I have been coming to this bookstore for about 3 years now. The bookstores upkeep is great. The building is always clean, everything is organized and neat. The little lounge area in the corner is nice. The décor is modern. the staff is very friendly and since there are a few of them, please try to be patient. The obvious complaint is the prices of the books. They are too high. And QCC publishes book under the schools name just so they can charge more. Especially with the plastic wrapped books, you can never rent any of those out, you have to buy them«New», which is much more money. And when you sell your books back, you dont even get half the price you paid for it. Such a shame. On rare occasions they would have some supplies discounted. VERYRARELY. They have most of the supplies every college student needs for school, but if your trying to save a buck, I would advise you to go to Office Max or Staples.

What’s up with returning a perfectly good textbook and only getting not even half the money back. Not cool. The store is also thinks they sell Macys grade sweaters and what have yous. We are college students not millionaires. Overall some of the staff are just weird and rude, I can care less if you hate your job. I’m at school. enough said I’m miserable enough. Give me a fake smile as I pay for my $ 170 textbook at least. The hoodies are cute but pricey, it says queens borough not juicy couture.

Queensborough College; you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am a psychotherapist who was working with a patient who was interested in attending your school. We called your offices, and got put on hold without ever speaking to anyone. All we wanted was a simple answer as to the deadline for applications. Neither your website nor your phone line provided any help whatsoever. How dare you claim to support the community yet you make it impossible to find simple answers as to the application process. This man will probably not go to college because of your incompetence in providing basic information to prospective students. You are a disgusting and mismanaged organization that has no right serving in the public sector.

It’s your average community college bookstore. A bit on the expensive side. This place does have magazines, book bags, gym clothing, sweatgear, sketchbooks, calculators, cliff notes, candy, soda, etc. Was very surprised when I saw the tattoo magazine«Inked» for sale there, so they get bonus points. There’s a sweet woman who works at the cash register. Trying to sell back your textbooks is a bitch, but that’s due to long lines. Didn’t have a problem myself though.
