U know it was once a go to place! They sold it and down the tubes it went! So many good phở places out there no way they would have made it acting as if we were lucky to be there! Crazy stuff it was my first phở place but we are better off it was turned into a gross rude place! Too bad the previous owners didn’t stay they were great!

This place is disgusting. I found a hair in our soup. Rude management, poor service. They were actually mad at me for finding it. WTF. This place should be shut down, if they continue to serve crap like this. I feel so bad for everyone else who ate from that hairy pot as the restaurant didn’t care for too much that it was a part of their ingredient.

Yep it’s true. As the previous reviewer noted Phở Hung is closed. Sometime over the Christmas break they shut it down. Take a peak in the windows and all the tables are gone. That sucks. I have been coming here regularly for several years. I know they switched ownership a few years back but they still seemed to be doing alright business. I stopped by the Phở Hung on SE Powell in Portland and asked about the closing. The guy who was taking our order said he had heard about the Beaverton location closing but that he didn’t know anything else about it since they had sold it to a different owner a few years back. Now I go to Phở King or Phở Van. They’re okay, but still missing my regular spot Phở Hung. I wondered what happened? I used to see the owner guy pop into 24 hr fitness in the evenings after they closed.

Quiet place with a simple atmosphere and tasty, inexpensive food. The chicken I ordered was high quality and cooked very interestingly. The dish I ordered contained a wide variety of flavors and textures and was very well put together. One thing that bothered me though was that the employees didn’t bus customers’ tables immediately after they left, and it was a little unpleasant to eat my meal while surrounded by other people’s waste, and when they did end up busing they left the cart right by our table, not trying to be subtle and graceful about it at all. We will still come back here, however, because we are curious to try other dishes.

When we entered there were a ton of dirty tables in the area the waiter sat us in. We were there almost 45 minutes and all these tables stayed dirty, with piles of half eaten dishes on them. That alone was unappetizing. They never once checked on us after taking our order or delivering our food… after a while of waiting we went up to desk, which I assume is how your supposed to go about it, but my friend and I weren’t sure. Glass of water was literally ice with just water filling the cracks. The food was okay. Nothing magnificent. I was nervous to jump right in since it was my first time getting phó. I got it with meatballs and the meatballs were just… chewy and thoroughly processed tasting… they seemed like frozen meatballs you’d get at an Asian grocery store. The broth was delicious though, and I like that they bring you a plate of beansprouts and other additives. I’ll have to give phó a try again, but I doubt I’ll return here. I want to be adventurous and try other meats!

Bad service. Feels like they don’t want customers. Women’s room was so dirty it made me wonder about the kitchen! Food was ok. I won’t go back!

Decent place, tried the lean brisket with a side of meatballs. Broth was OK. Nothing that I would drive long distances for but if your in the area try them out… if anything else just so you know the differences in the local offerings. Wish I could say the dish really caught my attention but the beef had the same flavor as the broth and the noodles were the same rice stick that I make at home… bummer. Guess I will have to keep hunting.

Pretty good food. Not the cleanest restaurant in town. Bathrooms are far from nice/clean.

COMEONGUYS ! The broth is barely keeping this place alive. I’m gonna tell you it’s not the service that’s keeping you open because it’s «POOR». I am giving you an extra star because of your tasty broth, but overall service was and still is poor. Be careful because you can end up closing like the restaurant China Bay. I hope this place gets their act together I may never come back. The community knows about your service and unsanitary practices.

This is my 2nd fave Phở place in Beaverton, a definite tie with Phở King Good Soup on Hall but I have to say Phở Hung has WAY better salad rolls :-)

This has been our Phở spot since we moved here. Ample portions, affordable, super authentic and delicious! Staff is really nice. I have no idea why it wasn’t on Unilocal. So I just added them.

I used to eat at Phở Hung once or twice a week for more then 10 years. The original owners sold out and the recipes immediately nose dived. The broth changed-for the worse. Phở Hung went from the standard I used to compare all others against, to below average. It is a shame. Now I drive by as fast as I can!

I have eaten a LOT of phở lately. Phở gai, to be specific. You know how kids go through food stages/kicks? I guess adults do too(like my sushi issue, ahem) but somehow with Kids it’s just so much more annoying. Princess only wants phở. And one or two other items. Mostly though, phở. Since I havent mastered making it(although a friendly nurse at Providence Immediate care told me you can produce it in a crock pot which I plan to try) we’ve been checking out every place within ten miles of my house. Tonight we tried it here. We arrived about 7:30. The place was pretty empty. There were one or two servers. They were also bussing dirty dishes and mopping. I hope they washed hands in between. The place was very clean. They both looked exhausted. Our server brought us tea and water and menus. She seemed tired and was not super talkative. She was chattering in Vietnamese with the people she seated right next to us(in a mostly empty restaurant it bugged me to have someone right behind me, but thats me I know). With us she was polite and brief. It was fine. Princess’ chicken phở was darker in color than we are accustomed to seeing. This might mean(as we learned at another place) that it’s beef broth labelled as chicken tasted like star anise which is usually more prominent in the beef phở. Frankly, I was too tired to ask,(she doesnt eat beef long story) and she didnt care-so she ate it. It was big. She brought half home. There was dark and white meat chicken in a separate bowl. It was ok. The usual suspects er i mean accompaniments were there: lime, basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos. They nicely put only broth and noodles in the big bowl as requested. Yay. I got bun, the big vermicelli bowl, with grilled pork and egg roll. The flavors were good. The lettuce was mostly whitish iceberg… not my fav but maybe traditional. The pork was flavored well but a little chewy. Our bill was $ 16.50. I’d say that was pretty reasonable. This wasn’t bad food, just not our fav. Princess prefers the broth at Vivi’s(very pure, tasty and clear and from organic chickens) and I like the bun at any number of other places better. That said, we’d come here again but maybe not go out of our way for it.

#22 and any Phở item is always a sure win. Customer service varies visit by visit but the quality of food always come through for me. I have been dining at Phở Hung Beaverton sporadically for the past seven years. I have previously lived in Tigard, and now in Woodburn, and still make an effort to come here for my Vietnamese food cravings. The salad rolls(I think #24) is always a great starter as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in phở or any Vietnamese food in general. The rice plates are definitely pleasing to the taste buds!

My husband and I LOVE Phở Hung! They are super cheap for massive portions($ 7 for a «small,» or $ 7.50 for a large — we get the large every time), and they have fantastic ad-ins to make your phở just the way you like it. By the time my husband and I are done personalizing our phở, they taste like two completely different dishes. I love to add the mint, lime, bean sprouts and a dash of spicy oil, and he goes nuts with the sauces. We’ve never tried any of their other food because, let’s face it, who needs other food when you have phở. We also enjoy their iced tea, iced coffee, boba tea(it has great texture), and definitely appreciate the complimentary green tea. The building is in much better condition and maintenance than many other phở places I’ve been to, as well. Aaaaaaaand now I’m craving phở.

If you’re looking for good phở and fast service, this is the place to go. If you expect some friendliness from your server, don’t hold your breath for it. The last three times I have been here, including this afternoon, my server/cashier was talking on the phone the whole time she was ringing me up. That act alone screams unprofessional. Has there been a change in management/ownership? I feel like the service has gone down a LOT. This place has always had its ups and downs on service but this is ridiculous. If your server is too afraid to engage the customer then don’t have them on the floor. Merely grunting and holding the order pad doesn’t suffice for a conversation starter. I am sure they asked«Are you ready to order?» but the voice was so soft that I couldn’t hear it. Food is still good although I’ve had better. The menu should be updated a little. Every time I order the rice plate with steamed chicken and kimchi, I’m told they have no kimchi. Have you ever had kimchi available for this menu item?

Yummy, yummy in my tummy! Phở Hung… oddly located, but glad they put one over on the west side! There aren’t many options on the west side for Phở, and this is one of the best. Clean, prompt service, friendly staff, good food, and fair prices. My fave is the #17 round steak Phở. The broth is not my fave, but overall is a darn good meal. Once I add in ALL of the delicious sauces available who really cares what the broth originally tasted like? I appreciate they give you both water and hot tea to start. Their egg rolls are crunchy and filling. Their prices are $ 7 for a small and only $ 7.50 for a large. However, with the large I’ve noticed it’s likely just added broth… not more meat or noodles. At least this has been my experience. I’m really interested in trying other items on their menu besides the Phở… but it’s just so darn stinking good! I would certainly recommend this place if you live in the area!
