I’m currently from Houston but here in Beaumont for work training. My trainer suggested we(we as in my co workers and I) try to this place out. First, the cashier was great. She was really patient and helpful with us in making a suggestion. I ended up ordering a 12′ which is the small. I created my own pizza. It was pretty good. The reason why I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars is because they kept messing up our orders. And we waited like 30 minutes for them to get the orders right. SMH. Horrible service and bad communication with the kitchen.

Last time I ever order from this place. Manager was rude and told me to stop asking if my order was ready and I needed to get back in the line which by this time was out the door. I had been in the line and was told it wasn’t ready. I sat to wait for it as the line was supposed to be to order and I had called mine in. Turns out it had been sitting on top of the shelf for 20 minutes getting cold. They tried to sell it to me cold and I told him he could keep it and that was the last time I’d ever patronize this place. Get back in line my a**!! What a jerk

The first time I tried this pizza, my mom was raving to me about how delicious it was going to be and that it resembles the pizza from our favorite pizzeria in Houston — Brothers Pizza. We ordered pepperoni on the whole pie and sausage on half, and God, it was delicious. Has an authentic New York style pizza flavor and perfect for folding! I like thin style crust more than regular so this was already a plus, and I’m glad they didn’t over sauce the pizza. Toppings were not skimpy at all! Would definitely go again and try a pizza with more veggies next time. Only reason why I’m not giving five stars is because the bottom of the pizza in the crust was a little dark — not burnt, just dark, and I don’t really prefer that.

The pizza is pretty good. Had some that was delivered to work. There were a few pizzas including a spinach, basil, and tomato. It had a nice crust that wasn’t too thin or thick and the toppings and sauce were tasty – all in all better than what you get at the usual chains. Not every pizza needs a ton of meat and toppings. Some of my coworkers love to go to lunch at this place. I think the lunch specials are bland and try to make up for it with a lot of cheese. The salad dressing(watered down marinara sauce with vinegar and sugar) is strange. The service is good though. Efficient and friendly. It’s never my lunch pick, but I don’t mind going with friends who like it. If it were closer to home i would probably stop by to pick up a pizza for dinner. Four stars for the pizza and two for the pasta.

This was my first time at the Calder location. I ordered the 18″ pizza with additional 8 toppings for about $ 18. The portion size is around 8 huge New York style pizza that is long and flat. The taste is relatively average and the pizza is super wet and greasy when you let it sit for a while on your plate. We also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for the little ones. The entrée comes with salad and a basket of fresh rolls coated with shredded cheese. Serving size did not disappoint and the marinara sauce was thick and heavy. The entrée also came with two decent sized meatballs that were hearty and tasty! The service was good. The staff brings out your orders and drinks once you pay for your meal. The staff checks up on you often to see if you need any refills and are quite attentive to all of the patrons in the restaurant.

That’s being nice. First off our food was ice cold! The Chicken Stromboli tasted old and the chicken was breaded and like rubber. The pizza was wrong and smelled and tasted bad. So let just say we Called Pizza Hut. Ugh. Beaumont need a real Italian Pizza place. Never going here again.

Ehh. I’m from NY. So I know good Italian food and specially, PIZZA! Their pizza was okayy i guess and their calzone was just pure tastless! Tiramisu was alright too. The ambiance was romantic and staff was super friendly!

Excellent food, excellent service and simply fabulous pizza. It’s apparently a popular place as people were steadily coming in while we were here. Their rolls are really good. Had the house dressing on my salad which was delicious — a tomato basil vinaigrette. Spaghetti was delicious but enough for two maybe three people.

It’s really dark in here. I feel like I need a flashlight to look at my date. You order at the register and a server brings your food to you and waits on you. The food is great other than some of the dishes being soaked in grease but you can’t taste it. I usually order the ranch salad and the combo dish, margarita pizza, or chicken primavera. It’s always good and I always leave with leftovers. Avoid the fettuccine Alfredo, I ordered this dish once and could have sworn that the sauce was white gravy instead of Alfredo. Also if you’re an appetizer person, ask for stuffed mushrooms it isn’t on the menu anymore but some locations still serve them depending on who’s working when you go and, if you like cheese, they are amazing!

Good pizza. I like that there is an ample amount of marinara sauce on their pizzas, unlike other similar locations that seem to skimp on the sauce. I also like that they have so many options available on their menu! You order & pay at the counter and then a waiter or waitress will attend to you and bring out your drinks and food once you choose a seat. Nice, dark ambience and sometimes they have live music.

Love the food and atmosphere! They redid the restaurant a while back and it turned out awesome. Sometimes they have a person singing while you eat and they are always very good. This location is BYOB and it’s a 5 dollar charge for them to open the bottle.

The husband and I love this place. We’ve eaten there probably a dozen times in the last several years. We’ve never been dissatisfied with anything we’ve had. Love the fact that it byob too!

Pizza is really good!!! Caesar salad is alright but I’ve had better. Service sucks sometimes but what restaurant doesn’t in SETX. Great neighborhood and closest thing to big slices of ZA like you would get in New York.

I got a stromboli, which the guy at the counter told me he was especially proud of. It had two slices of pepperoni, two slices of Canadian bacon, and about half a pound of bland sausage. A decent deal for the money but not as flavorful as I wanted. The service arrangement here is weird. Why have a waitress who brings me food after I order it at the counter and refills my drinks from a soda fountain in the dining area? I can get my own drink.

The bread here is fabulous!!! If youre a bread lover like me, a trip just for the bread is worth it! Our server was extremely pleasant and so was the ambiance. I could’ve done without the 80 yr old karoke man playing his guitar sometime later in the evening though. Also, dont expect much of the actual main dishes. Its more like italian fast food. I can’t speak for all of them since ive only tried 3 but i would not go here again for that.

After at least 15 trips I was hooked on the pizza by the slice. My only complaint was by the time it got home(I live 4 min. away) the pizza is cold so it requires another pop in the oven. OK so one day my husband brings home the food(he always gets the meatball sub) and I take a few bites of my cheese pizza and immediately I know it tastes different. I take a few more bites and realize there is almost no sauce on it. Since I didn’t order it like that I called and told the lady that I got a peice with no sauce and was unsatisfied but would be happy to come down there if they would just throw a new one in the oven so it would be ready when I get there. Surprisingly the lady repeats my statement to the owner and comes back on the phone and says that he said there is nothing wrong with my pizza and that he will not replace it. I was shocked at this and told her I would just come and show him there was no sauce. After showing him my slices without sauce he said that is how it’s supposed to be and that I need to order it with extra sauce next time if I don’t like how it is. Appalled I told him I guess you don’t know this(the man has personally served me 6 times at least) I have had this pizza at least 15 times or more and I really love it but this must have mistakenly been made incorrectly. He proceeds to take the defensive route by showing me a ladle with the amount of sauce that always goes on every pizza. I said even if that’s the case my pizza does not taste right and that I would like a refund or a replacement slice on the one I had not touched yet. He says that I can buy more slices but he would not replace my slices because there was nothing wrong with them. I had also asked the guy why my slices didn’t even look close to the pizza sitting under the heat lamp and he said it was because mine was older. Hmm. He even proceeded to peel back the cheese on my pizza. There were only remnants of red sauce and by no means a normal amount I had come to like from this pizza. I think a women and kids came in at this point. I was so shocked by his rudeness I asked him his reasoning over why not just make me happy. What was so important about sticking to his guns that he would make a scene in front of other customers, lose a loyal customer’s business who will most likely tell everyone she knows not to go to this place over. all over $ 3 worth of pizza. Even if I was wrong, a normal American business owner would have forged the possibility of a confrontation in front of other patrons and make the customer happy and so they won’t «Yelp» about it to others. But this guy had a lot of nerve to refuse a refund, refuse to replace the pizza, touch my pizza with his bare hands without my consent and tell me to leave if I don’t buy anything else. Even though this guy needed a dose of reality about what American consumers expect I forgave his bad customer service skills and I went home without a refund or a fresh slice. So here is my review, its great New York style pizza and pretty great Italian food too. The price is just right and the take out is fast. But avoid the pizza nazi by hoping you will like what you are served bc if you don’t you will pay for it anyway with no apology.

Simply the best pizza in town! The pasta dishes are also delicious and they’ll make anything special order. Just ask for artichokes, spinach, etc. on your pizza and they’ll make it any way you like. Super inexpensive, BOYB/W, super awesome! Lunch specials are $ 5 and the portions are the same as at dinner. Great place to go for a nice, quick lunch.
