I used to come to black waters before I found Higher Grounds. I think the coffee is great, but the staff never speaks up when they talk to you, and that’s if they speak to you at all. Everyone here seems like they hate their job or something, it’s quite strange. I do love the look for the building, however the cb airs are extremely uncomfortable.
Obviously I come here from time to time, but it’s only because I’m getting my car looked at across the street.

I don’t often visit Black Waters in winter since I usually walk there, though I have enjoyed their hot drinks as well. I love to take my daughter there in summer and get an amazing iced chai or one of their other fantastic summer coolers for the walk home! The interior is a really lovingly dressed up old industrial building. they have managed to keep all the charm of age with none of the cold unwelcome atmosphere I’ve felt at other similar business sites. The décor and atmosphere feels fresh, modern, clean and comfortable even with concrete floors. My one wish is that, while they have a kids plate for sandwiches, it is not really any smaller than an adult size. My daughter is 2, so while she loves the banana peanut butter panini, she usually eats only a quarter to a third of the serving. A half sized serving would be great. But as a coffee shop, 2 year olds aren’t really their target clientele, so I couldn’t really dock a star for that.

Often a regular to Black Waters Coffee Co. Not too much of a coffee fan, but their panini sandwiches and soups are very good. I usually get the roast beef and asiago one, but I substitute the roast beef with chicken. Much better than going to Subway.
Always very friendly staff and it usually doesn’t take too long to get your order.
