Cozy spot in bayville, great omelets and everything else, better than a big diner, cash only !

Had breakfast with my brother there for the first time today. He’s been there before and said it was my kind of place. Loved it!!! Great food(best pancakes EVER!!!), great service and the place reminds me of any number of homey Luncheonettes from my youth. Can’t wait to go back.

The meal came with no water, the pancake with no butter, the toast with no jelly & the coffee w no refill. But the service came with a scowl, the most miserable lot of staff I’ve ever seen. Actually witnessed the head pout-ress turn away a paying customer bc he wanted to dine outside, but they were«too busy». The eggs and pancake were fluffy and satisfying. I visited this restaurant based on previous Unilocal reviews, I hope u do too!

Very lousy place all around. To start, the service was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Our waitress had a very poor attitude, for example, when I asked her about the whole wheat pancakes she told me in an angry voice that«You either like them or you dont!». When asked about the banana pancakes she exclaimed«Were all outta bananas!» Additionally we were not served waters until I asked for them, and when asked for hot sauce she brought us out a second ketchup instead. The food was very bland and most of my bacon was overcooked. When we were finished with our food we waited for a while with dirty dishes on our table and had to beg for the check. I highly do not recommend this place, all of their food can be made at your house and would be twice the quality.

We made Brigitte’s our lunch stop on a ride out to Bayville on the weekend and it proved to be well worth the trip. So much so that my cycling friends and I agreed that we should make the restaurant a destination for more rides. The food was good and the service was super friendly. We received our lunch/breakfasts relatively quickly for a group of nine

This is a great little diner if your looking for a quick, affordable bite to eat in the nice town of Bayville, NY. Brigitte’s luncheonette is conveniently located where Shore road ends(which is a 2 mile drive along the bay) to meet Bayville avenue. This is really the only diner in town and would typically lend hand to lower quality food through a lack of local competition offering little challenge; However that is not the case and this place consistently provides good eggs and sandwiches every visit. The food and décor are nothing spectacular, but it will certainly do if you would prefer not to spend time at home preparing breakfast or making lunch. Overall I like this place for what it is; A simple affordable and consistent eatery. Perhaps I’d give them more of my business if they could come up with a few new sandwiches and mix things up a bit.

Forget the tourist traps in town by the water! Unpretentious, down-home ambiance GREATFOOD! Anyway you like your food cooked, that’s what you’ll get! Always fresh, that’s why sometimes they may(which is rare) be out of something! Clean, because Brigitte runs the business and demands excellence! She catered a surprise birthday party for my daughter and EVERYONE was impressed!!! Her chef prepared quesadias with fresh salsa, pigz n’ the blanket, huge chicken breast tenders, sliders, gyoza dumplings, lobster & shrimp linguine in a lemon butter caper sauce, fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, salad w/Gorgonzola(homemade dressing of course) on the side, fruit salad, ice cream cake!!! Everyone is still raving about the food and attention to EVERYDETAIL! So like I said, don’t get sucked into the ostentatious places in Bayville and the surrounding areas!!! RUN don’t walk to Brigittes Luncheonette! YOUWOUN’T REGRETIT!!!

We knew there was a good breakfast restaurant at the principal entrance to Bayville, where the road from the hamlet of Oyster Bay meets the shoreline community of Bayville. Today, we enjoyed breakfast there: cinnamon raisen French toast, with a few strawberry slices on top. The other person had the two-egg, home fries, and sausage links that is standard to Long Island diners. However, the décor and atmosphere says«country» rather than roadside diner. I must compliment the owner and staff. —– We came circled through the streets of the hamlet of Oyster Bay and could find no breakfast nook except McDonald’s. Therefore, we continued the four miles north to Bayville.(I call Oyster Bay a hamlet to distinguish it from the Town of Oyster Bay, which runs all the way from the Atlantic Ocean to the Long Island Sound. There is no incorporated village of Oyster Bay.)
