Premier Parking USA Port Liberty

Parked here for RCCL Anthem cruise leaving on Jan 25, 2016. Cruise was delayed a day because of snow storm but parking lot was cleared and we caught a shuttle immediately to the port around 11:30am. Traffic at the port was very slow so the 1.5 miles took over 30 mins to reach the terminal. So getting there was as expected. The problem came on the return on Feb 6, a 35 degree day. People had been waiting since before 7am. Several calls were made to get a status but the company representative, answering in Chicago, was unable to reach anyone at the Bayonne lot. By the time we left at 9am there were as many as 40 people waiting for the shuttle that never came. We finally got a «taxi» bus to take a group to the parking lot for $ 5/​each. There were no workers at the parking lot. Very disappointing and the company has not returned any inquiries regarding a refund. NOT RECOMMENDED

Bootleg, ghetto-​azz operation. No signs, no marked parking spaces, crackhead telling you where to park. Took us 20 mins to find the place and even then I didn’t feel safe leaving my vehicle. Line so long for shuttle that we sent for Über. NEVER AGAIN! !!!

No signage to find this place, no customer service. This is the worst experience ever. I have encountered rude representatives on the live chat, on the telephone and in person. I am horribly disappointed and may miss my cruise if they don’t get me to the ship soon. I’ve spent more time looking for the place than it took to drive 97 miles here.

DO NOT PARK HERE! They are awful. They promise 2 vans for pick up and we have been waiting a half an hour. Dishonest.

This was the absolute WORST experience ever. First, we had trouble finding the place. No clear signage anywhere. We waited almost an hour for a shuttle to get us to the port which was only 1.5 miles away. It would have taken less time to walk there. On the way back from the port we waited over two hours in the blazing hot sun for a shuttle to take us back. Next time I will gladly pay more to park at the port. NEVER, EVER AGAIN!

Not a bad deal to park the SUV for a week while on the cruise. The location is 5 min away from cruise ship and you and your luggage are transported to and from cruise ship.
This is an industrial area where you are parking your vehicle, so don’t expect much more. No cover at all if it is raining. You park your car and take your keys. They say 24 hour attendant, but who knows you are on a cruise ship.
No problem with prepaid voucher, used Parkwiz app and it was $ 40 cheaper than parking in the lot where cruise ship leaves from.
Downside is the return ride from the cruise, I only counted 1 sixteen passenger van and some guy using his personal SUV. We waited 20 – 30 minutes once we walked out of customs to get a van back to my SUV.
If it was raining, this would have sucked, but we got lucky coming and going.
They also need a larger sign to identify parking location, I drove right by it.

My family and i just recently used premier parking. The staff was nice but totally disorganized. Some of the issues may not directly have been their fault but they really need to come up with a better system. The cruise ship apparently returned late, but this then forced everyone else to have to wait for those people to retrieve their cars because there were no other parking spaces. We arrived early and ended up waiting 2 hours in the heat before being able to board a shuttle. This situation was made even worse by the fact that the parking attendant asked my family to move their car off the line so that other cars could get out. We were then essentially cut in line and other people parked and boarded shuttles before us. Personally, I would not recommend Premier Parking if you are expecting to board quickly and smoothly. I would much rather pay more in the future and spend less time waiting in line.

We arrived before noon and were told we couldn’t park until everyone on the last ship was out. Waited an hour to even park. Then there was the line for the shuttles. Outside in the heat, no water. In an hour and a half maybe 3 vans came by. Ended up paying $ 5 each for fake shuttle and lost almost 2.5 hours off our vacay

This has to be one of the most unprofessional places of business I’ve ever come across. Here’s the good, our car was returned to us, we had a coupon, the price for 9days was about 170, we were transported from our car to the dock and upon return from the dock to the car. Now here’s the bad, absolutely no visible organization, and I’ll explain. So you arrive you to a business parking lot where you are directed to park and leave your keys with some random person who then moves your vehicle to a «secure» area. I still don’t know where that area was/​is. If that’s not troublesome enough there are 3 shuttles 2 are 15 passenger vans and one Jeep Cherokee. None of which have decals or any signage indicating «Premier Parking». The amount of people using this service requires vehicles that can accommodate large groups of people. The back and forth with the limited space creates a very long wait time. The employees don’t wear name tags or uniform. This may not sound bad but getting off the boat after 9days in my case (you are only are told to look for zone 15 when you leave your keys) it would help to know who you should be looking for. So unless you remember the people or the vehicles you really have no clue who is picking you up. Also zone 15 turns into a free for all when people refuse to be courteous and wait their turn. Which creates more havoc. Would I use this service again… absolutely not. The price draws you in but the level of service is far less than mediocre. Let me add for what it’s worth the return driver was nice and I felt bad for him because he had to deal with a lot of angry people… and none of the issues were his fault. For me I’d rather pay for better, reliable competent service.

My wife and I (purposely) arrived later in the afternoon. We saw no need to stand in line for a shuttle or at the terminal. After handing over the keys to our car and grabbing the two small bags, we jumped on the shuttle and the driver took us over to the terminal (there was no need to wait for anymore people, as the boat was leaving in an hour; seriously, we were one of the last to board, but we like it that way. No lines and no crazy people; it was a 10 day cruise, we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the ship and they won’t run out of food! lol). The only complaint I have during our departure was that the parking attendant stalled my manual transmission Honda three times trying to drive it away. :-\
When we got back, luckily we were one of the first to leave the ship and we carried our own bags off, so we were the second couple in line waiting for the return shuttle. We waited about 15 minutes and the shuttle van arrived. During that 15 minutes, the line got really long. Even after loading up as much people as possible into the van, there was still at least 50 people still in line. The driver said he was the only shuttle at the moment but that they were trying to get more.
So, overall a good experience as long as you’re not one of the crazy people who rush through everything. If you’re in a rush or don’t want to time it right like we did, it’s probably best to park at the pier and pay the higher rate.

This was very easy, we got to their lot and within 20 minutes we were checking in at the port. Their vans avoid the long lines. The pickup at the end of cruise was just as easy, 10 minute wait and we were in the van and on the road in 5 minutes. Great for ½ price of parking at the port

This was where we parked so we could catch the Celebrity Summit. We came here because of the cheaper rates compared to the other inflating parking prices at the actual terminal itself.
The employees were nice, and we didn’t encounter a significant waiting time to board the shuttles to and from the terminal.
I highly recommend this service to anyone who’s catching a cruise from the Bayonne Terminal and don’t want to pay high parking rates.

I often cruise and park off site and compared to other places I would not recommend them. I must admit that I had never parked at Port Liberty. The main problem was the shuttle busses. I did read other reviews which said they waited a long time for a bus. I called and asked them about it and they assured me the busses run every 15 minutes. Bus is probably not the right for to use. They transport you in a van that at best can hold 10 people. It was over an hour and a half from when we arrived to the check in point even though it was about a mile away. The problem was there was a lot of traffic and it took forever for the bus to come back from the port and when they did they could only transport a few people at a time. While they cannot be held responsible for the traffic if hey had more and bigger vans or busses this would not happen. I will never use them again. I would rather park at the port and pay more. If you have time to just stand around and wait then they are fine.

AVOID THIS SERVICE:
The website has a feature allowing you to not only book a parking space but also use a discount code while paying. I used the discount code and received a total before entering my credit card information. To my shock and surprise, the final total that was charged to my credit card was way more. So to clarify, the total given on the checkout page stated, your total is X amount of dollars, how would you like to pay? I put in my card info and when I received the receipt it stated nearly $ 40 more was charge than originally stated. This, my friends is called «bait and switch».
I called immediately and tried to get through the toll free number. There are two options — book a reservation live and leave a message into a dead mailbox. I called time and time again, left a message and no one ever called me back. I did use option #1 for a live agent but she told me I can cancel with one day’s parking fee and a $ 10 service fee charged as a penalty for cancelling.
I did not accept this and called my credit card company — this is bait switch in it’s simplest form. They reversed the transaction and created a dispute. I called Premier again and left a message stating what I did and that I would not trust parking my vehicle at their lot due to the circumstances.
Still, I called and called and left even more messages. Finally some guy calls me and makes me explain several times over and over why my problem is. He then decides this is something that cannot be resolved by him, takes down my info and tells me a manger has to call me back. So I wait, and wait and wait. No calls from ghost manager.
At this point, we had to leave for our trip and just decided to park at the cruise port. As I stated already, it was probably best that I didn’t trust my vehicle at their lot. The cruise terminal is a little more expensive but turns out it’s totally worth it, especially since we didn’t have to deal with all of the hassle so many others write about here on Unilocal.To top it all off, as we disembarked and walked out to the receiving area we asked someone in a group that was waiting if it was the transfer to the lot across the street. The woman was very annoyed and stated no, in fact they had been waiting over an hour for the Premier limo bus. So much for shuttle transfers every 15 minutes as they state on their website. These were some very unhappy people.
Several weeks later, the credit card company called me. It turns out Premier lied to them and said they had records of us parking at their lot. So the dispute goes on. My credit card company dispute agent actually talked me into keep fighting it by giving them additional info — even he can’t believe how bad this service is.
Trust me, DO NOT USE PREMIER. I totally get mistakes, operators who are not there to serve your every whim but this place LIES and used bait and switch tactics and caused many unnecessary hours of my time wasted over a stupid $ 40 discrepancy.

After reading other posts I was worried abouty decision to park here. i was jappy I did though, as Premier was easy to get to, cheaper than parking at Port Liberty, and 3 shuttles rushed to meet the passengers coming off my Royal Caribbean cruise. Going and coming home we never waited, and using this lot was one of the best decisions we made on our vacation.

What a horrible company and experience. We waited more than two hours for the shuttle to take us (they have way too few shuttles), on a freezing cold day. You sit in your car while your luggage is in line, and every once in a while when a shuttle comes, you have to get out of your car and move your luggage forward in line. The ground crew (although not the driver) were VERY, VERY RUDE and/​or Non-​Informative, presumably because they are yelled at all day by disgruntled customers (we witnessed a few that day). Part of this was due to traffic in the area, but there were insufficient shuttles to mitigate this, and clearly this business doesn’t inform you that the wait can be enormous if there is traffic in the area, which we learned is most often the case. Also we called in advance with a question and our call was never returned. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT TO START YOUR CRUISE COLD AND ANGRY.

No stars at all ! They are all about taking your money ! the people they employee who work there and at corporate are rude and nasty. You will regret it if you use the parking service. They do not offer refunds of any kind if there is a documented emergency !

Beware!!! Although much cheaper than the parking on the port provided by the cruise it is a horrible experience to say the least. Count on a wait of at least an hour or more standing outside waiting for the shuttle. They have at most 2 shuttles and although the parking is rather close to the port, there is a lot of traffic at the port which turns what should be a 15 minute wait to more than an hour! The staff is nasty and non-​accommodating not caring about the complaints of the long wait. Just imagine waiting outside in especially the winter months before getting on a cruise. I know sometimes you want to save money but honestly this is so not worth the frustration with this parking lot! I often park off site when traveling and usually have a good experience but with this parking facility it was such a horrible experience that i vowed to tell others to stay away!

Beware of reserving parking services with this company online!
They advertise an easy refund but I attempted to obtain a refund after reading poor reviews and they wanted to keep $ 16.00 in fees. In addition to this they wanted to issue a credit!
Already planning to avoid them in the future because I find there business practices sneaky and underhanded. I have reserved parking with other companies and never dealt with one that takes fees for a cancellation within a reasonable amount of time. Attempted to resolve my issue with there customer service dapartment and found them to be very rude! Also took the time to file a grevience with the BBB in Florida where there company is based but that did not help. This company doesnt seem to care much about customer service or repeat business. I am sure they only profit from the unknowing first timers that come there way.
Trying to find this place is also not easy because there are no signs to follow and the address is not clearly marked out front and the location contains a few other businesses. Also the shuttle pick up is not very efficient either. This is a self parking facility so you keep your keys and lock up on your own.
Save yourself the hassle and pay the extra to park at the port.
