I really, really want this place to be good since it is so close to my house. We keep going back and each time, without fail, the service is just sub standard. We wait at the table, they serve one entre at a time and the others at the table just wait. The food is decent but when the experience overall is just average or below average there are so many other restaurants I’d rather bring my business. This last time the basil had black spots and the beef ball was not terribly appealing. I’ll likely try again but… so far of the 5 or 6 times we’ve been there… we get consistently poor service. There are so many good restaurants in town, why go to one in which the experience is just standard.

I would have to agree with everyone that the food is pretty good, but the service wasn’t the best. The ambience was pretty basic, but the bathroom was filthy. Our table ordered a coffee and bubble tea, which were both decent at best, because a lot of the bubbles were undercooked. Also the drinks were served with our food not before. For food, I ordered #40 which was pretty good and I really enjoyed the sauce. Something’s to keep in mind is that we tried to order the springs rolls w/shrimp, but they didn’t have shrimp at the moment. Like I mentioned above, the food was pretty good, but I will have to consider coming back because of the disorganization of the staff.

It’s all about the broth! I would love to give PHT a five star, but my order for take-out has been messed up too many times. The spring rolls are excellent, but they run out frequently. The noodles and broth are perfect. The seating space is a little odd. Too many TV’s and odd table placement. But the food… pretty great!

I know I like this place way too much… I ordered a bubble tea here and the bubbles were horrible! not chewy at all and just plaun hard. the smoothie itself was good though. so was just going to drink the smoothie and let the bubbles go but decided to just let them know that the bubbles needed more work. the lady at the counter who I think is the owner, was very apologetic and went back and made me another one. and thanked me for letting them know for their future customers as well. the one she made hit the nail on the spot. just as a boba should be!

If you choose take-out always check your order before leaving. They’ve forgotten items on multiple occasions. Don’t expect top notch service– sorry you northshore Nancys and Mequon moms that expect pristine service while you talk about nonsense… Do you not appreciate what you’re eating? Enough said, if you come here you’re in for a flavor fest. There’s so much to choose. My advice, soak in the menu, order spring rolls and a glass of wine while you decide, and prepare yourself for a knockout. This place requires patience(including the obscure TV in the dining room), but certainly has earned a place in tasty-ness. Go phở!

Phở Sho’. This place is fantastic. Really great phở — the broth is suuuuper tasty but leaves room for you to edit it as you please with sprouts and sauces and the like. Bubble tea is tasty and customizable — I think they made me half-lychee/half-strawberry, and it was the best combo anyone could imagine. Service is OK, and the only reason I docked a star. Oh, and the Banh mi. Whaaaaaat? You won’t find another close to it. SO. GOOD. That is all. :)

I’ve been back here a few times now, and definitely am going to add it to my regular lunch rotation. While I definitely enjoyed the phở last time, I ventured out of my comfort zone for this most recent trip. I got a bowl that had vermicelli on the bottom, some lettuce, veggies, grilled shrimp, barbeque pork and a vinegar sauce on the side. It was absolutely awesome. It was a ton, but it was still under $ 10. This time I bypassed the bubble tea. Service was quick, and food was good. Definitely recommend!

KNOWNFOR — Phở(9⁄10) I ALSOTRIED — Fresh Spring Rolls(7⁄10) This is my 3rd week(not consecutive) in Brown Deer, WI. Being a Unilocal fiend, I’ve been Unilocaling the proverbial sh** out of Brown Deer, and I’ve been coming up seriously empty handed! Well, on my way here this week, while rapping to Nelly in my car, I accidentally got off of Brown Deer East instead of West from I-43. As I was scanning for U-Turn opportunities, I saw«PHO something something.» I was like whoa! Phở in Brown Deer?! Well, when I finally got to Unilocaling, I searched for«Vietnamese» in Unilocal in Brown Deer and it found squat. Weird… well, I knew what I saw, so I headed there the next day for dinner, and I saw all sorts of food choices I didn’t know about! I mobile Unilocaled and found that I was now in Bayside, and apparently, Bayside has some actual choices! After doing a little tour, I decided, I had my heart set on Phở since the beginning, so I’ll check it out… Oh one other thing, the sign says«Phở Hai Tuyet II.» Don’t know if that’s recent or why Unilocal doesn’t say it, but oh well. SPRINGROLLS I knew I wanted spring rolls, but I only wanted one(I was dining alone). Usually, I’m forced to buy 2, but here, they don’t come in anything fewer than 3(for $ 7.50). Oh well, business trip, not my money :) Each one is pretty substantial. There’re 4 pieces of jumbo shrimp in each spring roll. My main gripe is that the rice paper to wrap the roll is a thicker than I’d like. I like thin wrap, so you don’t taste so much rice(and get full on it), and so that the flavors of the spring roll«guts» come out. Regardless, the taste was pretty good, you can actually taste the shrimp… a lot, and that was sort of good and bad. I like that, but at the same time, the reason was because the other«greens» of the spring roll weren’t fresh enough. They were fresh, but just just didn’t have the super crunch and zesty flavors I was hoping for. It pretty much relied on the shrimp and the sauce… And that sauce is what shot this score up so high. It was the most peanut buttery taste I’ve ever tasted in a Spring Roll sauce. It was so perfectly sweet, with just a small touch of salty, and made the whole spring roll taste delicious! Of course, a better roll would’ve been even better, but this was pretty spectacular! PHODACBIET I got the special, as usual. He asks me afterwards, «You want lodge o smore?»(large or small). When he said«large» he made this drawing of a bowl in the air, and it was really exaggerated… or so I thought. When this bowl came out, I was stunned! This is one of the biggest phos I’ve ever seen for 1 person. It’s even bigger than Tank Phở in Chicago, I think! I normally eat and drink everything inside the bowl, but this time, I had to leave a lot of soup. Too full! The act of bending forward a little to slurp the soup over the bowl was LITERALLY gut wrenching! The broth was incredible! It was missing almost any kind of sweetness(like Tank Phở), but it more than made up for it with its deep broth flavor. If I had to classify it in a word, I’d say«brute.» I put the whole dish of sprouts in it, and 2 limes, and honestly, the taste didn’t change! It was stubborn! The nice thing about a bowl this big is that there’s so much soup, the cold sprouts, lime, and pint of cold Sriracha sauce doesn’t cool it down. I love it! It makes the spice that much spicier too! Now, they give you a swimming pool of broth, but about a standard amount of noodles and meat. You could probably put a triple portion of noodles & meat to even out the balance, but hey, I LOVE soup, so this was fine with me. It stayed pretty hot throughout too, again because they gave you so much. This came with tripe, fatty flank, rare flank, and MEATBALLS! All were pretty tasty. The only thing I wish they gave more of was cilantro. I’m sure I could’ve asked for more, but I was too hungry to ask! PHOREALZ! This is some serious phở! And I’m really surprised to find it in here in Bayside. Seems like it’s the only Vietnamese restaurant for miles, but they bring it! As far as near where I live, this place and To Phở would probably be a good matchup! Great job Phở Hai Tuyet… whatever that means!

This was my first experience at Phở Hai Tuyet, and it did not disappoint! I had #41(charbroiled pork with vermicelli and vegetables). It was absolutely delicious — the grilled flavor, along with whatever seasoning they use on the pork was just perfect with the delicate rice vermicelli, bean sprouts, green onion and cabbage. Food was fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent from start to finish. I was meeting a friend and arrived early, and the gentleman waiting tables(older, with a mustache and glasses), seated me right away and said to let him know if I had any questions. He was very attentive throughout, as was the other server working, who delivered our food and refilled our water. I’m excited to return to try the phở and the banh mi — someone at the next table over ordered the banh mi and it was HUGE — like the size of a 12 inch sub! It looked really good!

So far Phở Hai Tuyet has the best phở that I’ve had in the city, and I’ve had phở at 7 or 8 places, at least. Why Phở Hai Tuyet? It’s the only place where I didn’t want to add anything to the broth. I thought it was perfect for my taste buds as is. I rarely venture from phở when I visit Vietnamese restaurants, but I’d heard that the Banh Mi here was the best. So I stopped in the Bayside location and ordered one for lunch. When it arrived at my table, I was stunned at the size of the sandwich. It was much larger than I was expecting. It was filled with braised and marinated pork, shredded carrots, onions, jalapeño slices, cilantro and a large spear of cucumber that was almost the length of the bread roll. To top it off, mayo is spread on the bread. The bread was very crisp on the outside, yet soft on the inside, and served warm! It was the perfect density as to allow the filling to be more pronounced. I would compare it to a french baguette and say it was closer to a loaf of bread than a sandwich roll. I didn’t have my tape measure with me that day, but I would guess the sandwich was around 12 – 13 inches long. At just under $ 10, I would certainly say it was worth every penny. I’ll have to make it a point to skip the phở and Banh Mi in the future just so I can explore the rest of the menu. I’m sure I’m missing out on other Southeast Asian goodies.

This is our neighborhood Vietnamese, and we are always happy with the food. The phở is just perfect. After reading the other reviews I am dying to try the banh mi. The service has always been adequate, but I grant that I have low expectations. It’s not fine dining, but it’s fantastic food.

I have to say after living in China Town Boston for the past 4 years, this is far above any Phở you would find there. I ordered the #18, which is beef Phở. This dish is amazing. You have to definitely add some spice to it, but they give you a tray of spices and you get to add to your desire. This dish comes in two sizes small or large. The small is plenty big, unless you want left over’s, its not worth the large. Plus no matter what type of Phở you order, make sure you save room for the Banh Mi Sandwich. The Banh Mi is a Pork sandwich which is close to the best sandwich you can find around. From the fresh roll to the tasty pork, you’ll be happy you tried this. I always get one to share between 2 or 3 of us, just to get a taste. Let them know and they will cut it for you to share. This is one restaurant you don’t want to miss. Most people don’t know the correct pronunciation of the word Phở. They say«Phở» when really it is pronounced«pha». Either way«Pha“get about how you say it and make sure to stop in and try this place.

This is sort of a redo of my Phở Hai Tuyet 2 review. Please check that out since this place used to be 2 but now is the original since the original moved. This is the best phở I have ever had and the best Banh Mi sandwich. I go here about 2 times a week with colleagues and never disappointing. The staff is on their game with the service being quick. Great flavors and glad this placed opened up near my work!

First of all, the spring rolls are authentic, and excellent. After ordering them at a meal this summer, I have been back no less than 10 times to get them to go(5 min) just because I have a taste for them. The Phở is excellent with a vast selection for anyone’s palate. Enjoyed many other dishes such as the Korean ribs.

I have been to Phở Hai Tuyet twice now on trips to Milwaukee and love it! Basic, quick and tasty Vietnamese. We walked in with 8 people on Friday night and did not have to wait long despite the restaurant being bustling with people. We started with a few orders of the shrimp spring rolls, very tasty and fresh. We also all downed Tsingtao beers(this is not your place if you’re looking for frilly drinks or a beer/wine menu). Heads up that the place is quite loud and echoey. I had the Tofu Rice Vermicelli Salad which came out less than 5 minutes after ordering! Many of my co-diners ordered variations of phở and soup(one with various intestines and other animal organs) and all liked what they got. There are many servers and people who are there to serve whatever need you may have. I would recommend Phở Hai Tuyet .Like I mentioned, nothing fancy and relatively basic venue and vietnamese food but that is really all you need. You can’t beat a dinner(that you can take home for tomorrow’s lunch), apps, and a drink for under $ 15 a person.

I may have found the best Banh Mi in MKE! Granted, the options for Banh Mi in MKE are limited but this place could give any Banh Mi a run for it’s money IMO. A few caveats-it is 8 bucks(bummer) but it is a HUGE sammy – easily twice the size of the one at Pacific Produce. You could definitely get more than one meal out of it(or share it) if you were so inclined. The fact that it is so big sorta makes the hefty price kinda a moot strike against it IMO. The flavor was delicious(watch out for the peppers though-VERY spicy). We also tried a vermicelli noodle bowl(quite good!), spring rolls(YUM) – the peanut dipping sauce was especially good – and a fried rice for our little one that was a tad on the greasy side but had great flavor(who goes to a Vietnamese restaurant and orders fried rice anyway? fail on our part.) Didn’t try the Phở yet because we got our food to go but plan on going back real soon to get some of that goodness in me. The service was very fast. As a warning – there is a bit of a language barrier. In my opinion this is one of the reasons why I love this place: It’s the real deal. If that is something that would frustrate you though just thought I should mention. Can’t wait to go back soon!

I LOVEPHO. I have been to 7ish Vietnamese restaurants in my life and always need to try the Phở. Phở Hai Tuyet has the BEST Phở I have ever had AND you don’t have to wait 45 minutes for it like you have to at Phan’s Garden. Last week I decided to throw myself a curve ball and try something different and went with the Bohn Mi pork sandwich(Picture is posted with no description). OMG it was the best/worst decision of my life. Now when I go back I am going to be torn between the sandwich and the Phở. Service was maybe 2 stars… I can never figure out if they purposely don’t bring you your bill or if they just expect you to go to the counter to pay. Either way good food beats bad service.

Oh My Goodness. YUM! So, I am coming off a sub par experience at Hue with Phở and this place just got me back to neutral. Seriously, love their Phở– it is head and shoulders above Hue’s in terms of flavor, balance, and the amount of Veggies! The husband and I are thrilled that it is in our neck of the woods as well since there are VERY Slim pickin’s around the North Shore for decent restaurants(And No, Cheesecake Factory doesn’t count). SERVICE: So, I glad I read the previous reviews because I was not expecting anything great when it came to service. That expectation was met. The service is really slow, sometimes painfully slow but the food is so good that I didn’t care. I am one of those people that is not shy about flagging down the server for something but if you are the shy type, expect to wait a LONG time for anything here. FOOD: get the fresh spring rolls as a starter. They were awesome! Like put it in a pipe and smoke it awesome. Three HUGE shrimp spring rolls served with a delicious peanut sauce. jump on this, you guys, seriously. I got the Veggie and Tofu Phở and while I was not crazy about the tofu(not seared and just served right from package) I LOVED the Phở as a whole and will be back specifically for this Phở. Chalked full of veggies with a delicious broth that warms the soul. The Mister got a flank steak noodle dish that he loved as well. ATMOSPHERE: Very laid back. I liked the vibe in here a lot because I didn’t feel like they were trying to be something they were not. There was a cute 8 year old kid that greeted us and filled up our waters– we didn’t see our waitress after we ordered so we appreciated his help! the place was busy– there were only 2 servers waiting all tables and doing«to-go» orders. They have only been open s month so I think they are still figuring things out :) PRICE: 2 entrees, one order of spring rolls and hot tea= $ 27 w/tip! Great deal! We will be back very soon!
