Great desserts, this is my go to spot. However, when i was there the waitresses seemed more concerned with each other than the customer. I waited 5 minutes for one of them to finally come to get the bill. Other than that experience, it’s a great spot

Martha’s is a very convenient place to get your fix for baked desserts. They have some items that are definitely better than others, such as their Banana Pudding and Berry Napoleon. Otherwise I find the desserts adequate, definitely not something to RAVE about. The thing that really turns me off about this place are their prices. They charge an arm and a leg for some of the most simple baked goods and drinks. A chocolate cake the smaller than the palm of my hand(this is not an exaggeration) served with 1 scoop of ice cream costs $ 7.25 which blows my mind. I definitely don’t think the price is an accurate reflection of the taste. The ambiance has that cozy café feel which I enjoy but it is often crowded so best time to try is off peak hours. Bottom line, even though I am not a huge fan I do find myself coming back here due to its location and lack of other places to pick up fresh baked goods.

Selection of baked goods is diverse and plenty… layout and ambience are suitable to the name and overall the bakery is a good place to go for a nice chat with friends. I usually have a decent time there. However during my last visit I had a horrible server who really ruined my time there. Not only was she incompetent in the basics of her job, she also exceeded in being lazy, rude, and apathetic. Keep in mind there was only one other group of customers besides myself and my friend. I understand that Martha’s can get very busy and hectic at times but this was not such a time. It took forever for the server to take our order because she was so occupied with chatting away with her coworkers and once she did take her order she pretty much disappeared. After waiting for 20 minutes to ask for the bill I finally stood up and approached another employee to politely ask for the check. The one time I did see our server she all but ignored me when I tried to get her attention. Honestly, I don’t ask for much in terms of customer service but not doing your job at all… there’s just no excuse. Martha’s…please train your staff better!

I came here late night with my boyfriend for some cakes. We got sitted very fast. However, it was so tight that i had to request another table with more space. My waitress was Nicole and was the only one who recognized us. The other waitresses ignored us. Kudos to Nicole. The other waitresses acted like they couldnt care less.

Martha’s never fails to satisfy my crazy sweet tooth. The atmosphere is very nice, you can choose to sit in or get on line and order to-go. Service is great all around. I always order the chocolate layer cake and it’s consistent every time! I’ve tried the peanut butter cheesecake as well and it’s super yummy. That being said, while Martha’s offers good desserts it’s nothing crazy or new that makes it memorable. I’d go for dessert with friends on a Friday night. Tip: write a review before redeeming your 10% off coupon, both a review and check-in are required for redemption.

I’m at work craving the chocolate chip banana bread pudding. It’s pretty much all I could think about. I also tried their Nutella shake which was thicker in consistency than IDE like but yummy nonetheless. I think their tres leche cake needs some work, it wasn’t moist enough and the orange flavor is a little off-putting. But that bread pudding tho

Their pastries and desserts are so delicious and heavenly. It can get crowded if you are sitting in, and sometimes, you may need to wait for seating. However, it is a great place to order a birthday cake from. Very yummy. Only downside is that you can’t order from their bakery too often because their cakes and desserts are a bit on the costly side.

Yeah, we throw down for parking spots a few blocks away because this place is worth it. This place is ALWAYS packed, but that’s not a bad thing. You get time waiting in line just blissfully imagining what it’d be like if you could gobble down, in one sitting, one of every item they offer. A little diabeetus never hurt anyone, right? Berry fruit tart with fresh berries? Napoleon? Triple chocolate mousse cake? Um, yas to all of the above. It’s too bad us three gals made the responsible decision to share these :]

Update: 1÷14÷16 I had the opportunity to revisit this location on Thursday and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The hostess, different than last, was extremely polite and welcoming. We requested a table for four and stated that there was a 15 minute wait and lead us to the waiting area. As we were exploring the menu, we decided to cancel the reservation and ordered take out instead. The person behind the counter was very professional. The cakes were fresh and moist. I wish that every service could be like this! The hostess during my visit had a disgusting attitude. She told us she couldn’t move tables to seat a table for 6. Then when I wanted to order items to go she gave me an attitude. While on line, she asked me to move, and insisted that I move when I didn’t want to move. If you are in a customer service job, learn some manners.

This is one of my favorite bakeries with many delicious items such as the berry Napoleon and the red velvet cake. Their desserts are on the sweet side but their quality is on point. Everytime I dig my fork into the berry Napoleon, I always scoop up fresh fruit with every bite. I would like to try a wider variety of items when I go but the berry Napoleon is too hard to resist.

This place is good if you’re a local and don’t feel like traveling to the city for better dessert. They’re okay, I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always either a hit or a miss. The tiramisu is probably the best cake I’ve had here. The Oreo cheesecake is pretty good too but it’s really heavy so if you’re not a cheesecake lover, I wouldn’t recommend it. The Mississippi mud pie is always received very well. Not the biggest fan of their cupcakes either. Their lattes and coffee are mediocre at best. Stay away from their white chocolate one though, it’s literally like drinking a cup of pure sugar…

Martha’s definitely fits the name. The style of the bakery is very country, dark wood floors and tables and chairs to match. Cute and colorful chalkboards featuring the menus. There is a plethora of baked goods, teas, coffees and other café items. What I appreciate most about visiting here is that they are OPENUNTILMIDNIGHT! This is late night date night central. A very cute place to catch up with a girlfriend or share a slice of pie with your honey. After studying the large menu, I feasted my eyes on the Berry Napoleon. Filled with cream, fresh ripened and sweet blueberries, raspberries and strawberries and my favorite part, the flaky crust!!! I love napoleon cake and this pastry gave it the perfect light airy, yet creamy fruit — filled pleasure. I’m coming back for this item!!! All items are LARGE servings you can easily share. I love that they aren’t cheap here with serving sizes for the money. I paired my Napoleon with Mint Mèlange organic tea. Very aromatic, it filled the room with mint. At one point, I thought my date was chewing gum then, I remembered I had a large cup of tea in front of me. My date ordered the Oreo Cheesecake. He finished it in less than a minute. It was that good. Martha’s gets the job done for a late night local Bakery and Café.

The cake here is delicious especially their pumpkin cheese cake. It is a bit sweeter to my liking but it’s manageable. The pumpkin cheesecake is seasonal so you should definitely get it in season if you’re a pumpkin fan. I also ordered the strawberry shortcake and that was awesome too. The shortcake was so nice and fluffy and it wasn’t too sweet. I definately reccomend this place if you like cakes and desserts. There’s so much variety that I’m going to have come back multiple times to try everything.

FINALLLLLLLLY made it to Martha’s. FINALLY. Lots of hype, long lines, always packed and I now understand why. Look, was the cheesecake the best I ever had? No. It was certainly good but you can’t go wrong with any order at Martha’s, whether you’re eating there or taking it to-go. The selection is enormous! Cookies, cupcakes, pies, cakes, scones, macaroons, milkshakes, brownies, OHMY! To get a true experience I suggest sampling a little bit of everything. Seriously, I need to go back. Their desserts are on steroids and MANOHMAN do they deliver quite the satisfaction to your tastebuds. The prices are great too, but it’s hard to put a price tag on sweets made with love.

I must say, I was quite overwhelmed when I first entered Martha’s. They have an extensive amount of dessert varieties that you can definitely tell are fresh. My girlfriend always raves about their treats and since we were in the area attending an event, we stopped in before the ride home to bring back some goodies. My girlfriend told me that I should definitely try the Berry Napoleon and I ordered a nice big piece. It was so good! The fruits were fresh and in tact, the cream was not too sweet and the pastry was crisp and not soggy at all. I also snagged a couple of their HUGE truffles. I went for the Hazelnut flavor. I also got hubby his fave, Raisin Rice Pudding and a slice of Salted Caramel Chocolate Walnut Cheesecake. Everything was so good and they’re deserving of a definite return visit. Dessert heaven!

Came here for dessert after dinner at Press 195 which is a few footsteps away! The décor at Martha’s is definitely very eye-catching! The cakes/desserts are beautifully displayed and are definitely drool-inducing! The smell of the baked desserts is absolutely captivating! The place is really clean with cute small tables and service was pretty good as well. Very berry napoleon– I was not a fan of napoleons until I tried the one here! So delicious! The napoleon layers were very flaky and were held together by a delicious custard cream! The berries were also really sweet and not sour at all. This is, without doubt, the best napoleon I’ve ever had! Red velvet cake– Very delicious! The cake was very moist and the cream layers were tasty as well. Cookie with ice cream– The cookie was so crunchy and wasn’t overly sweet! It was paired perfectly with a delicious and refreshing scoop of ice cream on top! I’ve been wanting to try out this place for quite a while now and am so glad I got to today! The desserts that we got were all very tasty, not overly sweet, and not excessively pricey. Our group of 6 each got 1 dessert and we paid like $ 10 each. Very attractive place with great desserts!

After dinner, me and my friend were craving for something sweet. She picked Martha’s as it was her first time and I popped her cherry hehe. It was so packed in there and we were asked to wait outside. My friend was cold so I gave her my cardigan to warm her up then the hostess came out and directed us towards the back of the bakery as their waiting area has cleared up. When we finally got a table and of course its the smallest table and at the aisle where people are walking pass us and clueless where the take-out line is and too many bootays facing us which is not a pretty picture to be eating our desserts and drinking our drinks yo. Hot Drinks: Nutella Hot Chocolate(my friend) and Red Velvet Hot Chocolate(mine)…I am not suppose to have anything with caffeine but when I saw this baby on the Drinks Menu… I had to order it and definitely a good choice«mama superbly omgosh orgasmic like» and the perfect touch of whipped cream mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Desserts: Cannoli(my friend) and I had to get the delicious Flan with Caramel Sauce staring back at me… hubba hubba mmmmmmmmm I love Flans to the max and took the rest in a doggy bag because my tummy was quite stuffed hehe The waiting time to getting our table to ordering then getting the drinks and dessert was pretty fast and we probably really didn’t keep our seats warm. Definitely a lovely hang out spot yo!

Fourth of July 2015 and this bakery is open but unlike their newest Forest Hills location, this Bayside location table customer service is notoriously SLOW. Slow to serve, slow to receive orders, and lastly slow to receive the bill which are very discouraging. One waiter with an electronic order taking to serve all the tables. My party of two we ordered: 1 Tiramisu cupcake $ 3.25 1 Éclair $ 4.75 1 Almond Croissant $ 3.75 2 Cappuccino with signature leaf $ 10.00 1 Green Ice Tea $ 3.75 Initially I requested one Cannoli but it was all out of stock, ergo I substituted with one éclair. The Tiramisu cupcake was significantly more enticing and filling than the éclair! Seating is very limited. Con: Martha’s Country Bakery is very conveniently located within mere feet from Bayside LIRR station.
