Another waypoint campground on our journey west. It is about a mile off of I-10, lots of good signage to lead you here. A smaller campground, tucked back in what seems like nowhere. Very friendly staff upon arrival. Grounds in great shape. Paved roads and pads. Extremely clean bathroom/showers, there are 4 private bathrooms. And a clean affordable laundry room. They also have a little reception area where you can work on a puzzle, have some coffee and or a complimentary little snack. They have a private little lake that is fishable, you don’t need a license. Full hook ups, 30⁄50 amps, free cable and wifi. Good Verizon service here and good satelitte reception. Sites each have a nice picnic table and there is more than adequate space between the sites. It is close to the highway and to some railroad tracks. But you are not bothered by them. We only heard the train two times, late afternoon. They do not seem to travel on these tracks at night. There seems to be quite a few things to do in the area, we are only here for a day, but looks to be enough to do to warrant a 3 – 4 day stay. For discounts they recognize Escapees, Passport America, Good Sam, FMCO and also offer military discounts.
