The rooms are clean and the staff was friendly. The main issues I had with this hotel was no couch in the King room or rollaway bed for two-year-old daughter. The TV only worked on sound(no picture). This hotel is only three stories but there is only one elevator. And this past weekend when I went was also graduation weekend so there was tons of kids running around playing on the elevator and in the hallways. But overall if you’re just looking for a clean bed to pop your head on this place is OK at best.

Double charged my credit card. I use Priceline frequently and this is the 3rd time that a hotel has swiped my card for«incidentals» and charges me for the stay. This isn’t the 3rd time at this particular hotel or hotel chain but I gave the 2 previous hotels the benefit of the doubt. Now it just pisses me off because the front desk should not be making a mistake like this. They did correct the charge. Now besides the double charge I would’ve rated the hotel a 2 star. Not the quality hotel for what they’re charging.

The hotel is going through a remodel, but it is outdated and not very clean. Our room(with new furniture and carpet) was ok but the hallway was kinda scary. Very narrow and only one small elevator. If you’re going to spend money on a room, I’d look elsewhere

I stayed here for work. There were renovations underway but it didn’t really bother me. The fitness center was closed which I was not happy about but they allowed me to use the one next door at courtyard by Marriott. The lady working at the desk was super friendly and nice. The hotel is a bit outdated but comfortable. I would probably stay here again because it’s closer to the restaurants I like to eat at. I wanted to add that the breakfast is not too great. I had cereal and some cut fruit. Some of the fruit had flies around it and looked beaten up: o.

I hate to keep giving one star ratings, but I rate them honestly. I Can’t believe this hotel has the Marriott brand. It was really bad, especially the termites.

I travel extensively for work and almost exclusively stay at Courtyards, but decided to give this Fairfield a try when I discovered that the Courtyard next door had no vacancies. The service is good and there was a note in my suite informing me that a major renovation is coming… and yes, it is important for the manager to make that point because the hotel just isn’t up to par with other Fairfield locations and is a huge step back from a Courtyard. The hallways are terrible… kind of scary to walk through. The two room suite I reserved wasn’t terrible, but upgrades are needed. I was also a little uneasy with the clientele… very different from what I am used to in a hotel stay… I had three seperate instances, in the hotel lobby and parking lot, where I didn’t feel comfortable with the people around me. Perhaps the worst issue is the internet… sooooo slow. I couldn’t do anything on it and had to switch over to my phone’s 4G tether. I HATE hotels with slow internet! It’s a deal breaker for me. BOTTOMLINE: Badly in need of a major renovation, rough crowd, slow internet, good service.

On our way to a cruise in Houston– stopped here for the night before boarding. The staff went out of their way to give us early check in and adjoining rooms. The pool area was clean and well maintained; the outside patio was a nice plus. Happy we chose Fairfield Inn!

There’s not a whole lot to choose from last minute in this area. We checked in really late in the evening and the elevator was gross… Guests not cleaning up after themselves in public areas and throwing trash on the ground. The room was fine. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but the A/C was coooold. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel won’t make it on my favorite list. When walking down the halls, I Keep waiting for the twins from the shining to pop out. Just has a different feel. The weight room, if you want to call it that, is in need of some updated equipment and definitely could use some weights and a bench in it. If you have kids, I’d keep them out of the pool. Pools aren’t suppose to have anything growing on the bottom or the sides. See photos…

I went here with Mariah D.(see below,) so I’ll try not to repeat her comments. Considering this is probably one of the higher end hotels in Beaumont, it was pretty disappointing. The hallways were dark and dingy, and the whole place just felt a litlte icky. The pool needs a major renovation. It looks like there’s green slime at the bottom, but it’s just years of wear on the bottom of the pool and uneven/chipped paint giving off that dirty look. The indoor pool was freezing on a hot July day, but there were plenty of towels on a shelf at the entrance/exit and lots of tables and chairs spread throughout. The room layout was strange, and I was disappointed to see an old school stereo inside. If my neighbors started playing theirs, I’d probably be one unhappy camper. I’m not sure how much a room in this place goes for since I was visiting family here, but whatever it is, it isn’t worth it.

DISCLOSURE: I did not spend the night here, but I visited a guest at this hotel. First off, when you enter, the doors aren’t automatic. Both me and my friend stood there at the door for a second before we realized we had to use a door handle. It sounds stupid, but you’re almost always carrying bags and have your hands full when entering a hotel, so automatic doors make sense. Overall, the rooms were strange — divided in to 3 sections. Bathroom, tiny«kitchen» area, good sized sitting area with a fake orchid and a stereo(who has a stereo in a hotel?) and then the«bedroom» which had the TV. The toiletries were of good quality at least — Pantene ProV for haircare items. There was also a AC unit under the window, like usual, but there was an additional AC device in the room that was fairly noisy. We couldn’t figure out what it was. Humidifier? No, this is Beaumont, dehumidifier? Just an air circulator thing? But the air coming out was cold. Who knows. The pool — HA! — oh, the pool! It’s only 5 feet deep and only about 15ft by 20ft in size. It’s not at all adequate for swimming laps and given the dreariness of it being INDOOR, its not appropriate for tanning or kid«fun» swimming either. The fact that it’s indoor also means that everything echoes in an unpleasant way. It’s not a heated pool, yet there are no skylights to capture the sun’s heat, so the water was chilly in the middle of the Texas summer(we were there in late July and it was 100+ degrees outside that day). We had to leave because the 4 year old with us was shivering and getting blue lips. FAIL. The hallways and elevators were filthy and dated. Fortunately the rooms seemed MUCH newer and cleaner than the common areas of this hotel.

Fairly standard for a Fairfield Inn: comfortable rooms; indoor pool and hot tub; wifi and continental breakfast included in the price. This property seems a bit older than many others in the brand. There were nicks in the wallpaper in my bedroom and bathroom.
