I was hoping to move here from out of state – it’s such a nice-looking building(from the pictures and the outside). I called 2 weeks before I was in town(specifically to scout out places to live), and made an appointment with«Ashley,» the office manager, on the phone for a Saturday at noon(2 weeks later). The day before my appointment, I got a message on my phone from Ashley confirming my appointment for Saturday at noon. However, when I drove all the way out to Beaver Dam from where I was staying in Madison(which is about an hour away), no one was there. I waited until 12:30. I called the emergency number since no one appeared to be in the office(which is right next to the front door and all the lights were off). The answering service told me that they are contractors for the agency that owns the building, and that they didn’t even know the building manager’s name(never a good sign if you want to live there and have maintenance done after hours). They asked if I could simply reschedule(well, NO – I was there for the weekend from out-of-state looking for a place to live in a month). They didn’t seem overly concerned that I’d wasted a combined 3 hours of my time getting all the way out there. I left a perturbed message with the office management’s voicemail and have not heard from them since. Needless to say, I’m pretty annoyed. It’s too bad, because the apartments look like they have so much character(from the pics, anyway) – but the management did not give a good impression. Plus, their office is only open 3 days a week. So I give this place a big thumbs-down. It’s not too much to ask that you show up when you say you’re going to be there. The fact that they didn’t is a symptom of what’s probably a much bigger problem.
