Chubby’s Chicken and Burgers

Used to love this place. Unfortunately I had a terrible customer service experience and I won’t be coming back. They sell 2 chicken sandwiches for 5 dollars and I’ve always used this deal to get spicy chicken sandwiches. Today they decided to not honor the deal and refuse to charge the correct price. They claimed the deal is for just the crispy chicken sandwich even though they are the same price and it’s not specified. When I brought this up to the man at the counter he said the price is the price and if you don’t like it you don’t need to eat here. My roommates and I probably spend about 300 – 400 bucks a month ordering in from Chubby’s. Guess they don’t need our business, we’ll be ordering in from somewhere else.

Had the cheese burger combo, all I can say is it well crafted burger.

Love their burger. I always order it. Fried Chicken is fresh. You should try it. Plz keep them in business so I always Can have a good halal burger close by.

Love the chicken salad. And this location has a lot of deals. Halal too! Well priced as well.

The fried chicken here had to be one of my favorite things to eat in the area. There is nothing necessarily unique in what goes into it, but it’s always perfectly crispy, juicy and not heavily battered or unnecessarily greasy. 20 pieces with fries and a drink for 15 bucks? I don’t know how they’re going to afford keeping prices low but the rate I keep ordering from them I’m sure it’s because they know this stuff is crack.

Mmm the burgers. The highlight here is really the burgers, for the price you really cannot go wrong. I appreciate their large menu but don’t veer away from the burgers and fried chicken. If you have to, the chicken strips, wings and philly are ok but the rest is just average. They also offer mozzarella sticks as a side which is a plus.
The prices are pretty low and the workers are super chill. Place always looks clean but it’s still fairly new.
Definitely worth a try but if you go in for a gyro and salad… well don’t do that.

I remember when this location was a Pretzel shop, now it is Chubby’s Chicken and Burger. Part of me is sad at the lack of appreciation of pretzels in Brooklyn (it’s okay, the Philly girl in me will always eat them). The other part of me is ordering more of their hot wings.
The bf and I stopped by and ordered the hot wings, the crispy chicken sandwich, fries, and onion rings. I mean basically it was fast food but boy, they did it right. The hot wings were fried so crispy yet not dried out. They are pretty small though. The French fries were perfectly cooked and of the shoestring variety.
The onion rings were okay, not great. And the chicken sandwich could have been passed on. The meal was a bit pricey but those wings.
The hot wings were not spicy btw. There were a few sauces and we used a hot sauce (which was like a mixture of chili sauce and frank’s red hot).
