The Roach Motel. Moving the alarm clock revealed 2 roaches. A 3rd smaller roach was discovered later. Noise from the highway was very loud.

Nice rooms and a decent location but 15 minutes before checkout an employee knocked on our door and told us we have 15 minutes to get out or they will call the cops. When I brought this to the mangers attention he said don’t worry about it they will take care of it in house.

Booked this hotel, sorry MOTEL, through hotwire and was totally pissed when I found that hotwire has been advertising this place as a 2−½ star hotel. For me, it was a deal breaker. I refused to even check in. The place is right off the highway, which may be ok for some people, but I was a female travelling alone and no way was I going to be subjected to a sleepless night in a MOTEL room. Motels are for destination spot only like Mexico, Jamaica, or anywhere close to a beach. Not Beaumont, Texas right next to Interstate 10. That’s not safe. Additionally, the property looked very old, and many reviews all reported a damp, humid feel inside the rooms, with smelly carpets and a general«wetness» in the room. What’s that all about? Hotwire really calls this 2−½ stars. Had I known, I would never book a place like this. I wasted 75 dollars(the $ 58 room charge plus taxes). I feel cheated by hotwire and Howard Johnson.

Spent last night here to avoid a long drive after a late night. Planned ahead for this and reserved a room with a whirlpool tub insuite. I must say, it was the largest one I’ve seen in a motel suite. Plenty of room for two to lounge. Sadly, the pressure from the jets was on the weak side. The king bed was very soft. So were the pillows. Not necessarily in a good way on either count. The room was clean and looked freshly furnished. The staff was quite friendly. Convenient location, decent price, free carb-tinental breakfast and absolutely, positvely ZEROWI-FI, free or otherwise.

Crashed here for the night while on a cross country road trip. We chose it because 1) the manager had responded to negative comments on with an apology and his plan to address complaints 2) it was cheap and near the 10 Freeway. It turned out to be a great choice. We got a room for just about $ 52 with the AAA discount. The manager and the woman at the front desk were very friendly and had our reservation ready and waiting when we arrived. They let us park the giant U-Haul in a good spot even though it took up 3 parking spaces. The room was spotless although it was(of course) a little worse for the wear but no worse than expected. The only downside was the thin walls but with a pair of ear plugs it was no problem. All in all a good choice!
