Great selection of top quality olive oils and balsamic vinegar, plus other gourmet goodies. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They also have some amazing gift boxes they can send anywhere in the country.

What an AWESOME find!!! Such a cool, unique place for gourmet gifts and treats for those who love food /love to cook. Blake and his staff are so helpful — and they put together the neatest suggestions and recipes for dinner parties /entertaining. The other thing I discovered were fun hostess gifts — and an awesome place for CLIENT gifts! SO glad I discovered this Lake Oswego GEM.

Wow! What a feast of favors. Fine flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars, about 30 or 40 of them, are all offered for tasting. They also have a nice selection of herbs and spices and some other foods too. The oils and vinegars are the stars and they are excellent. At $ 16 or $ 18 per bottle, they seem expensive. But remember that this is not cooking oil; these are flavors and they are powerful flavors and a little goes a long way. Parking can be a problem in downtown Lake O., but there is a nice public lot just a few doors down from Oilerie.

A cute little store for a nice concept for foodies and those looking for a gift for a foodie. here you can taste a variety of flavored olive oils and balsalmics(there is also a small variety of other food goodies). The Oilerie is actually a chain; there are none on the west coast but this one at this time. The owner is friendly and easy to talk with, and shares both tips for using the products and stories of their adventure, if you’ve got the time to chat. Easy to find, street parking, and all the oil and balsalmic products are available for tasting. Although instead of just taking a few drops in a cup, it would be easier to taste with, for instance, a small cube of bread. One can only taste so much oil, so I kept to only three or so. I also wish they had smaller bottles; when you find one you want, you fill a 12.7oz bottle. I would really have liked to come away with four 6 ounce bottles of various flavors to try, but with only larger bottles available, we just tried one oil and one balsalmic. Once your bottle is filled, it sports a little metal tag stating what it is, and the date you purchased it is written on the back. You can bring back washed bottles and return them, receiving a one dollar credit on other oil purchases. A nifty thing to try, I’d go back if another foodie friend had an interest.

Whenever I meet small business owners, I commend them for taking a risk and opening a business especially in this economy. I had the chance to meet one of the owners, Marta, who was so sweet! I immediately felt her passion for specialty olive oil. She was knowledgeable, informed, and encouraged us to try and sample. The spices Oilerie carries are SO reasonable… if you’re in the market or simply have a taste for great quality of oils and spices like I am, stop by Oilerie one afternoon!
