pies. The food was and still is great! And I srill love that old neon sign, which deserves three stars by itself!

Great little drive-in in the Beckley area. I was told to stop here, and I wasn’t disappointed. Their King-Tut Burger was great and their service was terrific. Only complaint is getting in and out of the drive-in.

Driving from DC to St. Louis, looking for a non-mainstream dinner. Skeptical at first because I didn’t think King Tut was from West Virginia, but this authentic drive-in was a real gem. Pot roast sandwich, Reuben, and chicken strips were all fresh and not greasy. Banana milk shake was yummy. And the mini loaf of homemade bread was fabulous. If we lived nearby, we’d be regulars.

A Must Stop if passing through Beckley. Have eaten there for years and never dissatisfied with any order. My favorite thing on the menu would have to be the pie. The coconut cream pie is the BEST. Unique little place!

This stop was fun. We drove in to our spot and read the menu board(no prices). A server came over and took our order. She also took my credit card to make things faster. She asked if we were eating there(a tray on the window) or to go(food in a bag). We took our food to go. Our small order came fast though she appeared to be quite busy. The food was very inexpensive(2.95 cheeseburger, 2.95 shake). The cheeseburger was very small and very simple, probably frozen patty. The fries were the frozen crinkle kind. The shake was the highlight — 20 ounces and appeared to be milk mixed with ice cream and chocolate syrup, thick but not too thick. By the time we drank the shake it was a bit melted so we are going to have to return and try more shakes for sure. I would consider trying some of the other more seemingly homemade items on the menu like the reuben or a grilled cheese, possibly meat loaf. I would not get burgers here again as there is a Five Guys down the street and I would not get fries from here again as there is a Chick Filet A down the street and both of these are much preferred by the children. There is the time factor of having to go in to a Five Guys. The shakes here would be the return draw especially if we are going south and stop at the other restaurants first then here for shakes. That fourth star is for the fun of the drive-in and the shakes along with their price.

Old fashioned drive in under a canopy. No squawk boxes or roller skates but they do bring the tray to hang on your window. They’ve been here since the forties and it looks like it. We’ve driven by many times and not stopped thinking it was a dive. But this is a backwater gem! Great friendly service and food. We had a Reuben and a meat loaf sandwich. Both were excellent. The Reuben was grilled just right so the bread was a little crisp; neither soggy nor burnt. There was just enough sauce and a fair portion of meat. The meat loaf was delicious and thick on a unique buttery home made bun. A side of Onion Petals are about the size of a small serving of fries elsewhere instead of a blooming ball but excellent. Finished off with a big piece of home made chocolate cream pie. Quite reasonably priced.

Fellow Unilocalers this is where it all started for me… the FIRST restaurant i ever fell in love with… and remains my all-time FAVORITE restaurant as I always stop in here whenever I come home for the holidays. This is my first memory of good food. I have been coming here since I was about 3. Me and my 3 older siblings would pile into the family station wagon and go to King Tut after a soccer game, after a swim meet, after a bad day at school… there was always my mom with a hug and a trip to King Tut. 30 years ago it was Ruby who used to wait on us, ferociously chewing her bubble gum and blinking demurely with her eyes drenched in blue eye shadow. literally, this place is straight out of «American Graffiti» and a real slice of Americana. In all the years I’ve been coming here, the quality of the food has not changed a bit. The things that will make you happy are: the pizza burger a slushie the chicken liver boat the milkshakes the baked bean dinner w/hush puppies and cole slaw fried oysters and the best thing on the menu??? The HOAGIE w/extra banana peppers, provolone and grilled green peppers w/onions… it’s cheap, it’s good, it’s one of the oldest and last American drive-thru restaurants in existence. do yourself a favor create a memory here(Bön Jovi«Memory» begins playing faintly in the background…)
