CVS pharmacy

I wish there was a –5stars option. This could be the worst pharmacy on the planet. Cvs is west Islip is good. Unfortunately my dr called a script into this cvs on a Wednesday. I called Thursday and it wasn’t ready, the nasty women on the phone said it was forgotten about and should be ready Friday. Called Friday and I was told they have to call the insurance company to et authorization. Well finally Monday I called and they said they were filling is and it will be ready by 11 am. Here I am at 12:15 pm and I’m waiting for them to fill it. On top of the incompetence you get an attitude from every employee. Cvs execs should try to get a script filled here. Worst !!! Worst !!! Worst !!! Now waiting in this dirty ass chair for 45 minutes ! Welllllll after waiting an additional 20 minutes I give up. Leaving without my medicine. If the staff spent less time fixing there manbuns and make up maybe they would be able to fill scripts.

My boyfriend and I went in to pick up a prescription of his. They filled it cash because it wasn’t covered by his insurance. No one called to tell him that, or how much it would be, which was over $ 100. They also felt it necessary to say at a high volume what the drug was and what it was for, violating his privacy and embarrassing him. This pharmacy, quite frankly, sucks. The kid who was about to ring him up didn’t even know what the drug was at first, he had to go look it up. Everything a pharmacy is supposed to do, they failed at. No calls to the patient, no calls to the Doctor to substitute for a covered prescription, no customer service. Do not waste your time, do not jeopardize your privacy.

I have been too many corporate pharmacies but I’ve never encountered one that is run so poorly. You would think that all DVD, Walgreens, etc are the same, but you would be wrong! Unfortunately this location is very close to my home so I continue going here for «convenience» sake but the massive lines and incompetent staff almost negate any time I save from but driving to a pharmacy farther away. If you can avoid this location, please do.

This pharmacy is the WORST! If I could give negative stars, I would. I had an issue last month after receiving 5 different stories about when my prescription would be ready and why it wasn’t ready when promised over 3 days. I decided to try it again and it has been over 10 days since the prescription was dropped off and not once did anyone from CVS call or follow up. Again I received several different excuses as to why it hasn’t been filled.

I stopped going to this place because you wait hours for a prescription that should be done in 10 minutes, and i was the only one waiting. You would think that a place like this would be more organized, but its just chaos in there. The lines be so long that you dont even want to wait even if you need the medication. The worst thing of all is when they lie to you, and it comes from them not communicating with each other and then Peter pays for Paul. So maybe management needs to re-​organize how things work on a day to day basis or actually even pay attention.

This place is the worst. They tell you your prescription will be ready in an hour, and when you show up it’s not ready of course!!!
Staff is not helpful at all. Mom and pop places are much better.
