Took the family here for a brunch after a morning soccer game and had the specialty sandwich. Honestly liked my broccoli side more than I liked my chicken salad, but the cookies were great and my kids enjoyed themselves. I intend to go back and will probably go for the Reuben or a burger that looked great on neighboring plates. Great service, good deserts, and a cozy little place I hope to frequent.

Good little restaurant, quaint and kitschy country feel, situated in the corner of a small strip center; decorated like your Grandma’s favorite eating spot. However, excellent food! Good soups, and excellent sammies. Everything appears to be from scratch at this place. They also bake pastries in-house and the glass bakery counter displays show they have a baker back there who knows how to shake ‘n bake! This place is a winner for a great meal; no alcohol served here. As stated already, it feels like you’ve come home to an older relative’s house for an excellent, all-American meal. I had a trio salad, and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked like superb lunch fare. The burgers are next up for me, it seems to be one of the house specialties. I’m looking forward to returning. Highly recommend.

I found this place via Unilocal while looking for a brunch spot near my hotel in Beavercreek. As I drove up I was really skeptical. It has a drive through window and it looks pretty kitschy. Inside it feels a little dated and again, kitschy. However, the staff was super friendly from the moment that we walked in the door until we left. Their breakfast menu had sandwiches which were all under $ 3(seriously!) and combinations that were $ 6.95. The combinations were an insane amount of food like 3 pancakes, 4 pieces of bacon, and 2 eggs for $ 6.95. I was sure it would be microwaved crud at those prices but it was all really tasty. Definitely, traditional homestyle stuff, but solid. They also have a decent sized case of bakery goods like cookies, pies, eclaires, etc. I didn’t try anything today but the next time I’m in the area I intend to. Definitely give this place a try, especially if you are looking for a cheap homestyle meal.

Great breakfast for very reasonable prices! I got the omelet breakfast special which came with toast and fresh fruit for only 6.99-so great! I had the house omelet which has their house sauce, which was a sweet chili style sauce. We had a great waiter who took great care of us. Great portion sizes as well. The ‘country’ décor made me question the place at first, but the food was good and hot plus we had great service. Highly recommend

My sister and I are visiting Dayton from Texas for the WGI competition. I found this restaurant through Unilocal,as it had great reviews. It did not disappoint. This place serves fresh, home cooked comfort food. It’s delicious and reasonably priced. We’ve been here five times in three days! No, I’m not kidding! We’ve probably gained 5lbs each, but its’s worth it! And the staff is super friendly and welcoming.

A lovely little place with s quaint dinning area; two quant dining areas, actually. The food was excellent. I ordered the steak sandwich with Swiss cheese and sautéed onions and peppers. Came out piping hot and the bread was perfect, crusty on the outside soft on the inside. I had the homemade chips with catchup. It was really good. My sister had the pretzel Rubens and broccoli salad which I tried and it was also very tasty. It was neat and clean and everyone was super friendly. It’s a little off the main road but well worth the pursuit.

My husband had been here a few times and suggested I stop in when I mentioned heading to Dayton. The location looks like nothing special, but has a cute little canopy out front. Parking wasn’t busy. Quickly seated in a typical café with vinyl table cloths. Menu was plentiful, but wish breakfast was an all day offering. I ordered the cherry apricot chicken salad on croissant with homemade chips. Delicious! Another at the table ordered a burger and it was a hit as well. Next time I’m thinking I’ll order the Reuben. Another hit at our table and it looked yummy with all the oozy cheese. After lunch we tried a bite of peanut butter pie. I don’t think I could eat more than the single bite I had. Ordered muffins to go that looked to good to pass up. Verdict, orange cream sickle was a winner. Kids chicken was pretty basic… but she’s 7 and she loved it.

How have I not reviewed this place? Dessert heaven! All made in house! Toffee cookie is my favorite but I would eat one of each if I could! I’ve never had a bad meal. Everything is done exceptionally well with great portions. Look out for their specials because they tend to be pretty awesome and priced well! Broccoli salad is a great side with everything, yes it’s a MUST! If you like home cooking food with quality that is above par then try this place!

We ate at the Cherry House Café for the first time to day. The café has has a very pleasant atmosphere, clean surroundings and nice wait staff. We had the pot pie soup and a roast beef sandwich. Both items were very delicious. The coffee was very fresh. Our orders came out timely. Prices were reasonable. I will come back sometime soon. Recommend!

Very good breakfast food, and the cook cooked us breakfast past the normal time when breakfast food is available! Excellent service and excellent food! The scrambled eggs are made just right, the potato cakes(hash browns) are also very well made. This restaurant is a golden egg in the basket of restaurants in the area!

I come here regularly and am never disappointed. The food is fresh and made from scratch. The dessert selection is awesome with pies, cookies, pastries, and more. The prices are fair and there are daily specials. The soups and the chicken salad are awesome. Today I had the cranberry chicken salad on a bed of fresh greens and a side of broccoli salad. Both were delicious. This place is one of my favorites in Beavercreek and is a refreshing change from all the chain restaurants.

Had lunch there today. We ordered the portebello mushroom/cheese burger, turkey club, and sweet and spicy wings. Everything was as ordered and delicious! We have ordered the pot pie soup in the past and it’s always delicious. Much better than prepackaged soups you find in the big name restaurants.

Let me start by saying I’m no local with nothing to compare good restaurants to. I’ve lived in several states and traveled the world. I visited the Cherry House Café for the first time today, after living in the area for a year and their food is some of the best I’ve ever had. I’d even go as far to say that they’re in my top 5 favorite restaurants… ever. The chicken pot pie soup is magical. I don’t know what they put in it, but calling it good, or even amazing would be an understatement. The cherry apricot chicken salad sandwich was also really, really good. So yeah, I don’t know how it took me a year to hear about this place but I will be back, and soon. Food this good is rare, and coupled with great service and a great atmosphere, truly a diamond in the rough. I only wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Cute little café, went here on a Tues eve… the food was fresh and tasted good. The chicken pot pie soup was delicious!!! The salads were ok once they actually made it to the table. The wait time for food was too long. We waited 45 – 50 mins for salads… so prepare for delays and have time in your schedule. With the amount of time that we waited, I would have expected some money back or a free slice of pie or something… nothing came. Never even saw a manager on the floor. The wait staff were running around so they couldn’t do much except try to keep up and harp on the kitchen staff. With the right service, would have been an easy 4 – 5 stars…

Wow. I’m disappointed to say that this was one of the worst meals I’ve had in Dayton. We came in on a Sunday for breakfast and they were grossly understaffed. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. It was clearly evident that everything is pre-processed. I strongly recommend that you consider another option if you are looking for a good/fresh meal and quality service.

Service slow with two tables occupied on a Sunday morning at 9:30am. Eggs and sausage were cold. Sent them back. I heard microwave ding and then I had hot eggs and sausage really quick. Eggs were very bland and the sausage patties were frozen out of a bag. The sausage was slimy. I didn’t eat either after I sent them back. Went to Starbucks after to get a good coffee. Nice people, not scratch and poor execution. Will not be recommending to anyone.

My House special omelette was good. But overall I would say this place was just ok. Not super impressed and the menu very small. Also they don’t open until 8. A bit late for breakfast in my opinion. Not sure I will come back but was happy with my food

After a soccer game and having to wait 2 hours for our next game we wanted a good breakfast for my son, so we decided to stop here instead of a McDonald’s. So glad that we did. The waiter was very pleasant and quick to take care of us. My son had the cheese, eggs and bacon with a cup of fruit and not only it was good it was very filling for him. My husband is on a diet so he had to go with the veggie omelette and OMG that was amazing. The omelette was full of fresh vegetables and the flavor was perfect. I’m getting that the next time. Very cozy place and next time we are going for their desserts. We didn’t have any but everything looks yummy! We will be back next week again

Cherry House Café is a hidden treasure in Beavercreek. It’s located next to the Kroger Marketplace on Dayton-Xenia Road. And bonus points — they have a drive thru for to go orders! At Cherry House you’ll find a fresh assortment of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and plenty of offerings to satisfy your sweet tooth. Normally I’m not a fan of chicken salad, but the cherry apricot chicken salad sandwich here is AMAZING! Sweet and juicy apricot and cherry pieces compliment shredded chicken with mayo, lettuce, and tomato on a flakey croissant. The famous house chips are a perfect side. If you’re looking for a change from the mundane lunch, give Cherry House Café. They are also open for breakfast!

I have eaten here twice, once dining in and the other time was take out for a work meeting. For take-out we ordered the box lunches, which consist of your choice of a sandwich, a side and a cookie. I ordered the Cherry Apricot Chicken Salad croissant, Broccoli Cherry Nut Salad and a peanut butter cookie. All very good. The croissant was fresh and buttery, the chicken salad had the perfect mix of chicken, dried cherries and apricot and best part is that it did not have too much mayonnaise. Many times restaurants put too much mayo in tuna and chicken salad. The cookie was pretty good but had too much sugar on the top. The second time, I dined in. It was during lunch time so fairly busy, although we were seated right away. Service was okay, server was nice but a little slow moving. I ordered the chicken salad croissant again, this time it was the special of the day and had dried cranberries and nuts. Same as before, it was good. For the side I tried the loaded baked potato salad and for the cookie — oatmeal and raisin. Overall their food is pretty good, I would go back again for lunch if I was in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way.

I was excited to try this place because it was written up recently for serving a great breakfast. Sadly, we arrived at 11am on a Sunday and we had just missed being able to order breakfast. It seemed a bit early for a Sunday but, ok, I get it. The kitchen can’t handle producing the breakfast and lunch menus at the same time. We ordered off lunch menu and the results were very, ordinary. The house chips, a nice touch, were under seasoned and over cooked. The sandwiches were fine but not special in any way. My favorite thing on the plate was the pickle spear, not exactly worth going out of your way to try. The cookie was the final disappointment. It was so under baked that center was nearly raw. The service and décor deserve a quick note. Our server was oddly sedate. He had the slack face and monotone of the heavily medicated, no smile, eye contact or voice inflection. The headset he wore only added to the strangeness of the experience. The docor could generously be decribed as «shabby chic«but in actuality it looks like a cheap B&B circa 1985.

So, after a long week, Jules and I – along with our friend Fred – slipped into the Cherry House Café to grab some grub before our Friday night game night. We’d heard some great recommendations from some of Jules’ coworkers, so I was really hoping for a great home style meal. What we got was… decidedly meh. The décor of the restaurant itself reminded me of a 1940s era tea house, with pink pastel walls and floral patterns throughout the place. The front counter even had a cooled display with the café’s baked goods, ready to tempt all comers. Really, the food was kind of underwhelming. We started with some boneless wings which were overcooked and difficult to eat, in a watery garlic butter sauce. Jules and I both ordered burgers, which were decidedly overdone and unseasoned. The buns were flavorful, as you’d expect from a bakery, but the burgers themselves just didn’t have the juiciness or flavor that you’d expect from a quality burger. Our burgers came with a choice of side and a cookie: Jules opted for the broccoli/cherry salad, while I chose the fruit cup and immediately regretted my decision upon seeing it, as nearly all the fruit obviously came from a can. Our cookies, on the other hand? Phenomenally good. My white chocolate cherry cookie was moist, flavorful, and utterly delicious. Food-wise, Cherry House Café is absolutely nothing to write home about. The best things in the place are the baked goods, which are the only items keeping their place in my memory at all. Sorry, gang. Give this place a pass unless you’re jonesing for some cookies.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this place. The food was fantastic. Everything was made fresh. We had the Apricot Chicken Salad, the Blueberry Chicken salad special & the Chicken, lettuce & tomato, all wonderful. They serve homemade potato chips with all the sandwiches. Their Broccoli, Chery, Nut salad is very good, and available as a side. The bakery is not to be missed. We shared a piece of the absolutely sinful Peanut-butter pie. We also took more to go. Our server TJ was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff was really friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you are ever in Beavercreek Ohio The Cherry House Café is a must see.

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I have no idea how this place has so many five star reviews. Are you sure you went to the Cherry House Café? Perhaps I expected too much? Why not a one star review? Their staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating. I returned my first salad because it was so horrible I couldn’t stomach it. The problem? they heated up the chicken, threw it on a bed of lettuce, put some cheese on it and served it. Boys and girls what happens when you put warm chicken on cold salad? The lettuce wilts and becomes warm and soggy. The cheese melts. You are left with a warm, soggy, unpalatable salad. Disgusting. Our waiter returned it and I got a salad without the chicken and ya know what? Chicken or no chicken it is the same price. Ridiculous. Cookies are not great either. Not sure what everyone raves about. We got one with heath bars and honestly it tasted old. I will never be back here. It was that bad.
