I know the people who own little Richards, the closed down the store because they didn’t make enough money, and not enough workers to make the food. Now the«lunch box» is «goody’s» a 50s’ theme restaurant. But the lunch box had good food but it was a little pricey. But the employe’s were very nice and let me try a soda that I never had before for free. I will miss the lunch box but goody’s is really good also!

Place is near home. Rather new. Our first visit. Overall, weird and disappointing. We called in our order and were there just to pick it up. Standard fare. Cheesesteak, fries and cheese hoagie. Claustrophobic little diner. The vestibule is crowded with stuff. There was a woman clearly camped out doing paperwork at one of just a few tables. I was met at the counter by a child trying too hard. The cook was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Although I waited the full 20 minutes requested before going in, my food wasn’t ready. I was the only customer. As I waited, a group of people came bursting through the front doors. Family? Friends? The whole clan walked past me at the counter and right into the kitchen. The cook, distracted, stopped cooking. A group of people were just hanging out laughing and talking in the kitchen. WTF? A kid took a fry with his hand and ate it out of a bin. The cook was eating something. It sounded like a party. My food was finally delivered to the counter. I took it home. They screwed up both sandwiches in the order. The fries were cold and hard. Go figure. I’ve seen enough. No thanks.

The fries sucked — they were cold, not cooked long enough. The chicken cheese steak was not a good shredded white meat chicken steak — it was like they took some chicken breast and threw it in a food processor — it was chunky and had a weird taste. Tried to order other things from their«online facebook menu» — and were told they don’t have them.

I have only been here once so this review could change if I decide to go back. Unfortunately the food wasn’t really anything special. I got the Rachel sandwich and it was ok but I have had way better. The Russian dressing tasted like it came from a bottle and the turkey tasted like lunchmeat turkey. Like I said the food was ok but for me to come back it’s got to be better than just ok. Also when my husband and I were here and a group of about 8 people walked in and went right behind the counter and kitchen. We quickly realized these people were family of the owner/cook I guess. One of the people then proceeded to make his own food which to be honest I didn’t find to be very professional or clean. We also felt because there were so many people back there(little kids too) that we were being watched when trying to enjoy our lunch. I’m unsure about this place and we might try it again.

Was only there once so my review may change if I do decide to go back but I must say overall the food was very mediocre and I noticed some questionable things while there. First off, I ordered mac and cheese and a grilled ham and cheese. The mac and cheese was room temperature and very bland and the«grilled» ham n cheese was under cooked to the point of it being a warm ham and cheese sandwich. Also while eating, a family of 8 came in, walked back into the kitchen and their children proceeded to start cooking their own food. Now obviously this family knew or was, in fact, the owners family but I still found it to be very unprofessional. First impressions go a long way when it comes to restaurants and I was honestly very underwhelmed.

Our server was super nice and made small talk! Food was delicious, can’t wait to go again and try their homemade soups! My kids and I love the sign out front! Hope they last a long time!

Little Richard’s Lunchbox is located where K&J Doggie Shack and some crappy pizza place used to be. Little Richard’s is the same place that used to be in Zern’s, but now they’ve relocated to a free standing café, and it is great! The menu is what you’d expect from a lunch café… cheesesteaks, sandwiches, sausage etc… it’s fair food, inside. Good stuff overall. Wins: Cheesesteaks are fantastic Fries are very good Food is fresh and made when ordered Chicken is tasty Losers: chili — it’s just like out of a can price — a little pricey NOFRIEDPICKLES!(What???) Overall, we really like Little Richard’s and will be regulars there. We hope it sticks at this troubled location!
