Goodwill Industries of Delaware & Delawre Cnty

Three stars because the store is extremely clean and organized. Otherwise, this store’s book section is mostly comprised of tattered romance novels and Paula Deen cook books. Most of the clothing is lower end brands (think Target, Walmart) in poor condition that probably sold for Goodwill’s current asking price brand new.
You may find a gem like a stained Tahari blazer for $ 12, and if that’s your idea of a great thrifting day, you will love this store. I’m sticking with the Chadds Ford Goodwill

This is one of my favorite Goodwills around. They’re fairly priced especially compared to other Goodwills (I don’t even go to the one in Elkton anymore because it’s outrageous) and I always find a lot of cute clothes there. Everyone working there has always been really nice as well. And it’s also in a good location.

OK so I’m not a very thrifty person and have never been in a Goodwill before. My mother and sister kept telling me about the selection at this place and they finally got me there today. As soon as walking into the store, we we’re greeted by the friendliest worker. He actually shook my hand and asked how I was doing. He did this with every person who entered and I wasn’t surprised several shoppers knew him by name and he knew all theirs. I was kind of skeeved out, prior to going, but once I entered the store and saw the prices, I was in awe. I bought three pairs of name brand jeans, $ 5 a piece. Shirts and sweaters for $ 1.75 each! I even got some decorations for the house. I bought several bags of lightly worn merchandise for a whooping $ 36! I normally spend more than that on just one pair of denim. I’m extremely pleased with myself for digging through all the racks and finding some great pieces for home and work. The place was clean, the clothes were sized and color coordinated, and the employees were great! I will definitely be back!
