Merry Maids

My husband booked Merry Maids recently as we were moving into a new home and wanted everything fresh and clean. My mother– in– law let them in to clean and reminded them that because the house was in decent shape already (and empty), we wanted them to clean inside kitchen drawers, dust and to do the floors and bathrooms. There were two women there for two hours, and to be honest we have yet to figure out what they actually did while here. None of the light fixtures, fans, blinds, etc. were dusted even though their website considers that standard. I had to clean out all the insides of the kitchen drawers and cabinets prior to unpacking my kitchen boxes (something we were trying to avoid). The wood floors were streaky and had spots with residue on them, so it doesn’t look like they were done. The bathrooms seemed ok, but other than that we are at a loss as to why we paid all that money. My sister has used cleaners to freshen up a new home multiple times, and says they should know what to do for that specific situation. She also said she’s paid half as much as we did for that service and was happy with the results. Honestly, we think Merry Maids was a huge waste of $ and feel taken advantage of. Would not recommend–
