Mi Tierra Barber Shop

After reading all of the previous reviews I decided to schedule an appointment at Mi Tierra and that was a huge mistake. I had scheduled an appointment prior to going and after arriving I was told that my barber had still not come in yet. He arrived almost an hour and a half late. The whole point I scheduled an appointment in advance was so I can go in and get a haircut right away. When he arrived the haircut was rushed took no more than 15 minutes and looked awful. I could have just went to SuperCuts they would have did a better job, and it would have been less money. This place is unprofessional and has no respect for their clients time. I will not be going here again. I do not recommend it.

As most would expect, going to a new place to get your hair cut leaves a lot of doubts. This cut exceeded my expectations. im not from the area but took a chance… lets face it like most im loyal to one shop usually one barber but an excursion into the LES to just to get a haircut is a little extreme. I have a new place… Jay was not far from perfect, especially because I was a new. Im sure it will get even better as time goes on… but Im damn happy. Mi Tierra is the place…

So I am going to a wedding soon and wanted a haircut to clean myself up. I’ve been letting my hair just grow and not giving a damn so I had a mess on my head and a large beard. I seen this spot cause I used to live up the block but then I checked out their Facebook and saw some pictures and decided to give it a shot. I usually don’t spend a lot of money on haircuts or I just cut it myself but decided to give in.
I was not disappointed, your boy Nate hooked it up. Gave me a nice tight fade and part line then he shaped up my sideburns and beard I’ve let grow uncontrolled for almost 4 months now, with a nice straight razor finish. All and All I was very impressed for a spot in Bayonne.
Also the atmosphere was pretty cool. There were people of all types in there, Older folks, kid, teenagers, family, it was straight packed and there was at least 6 chairs of people getting haircuts. They were watching a Micheal Jackson doc on the TV in the front room and shooting the shit as well as some Jams in the backroom. It was a mix between and old school barbershop with a new wave.

Started going to this barber shop over 10 years ago. And even though I’ve moved out of town I still come here for my haircuts. Maru is probably the most skilled barber in town. His attention to detail is unparalleled. The new location downtown is also really nice. Great atmosphere and tv’s on every wall for your viewing pleasures. If you’re looking for a skillful set of barbers and a good atmosphere, look no further. You will never want to get your hair cut anywhere else.

I been to a million other barbers until I finally found the one. I First started coming here when they opened up in 2001 And now it’s 2012 and no one other than my barber has touched my hair since.
To have a good barber the place requires just the right amount of ghettoness or else they can’t cut hair. But then they also have to have the professionalism to go along with it. This place has just the right amount of both. They originally started off with 1 – 2 barbers now they have grown to about 7 – 8 chairs. I make sure I have an appointment before I walk in because I don’t like to wait so I text them to schedule one but they do also take walk ins. Its about $ 14 haircut for guys.
They get 5 stars because your haircut actually comes out the way you want it.

I lived in Bayonne for a little while. My regular barber is in New Brunswick so getting down there was a hassle. So I went on a search for a new barber in the area.
I came across Mi Tierra and met the head barber. Told him I’m looking for a new barber and he was happy to take me on. He also honored making appointments for my cuts.
I’m not gonna lie I feel 100% comfortable with my regular barber in Brunswick but mi tierra is my number one place to go if I can’t get my regular guy.
