Happy Dounts

I like this doughnut shop! It’s small but it serves its purpose.
The workers are friendly and their product is quite delicious — of course, when are doughnuts not delicious — but these doughnuts have a different taste to them… Not in a bad way. When it comes to their savory breakfast items (sausage kolaches, ham, egg, and cheese croissants, etc., etc.) their bread slightly reminds me of traditional Vietnamese bread and it makes the items taste so good!
I could be wrong but that’s what my taste buds are saying.
Their glaze is different as well, I honestly am not a big fan of it. It leaves the roof of my mouth feeling like I just smothered it with grease and left it there to dry. This however, only happens sometimes, sometimes their glaze is on point.
If you happen to go in on a day when the glaze is overly grease infused and can get past the situation… they have huge doughnut holes!

Pretty much your average Dount shop located in the south end of Beaumont… Happy Dounts is open from about 5am til 12pm so for those that are on their way to the plant or business this is a good spot to pickup your coffee, orange juice or hot chocolate.
the prices are reasonable and their sandwiches are good!
The owners are very attentive and maintain there shop nice and clean
