This place was excellent. It has a mom and pop feel to it and was delicious. I got the Ruben and my wife got the patty melt, both were awesome! The only downside was the wait at lunch time is long and there is limited seating. There are not many places to eat downtown so this place usually gets packed by 11. It is definitely worth the wait!

I was excited to find this hidden gem, right in the heart of Beaumont. I really enjoyed my lunch here! It is a great place to get a sandwich and the people are extra friendly. I am glad I took the time to stop in, I will definitely be back to try more items out on this delicious menu.

Chuck’s is a no-frills kind of mom and pop sandwich shop in the heart of downtown Beaumont. They have a ton of different types of sandwiches from po-boys, burgers, philly’s. clubs, grilled cheese, etc. They also have a few salads, baked potatoes done a few ways plus fries, tots and onion rings. The 1st time I went I got a Reuben. The Reuben had a ton of meat, light on the Russian dressing, cheese and sauerkraut. The bread was lightly toasted and the sandwich was basically perfect. I got a side of fries too but they were the boring crinkle cut frozen variety. Blah. The 2nd time I came I opted for a philly and onion rings. The Philly was basically heated up roast beef with 2 slices of what appeared to be Kraft swiss cheese melted on top. Plenty of meat but rather boring. I was hoping for some sauteed peppers and onions but it was just hot roast beef and cheese. The onion rings were decent. They seemed to be of the beer battered variety. Friendly people and fast service. I believe I’ll be back to try some of their other sammichs when I’m in town.

Great food! Fast service! This is a wonderful little local place for lunch. But you’ll have to search a bit for it. Don’t be deceived by the abandoned store front across the street, the restaurant has a new home on the opposite side of the intersection right on the corner. Come hungry because the serving sides are hardy.

This is a cute little sandwich shop located in downtown Beaumont. It was busy, in spite of there being nothing in business located around it. We walked up to the counter to order and were created with a friendly smile and willingness to answer questions. My coworker and I ordered the same thing, a tuna sandwich comb with fries instead of chips. We were offered a variety of breads for our sandwich, toasted or not. The soda fountain was located on the side in self-serve format. The food came out quickly and there was more than either of us could finish. The fries were crinkle fries and the sandwich was large. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. The menu had a variety of different options, including a couple of salads. I was very pleased with the place and would go back again.

Chucks Sandwich Shop located downtown is your normal«mom & pop shop» with the typical homemade feel food. The food is pretty good but the service and prices are what make it excellent. The menu consist mainly of simply sandwiches like clubs, tuna salad chicken salad etc. They also have a pretty good quality salad and a mean looking stuffed potato. The service is very good and your always greeted with a smile. The prices are very low for the basic sandwiches and most fall around $ 4. That’s fast food money for good quality food. Overall Chucks is a great place for a quick lunch or a light dinner that will leave you and your wallet happy.

This place is an oasis in an otherwise desolate central business district. The grilled chicken sandwich is always incredible. The ‘stuffed tomato’(can be stuffed with either chicken salad or tuna) is an excellent light menu option. If you feel decadent, try one of the huge slabs of fresh-made chocolate cake. It’s usually a very fast place to eat, but if you arrive at the peak lunch rush, there can be a line.

I’ve enjoyed Chuck’s for years. Locally-owned, divey and independent. The folks there are always nice. My personal favorite is tuna salad on toasted wheat. Their food is always fresh.

Friendly people, good prices and awesome food. Had the cheesesteak and it was some of the best roast beef in town. First time visiting but definitely won’t be the last.

I was not impressed with Chuck’s, especially given that my friends are always talking about how great this little place is. Maybe I ordered the wrong sandwich, but either way, I’m going to have to talk myself into visiting again. I ordered the grilled chicken sandy and a soda…$ 7 later and I could’ve gone to McDonalds for something better. The sandwich was super greasy, tons of mayo, which I 86’d when ordering, wilted lettuce, etc. etc. Because their menu is rather extensive, I might give it another try, but it’ll be a while.

Chucks Sandwich Shop moved across the street from its original location and I have finally tried it after looking at the old place for years. Today I walked in to an extremely crowded restaurant. Line to to door. We had a to go order, but still had to wait for the one cash register to pay. This sucked. The new place is nice and waiting gave me a chance to check out the menu and soak in the surroundings. The menu is pretty extensive, from burgers to phillys to nachos to deli sandwiches. We eventually got our order and got back to the office. I opened up my box for my turkey club. It wasn’t anything special, it looked like a sandwich I could make at home and be proud of. It was really simple and pretty darn tasty. The fries were not good, soggy and devoid of flavor. The meal was cheap, all the sandwiches were under $ 7.00, mine was 4.25 I think and the combo with a drink and fries was an extra 2.25. I will definitely be going back to try some other options. The food at the tables all looked promising and the crowd munching down looked very happy with Chucks.

This place is a must-eat! I am a very easily pleased kind of guy when it comes to my appetite. There are more days than I can count when I feel like a really heavy lunch would be a bad idea. The simple solution to that is Chuck’s. If you are looking for the kind of lunch that your mom made you when you were little, the kind of lunch that simply satisfies your hunger for easy ingredients used in the most practical manner. Simple, call Chuck’s. A great sandwich is much more than meat and bread, it is with their selection of high quality meats, fast service, and good attitude that keeps me coming back. The Ham & Swiss is just like mom made it, the turkey and american, just as good. I always have a basket of french fries and a diet coke with my meal. If you are looking for something that is quick, health conscious, and wallet friendly. Chuck is your man, or woman!
