Royal Hair Design is a private salon that is an extension of Carla’s home. It is a cute, clean and a personalized salon. If you love puppies, her two little ones will greet you when you arrive!
My friend who is in the beauty industry referred me to Carla for facials. Carla tailored a facial to suit my needs – microdermabrasion, exfoliation, and extraction! Not your typical «spa-​like» facial (which I’m sure she can do if you asked).
She is passionate about what she was very clear on explaining what she was doing throughout the process. After a few days, my skin was glowing! Overall, I was very satisfied with the results.
I will be back to see Carla monthly to maintain my healthy skin!:)

After spending thousands of dollars on hair extensions, I found Royal Hair Designs. I have been getting my hair extensions done by Carla for over 2 years now. She does an amazing job and always works around my busy schedule. She always puts her client’s first and makes ertain they’re happy and satisfied. Ill never go anywhere else, she is the best at doing hair and eyelash extensions. Awesome Job Carla!!!

I saw Carla back in January. A recommendation from a friend. I have finally calmed down enough to write a review longer than «I hate her and what she did to my hair.»
I went in to get hair extensions. My own hair was about shoulder length and I was getting 14″ extensions put in. I was very excited. Carla had her assistant color my hair to match the hair extensions. Once that was done she started to put the tape in hair extensions in. Not once while she was working on my hair did she say that the color was WAY off. Once she put everything in and gave me a mirror… I pointed out to her that you can tell even if you were blind that I have extensions in. It didn’t look natural at all. And I’ve used plenty of clip in hair extensions before myself that it always looked like it was all my hair and I’m not even a licensed beauty professional.
In this case, there was a blunt line where my real hair ended and the extensions kept going. And the color of my hair and the extensions didn’t match, not even close. Carla kept on saying how the color of my hair will fade in a few washes. (it DIDN’T).
She then proceeded to CUT my real hair without ASKING me! She cut the top layers so short that once I had the extensions taken out all that I could do was get a pixie cut to have my hair look ok.
Once I got home and cried for a few days and wore lot’s of hats for a week I was able to get in to see my regular stylist (she lives 4 hours away, it was that bad that I drove to see her on the weekend) she colored both my hair and the extensions a dark brown color and they finally matched.
But the color wasn’t the only issue. The extensions made my scalp itch and they were a crappy quality that after a couple more weeks they were getting tangled and ratty. If you couldn’t tell that I had extensions in before, you definitely could at this point.
I used Unilocal to find a stylist near my home in Portland and was able to get in less than 48 hours later to get the extensions removed. That’s when I found out I had to chop off all of my hair and start over because the damage Carla had done was irreversible.
I would never go back to Carla and I would never recommend her «salon» to anyone, not even my worse enemy.
The worst part is that my wedding is coming up in October and I am going to have to figure out a cute style with short hair.

I went in today to get my eyelashes extension done and I was very impressed. I love how it looked and the stylist was amazing she really knows her job. I would recommend this to anyone. All my friends love it. The place is warm friendly and cozy.

Dido! Carla is amazing! From the get go I felt as if I was getting my hair done from my favorite aunt. I have alopecia areata and I found Carla online and she ended up being my guardian angel. If you have special hair needs or just want amazing extensions or vaa vaa voom lashes she’s the one you want to go to. She’s passionate about both her work and her clients and is willing to work with your schedule during the day or even evenings. AMAZING!!! She s the only person I have let do my hair since I met her.

Carla is amazing! She has a fun salon with records on the wall, the hair extensions she put in were beautiful! And SO affordable! She really knows her stuff! Would absolutely recommend her!
