Location is perfection if you like casul sitting on a beach and looking at the water. Great place to hang with family. Service is quite good. Food is decent. I wish they would get a tastier steak. Where does nearby Taby’s get it’s steaks? Get those ribeye steaks, they taste much better. I’m not suggesting anyone go eat at Taby’s, it’s a plain little diner. Other than needing a tastier steak, this place is perfection.

Can’t say anything about the food, because I did not get a chance to try it. My issue is that I scheduled an appointment to reserve a banquet room. The time and date I needed was available, and the banquet manager was to call me back. Well, after waiting a day or two, I called the banquet manager and made the appointment myself. When I arrived for the appointment, I was given a cordial welcome. After discussing the arrangements, selecting the menu, I was Told that he would check to see if the time and date was available. The manager returned a few moments later to tell me that my time and date was booked for another party just about a half hour earlier before my arrival. When I asked how it could happen since I have made inquiries about the time and date being available, and leaving my name and information for that time., the response was a failed attempt of getting me to book a different date and time. So, if you approach this restaurant to book for a large party, just be aware. Apparently the staff do not talk to each other, and you could get lost in the shuffle.

It’s a simple formula with this beachside restaurant: the food is very good, the atmosphere is outstanding, and the whole operation is well run. After decades of meals served and customers taken care of, this family still does it right and maintains a quality establishment. The food not only tastes great but it looks beautiful on the plate. The servers demonstrate how they care about their customers every time I see them. And the bar reminds me of a hot Fort Lauderdale spot in that the music is good the drinks are well mixed by fun bartenders and the crowd really comes out to meet and have a great time.

Personally I love this place. I’m a regular for the last 20 years. Come by boat during the summer and swim. It’s fantastic. You can actually sit on the beach at a table with your feet in the sand. Food and sushi are excellent and the view is to die for ! My fav spot on Long Island My experience with the food last Sunday was not good. Fried shrimp had zero flavor and that poor excuse of linguine with clams, WTH. What happened to my fav restaurant, I’m very disappointed. I hope the owners have some plans for the upcoming season.

This town bar and restaurant has amazing outdoor seating. I would totally recommend it for a brunch in the summer or a drink by the water as the sunsets. But in general, the bar crowd is trashy … and I probably wouldn’t sit and eat inside. Good food, good service, but again it is only great to come here on a bright sunny day! Fire cracker shrimp is dank. They also have great items like steamers. YUM. Servers are very nice!

Crisp but sunny autumn day. We are seated by the fireplace overlooking the Long Island sound. The view is spectacular. Our Sunday buffet brunch, while not high end, is very good.(Breakfast cocktail included.) A nice selection of well prepared hot and cold choices. Not inexpensive but fairly priced. We gaze at the water and eat. We are very content.

The location of this place is beautiful and when the weather is nice you can literally ask to be seated on the beach. The parking lot was packed. The food was tasty. We ordered the crab cakes and calamari and for my entrée I had the chicken quesadilla which sounds a little weird at a seafood place but it was recommended to me by a friend and it was actually pretty good. Their desserts were not great although we were warned ahead of time that only the crème brûlée was homemade… even that wasn’t very good… The one thing I will say is that our waiter was wonderful and the views make it worth stopping by. Probably a better spot for lunch than for dinner

We have been to this restaurant many times and primarily for the view. This restaurant is located on the North shore of Long Island on a sandy beach with a great view of the Long Island Sound. The view has a bit of a Mediterranean feel. We usually order appetizers and as salad when we dine here. Our favorites are the Fire Cracker Shrimp and the steamers. The restaurant is a bit pricey, the food is average, and the service is interesting at times when they are very busy. This restaurant is not all about the food, it is all about the wonderful view on any beautiful day.

I was here with a large group and they did a very good job serving us. The food was solid but nothing outstanding. The location is great — right on the beach. Parking looks to be horrible — we were in a bus so we did not have to worry.

This is a beautiful spot right on the beach, but it comes with its baggage. We arrived to be told there was a line to enter the street leading to the beach to valet park. I decided to look on side streets and found something but I have heard many stories of tickets given for the slightest overstep of regulations(tire on the grass or too close to a driveway). Anyway it worked out. At 7:30 on a Saturday the wait for an outdoor table was going to be 2 ½ hours. That is fine except we called at 6 and they said it was hard to guess what the wait would be, which is fine, but they never told us they had a wedding party. We elected to sit indoors which was expected to be 30 minutes. It turned out to be an hour. It was a beautiful night and cannot get much better than grabbing a few cocktails at the bar and hanging on the beach while the sun sets. It is clear the staff tries really hard but there is a sense of chaos that does not inspire confidence especially when waiting to be seated. The meal was average to good. We started with the oysters, clams oreganato and the tuna sandwich roll all of which were A+. For entrees we had the scallops, the tuna and the crab cake. The scallops were just ok and the tuna was over cooked. The crab cakes(appetizer) delivered. The best part of the meal was our server Yianni who despite the chaos seem to have everything under control. We ordered a round of drinks and they came in what seem less than a minute. They do need to coach staff to be more personal however, I had to get Yianni’s name off the check as he never introduced himself… still he did a great job

Kudos to Wall’s Wharf! Thanks for making my birthday a memorable one. A perfect night, fantastic menu and tasty drinks. Service was spectacular and my pink snapper was cooked perfectly and delicious. My 17 guests left full and happy. Thanks so much! I will be back.

Despite a disappointing start(no steamers or swordfish), the tuna was perfectly grilled and the cocktails were great. The setting is just gorgeous! You’re as close to the water as you can get! True beach front dining!

Unfortunately the only two times I’ve been here the weather didn’t allow me to eat outside but that didn’t make the view or the food any less awesome. I went there for Father’s Day and was craving sushi which I think they just added to the menu. I usually don’t order sushi from non sushi places but since I know they have a good track record I decided to give it a go. I stayed simple with a spicy tuna roll and salmon sushi and boy did they nail it. Seriously it was so delicious and fresh I couldn’t believe it. I also started with a garden salad that was crazy good for what seemed like it’d be so plain. The staff was super nice and didn’t mind that my parents and I went outside once or twice to get a picture on the beach. Really overall a great place and I can’t wait to be back to eat outside.

Always go here for brunch. They have a brunch Buffett with a generous offering of seafood which is always delish. Just make sure you save room for the desserts which are super fresh. This is a great place to go in general if you want to enjoy a nice meal literally RIGHT on the beach! Yes it is more expensive then places inland but if you come here during sunset you will more than get your monies worth.

Best place to watch the sun set on the north shore of long island. Sit on the patio on the beach, enjoy a drink & seafood with great service. Having come here for years I have to say some dishes are consistently good. Stick with what you love. I had the mussels marinara again. Never fails to satisfy! Go early for a good outdoor seat & take your time!

For the most part on LI, other than fine dining, restaurants with good views equal restaurants with overpriced, poor food. Luckily, this isn’t exactly the case at Wall’s Wharf. Sure, when you’re eating outside, you’re still eating on cheap patio furniture, but this can be overlooked when the food is good. Maybe I’m jaded from all the crappy food on FI, I dunno. Anyway, we rocked a bunch of items including a watermelon beet salad and fresh burrata, both adequate and on the specials menu. The $ 19 lobster roll was good, but had lots of filler(celery and such). Reuben($ 13) was above average. It was super hot out there so we didn’t stay too long, but our server was nice and on top of things throughout our stay. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the food and will def come back around sunset for cocktails! Protip: The biggest rip off being the ENTIRE sushi menu(why are you getting sushi here anyway, people?!) and the addition of meat to a salad will cost you $ 8 – 15

— No wait for a table outside on the beach on Memorial Day. Score. — Ordered citrus salmon salad, 2 Angus burgers, chicken wings, and salmon entrée(not all for me, mind you!!!). Food was decent. Obviously, it’s not what you come here for. My salad had two slivers of salmon in it and the rest was greens and gorgonzola cheese. So I didn’t get enough protein as I was hoping for. — Our waitress Tony was helpful but she seemed annoyed that we didn’t order drinks and that we were taking our time with the menu. — They were out of their grilled chicken and bronzini entrees. Boo. — Atmosphere is the main reason I’d return. Inside is lively and fun, and outside you have a beautiful view. Super romantic ambiance but it’s also great for friend and family outings.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a friend and didn’t leave until bed time. The staff as well as the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. But nothing compares to the beautiful view of the Long Island Sound. The cocktails were perfect, food was fresh and delicious, and it was a perfect location. We shared the nacho platter which was tremendous and the mussels which were seasoned exactly how I like! We finished off with the crunchy crème brûlée I recommend this place for groups, loaners, families… Whoever you are I guarantee you’ll feel welcomed!

I went here for dinner in the summer and the view was spectacular! I remember ordering salmon with rice and baked clams. The food was pretty great but the atmosphere was even better. The view is definitely worth 5 stars! Although, there was a struggle to find parking. I will definitely visit again :)

There are prices to pay for most decisions we make, not bitching about them separates us from savages. Wall’s(just Wall’s to locals) has been in this Long Island Sound beachfront space for 70+ years. Yes, parking sucks: it’s Bayville! Pull up your socks and valet or walk a little, the view alone is worth it. Absolutely sit outside on patio if at all possible/weather permitting. The Reinhardt family still runs the now sprawled-onto-a patio –and-the-beach spot. The views are outstanding, food and drinks are quite good and it has a feel of yesteryear. They have branched out into events/catering; Mother Nature’s majesty is the perfect setting for special occasions. Their daily Happy Hour(5PM-8PM) is a great opportunity to grab a drink and some delicious food while taking in the sunset. Menu has something for everyone, but my go-to=local steamers or any seafood(usually local) special. A nice getaway in a really cool place, very Bayville. Popular weekend lunch/brunch destination.
