I am sad to say that I won’t be back here again because I love supporting small, local business, but I simply did NOT have a good experience. I thought I would get my hair done for an upcoming trip and take advantage of the Unilocal offer $ 45 for $ 90. On arrival, there were some things that made me uncomfortable– like the salon itself was FREEZING, and she smelled like cigarettes which I didn’t think was very professional. Regardless, I had bought the coupon and was going with it, and being hopeful despite the fact that from word go I was a bit wary. Anyway-I wanted a cut and color, and because it’s winter, would go a bit darker and warmer. I brought in lots of pictures to detail with the stylist(Debbie) about both cut and color and she sounded like we were on the same page. Unfortunately, it was like a failed science experiment. While the cut is alright, the color is AWFUL. I have had better color done at the local Aveda School with first year students. Apparently this woman teaches how to do hair during the week which is super shocking because not only was my color like a bright red and almost white blonde(when I wanted a warm, chocolatey color with a bit of warmth), it is also blotchey. I freaked out that it was so blonde and insisted that she do a toner through it to calm both the bright blonde and the red down, and even after that, it still was crazy. I also have a leopard print spot on the top of my head where she messed up the«highlights.» I am so upset and don’t even care much about my hair-meh, it’s only hair!- but it looks THAT bad. Also, because of all this, the appointment took way longer because she tried to save the botched job with toner that I had to ask for, and it still came out awful. After rushing out of the salon, late for an appointment and really unhappy(and having to pay an extra $ 40 ontop of the«$ 90» for the joy of having a shockingly bad hairdo, I tried to calm down. Then, later in the day, I tried to call to arrange an appointment to have her just dye brown over top to rectify things. She did not respond to voicemails or a message I left with another staff at the salon. Super lame! I will never try and skimp and get groupons or coupons for hairdos again, and will definitely not be going back to this salon. I don’t think you should, either.
