8 Senses Salon & Spa

I went to this salon after switching from the salon I was going to for 12 years. I saw Gina. 2 things were wrong with my experience. 1) she was 30 minutes late. This was on New Year’s Eve and I came from the same direction as her. She said it was due to traffic. I encountered no traffic on my drive. Definitely not 30 minutes worth. 2) I said take off 2 inches and she took off 3 – 4. Also, and most importantly, my hair is not the same length around. I spent $ 155 on a cut and color plus a generous tip only to discover a few days later that the left side is longer than the right. She also wasn’t very professional but I won’t go into that. Do NOT see Gina.

Now she is texting me at 10:10 at night because she doesn’t like my review. And reporting me to Unilocal?Lol for what? Telling the truth?

Now Gina has her friends posting reviews for her. I think my pics speak for themselves. And the fact that a stranger who I’ve met once is harassing me because I left a bad review? That speaks volumes about the amount of class in this salon. I told her I’d take down the review if she refunded me for the price of the haircut (I told her she could keep her 25% tip). She agreed and then changed her mind and has been harassing me since. I had to block her number.
Part of doing business is understanding you can’t win them all. Some people will be happy and others won’t. When you mess up someone’s hair, you accept it and move on. Not at this salon. They’ll bully you until you remove your review! Not. Going. To. Happen.

Still getting harassed by dawn and/​or Gina. The more they harass me the more I’ll keep posting. Why? Because I refuse to be bullied into taking my review down. It’s entirely accurate. This is what Unilocal was created for. To leave reviews for businesses. I like that they call me a salon hopper like it’s an insult. I went to the same salon for 12 years and left because of price gouging. In fact, Gina complained to me that Dino Palmieri wouldn’t hire her and how she didn’t like the the way they did business (among other things). Lol I’m a salon hopper because I’m looking for a new salon? Okay. Then I’m a salon hopper. This has gone from annoying to amusing. I actually agreed to remove my review if she refunded me the money for the cut. I didn’t even ask for my $ 45 dollar tip back! Just the cost of the cut. She agreed to it and then changed her mind and started texting me at 10:00 at night.

Gina does amazing work, I have posted a couple pics of my hair both long and short! No one cuts layers like her. Gina has 25 years of experience. I just read a review from someone by the name of Danielle and felt compelled to defend my hairdresser of 20 years. I have been working in the beauty industry myself for 20 years and not everyone is satisfied but when people write negative reviews on several salon sites generally aren’t happy with themselves, it’s nothing a hairdresser can fix. Dino Palmieri and 8 senses have negative reviews from the same person. Anyone who is reading her reviews, take it for what it’s worth… ZERO!

I love this salon, I have been going for the past 4 month and I have never left there unhappy with my service.
I go to Gene for my cut, color, and highlights and he is very good, and very professional. when he is done my hair looks great. He does an amazing job. It was the most relaxing time I have had in months, and I am really looking forward to going back. Very nice salon.

I got a groupon for a 60 min massage. Never been to this place before and rarely do I treat myself to a massage (even though I think I need them regularly). It’s inside of the building with US Bank and if you’re not careful you will walk right past it like I did.
This establishment is pretty much loaded with everything you can think of. Many stations for pedicures, manicures, etc. However, it wasn’t very busy. I had my massage with Angelique who was fantastic. I have terrible stiffness and knots in my shoulders, neck, upper back and she really helped work those out. The rooms are comfortable, small, cozy.
The massage was absolutely amazing and I felt such relief when I left the salon. Even here as I wake up the next day, I still feel great and less tension in my usual spots. Hopefully it lasts throughout the rest of my work day! I will really have to think about going back and treating myself for another one eventually, but at $ 90 I’m not sure I can fork that up too many times.

For facial, I think this is the best place I’ve found so far between here and Akron. I’ve done the same kind of facial (microdermabrrassion) in other places, this place does the best. After micro-​derm. they also give a regular facial, some other places charge the same price don’t give this extra service, so I think it worth the money here! And of course, the service is very good and professional. I don’t think I will go anywhere else for facial.

Groupon buyers beware of small print on your coupon’s. They will charge you Ohio state tax on the actual full Salon price of whatever Salon services you have purchased.
In all of my other groupon purchases I have never had to pay this

Have had nothing but fabulous experiences here and go every 2 weeks for a shellac manicure. Lilya does an amazing job — I’ve tried a few other places and keep coming back here. I’ve never experienced rudeness or anything less than professional service that other reviewers mentioned.

My daughter, niece and I were given a mani/​pedi gift this last Saturday at Europa salon and spa. We had never been there before so we weren’t sure what to expect. We found it easily. It is located on the corner of Mercantile on Chagrin Blvd. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly manager. She took our coats, offered us beverages and gave us a nice tour of their new space. They had so many interesting areas for the various spa treatments. One of my favorites is the salt room. Great place to de-​stress. We were then escorted into the nail room where all three of us were treated to our mani’s and pedi’s. My nail technician was Alla and she was wonderful. She was über friendly and was awesome. I have very dry nails and hands which drive me mad all winter, and by the time she was done, my hands were as soft as a babies behind. I will be forever grateful! My daughter and niece were also given the royal treatment by their nail technicians. We left with gorgeous toes and nails. I love this salon. They were all so professional, yet warm and relaxing. A very well manicured thumbs up!
