I rarely fill my gas tank myself(I have a wonderful hubby who does it for me), so I rarely even look at the gauge, but today a low fuel light popped on our way to Portland, so I needed some gas before he hit the highway. We are a Chevron family, and we exclusively buy gas from them unless there is an emergency. We pulled in, each of us driving our own vehicles and I found it quite odd each island only has 2 pumps, instead of the normal 4. I am not quite sure why, but perhaps keep it from becoming a cluster you know what when busy. The entire place is covered, and quite large, had a mini-mart I believe. It is not that easy to get into, you can only get into the station if you are traveling south, if you are coming from the other way you have to turn onto the street which parallels it and then into another driveway where you can access the gas station. They were pretty empty when we arrived, but getting out of there is a hell of a hassle, you have to compete with drivers exiting Fred Meyers. It would not be my first choice for filling up. Nice kid working there tho!

Better service than most. Busy location but they keep up. People seem happy to work there. Don’t go in to the store when there is a huge lotto jack pot. There are numerous morons buying tickets and seem compelled to pick their own numbers. The bathrooms are clean and the store is also very clean.

Some young buck actually brought back an old-school filling station philosophy: Washing the windows of the car. I regret I didn’t tip him, but at least I remembered to say«hey, thanks.»
