Hmm… one word to describe Long Dock Park? Serene. What a wonderful spot in Beacon to jog trails, walk the dog, take in a sunset, hone your photography skills, or enjoy the peacefulness and forget about life for a few moments. Do yourself a favor and stop on by for a while to decompress. Ah, yes. There is ample parking available as well at this gem on the Hudson.

Being I left Beacon 8 years ago and came back to find this beautiful park on the river was breathtaking. What a great relaxing place to visit and enjoy the views and cool breeze off the water. Such a great idea.

What park on the river is not beautiful? And this is no exception. My complaint… NOBENCHES!!! You can sit on the rocks overlooking the river, but if you want back support, forget about it! Please City of Beacon, plant some benches on the paths with views of the river!

Really nice small park by the water, clean, appears to have a jogging trail attached The pier area appears new, modernly construction with form and function in mind Dock has built in stools with fishing rod holders Stairs leading to the water for ease of docking small boats Lots of grassy space for picnicking and lounging Good view of the town across the river Boat launch on the right side

G Dog and I took a gander at this new park today located on the riverfront in Beacon. It is really lovely! They certainly have beautified the area quite a bit since its sloop club days(know I was there a few times but memories very hazy!) and now the area has been green spaced with a kayak launch, a Scenic Hudson eco building and lots of green grass for sitting and having a picnic. Or whatever. Dog friendly with poop bag stations and on Sundays it is close to the Farmers Market to get that picnic fare. Or whatever. I am sure as it comes into its own they will offer activities. Or whatever. Lovely spot not to be missed! Close to the MTA train and Dia: Beacon too. ;))) They should come and play there. Kind of Beacon-y. Not Beacon-y. LOLZ!
