BEWARE!!! They’re Scam Artists and Liars!!! Won Auction for Onyx«Van Cleef & Arpels» Earrings on a Reputable Website-They Insist that I call before paying-Esther says«sorry– it’s all been a mistake by an employee that listed the earrings at the wrong price.» She said they then fired this person over it.(Nice…). They then say they’ll sell me the necklace-but at $ 2000 more than the winning bid! I was kind and ultimately we agree and confirm $ 4600-via phone and via text.(All saved!) two days later Esther texts me first thing saying that there’s another fee-for PayPal. Needed to charge more!!! Tells me that she even took the necklace to VC&Arpels to possibly be cleaned — contrary to the owners wishes to not take anything out of the store.(Trying to suck up to me). I tell her this is unacceptable! Have the owner call me! She never called. No surprise. She then mistakenly sends me texts discussing putting the earrings up somewhere else for sale! Miscreants. Esther pretended to cry-said she was a single mom and her boss will fire her over this-pleads with me to pay more so she won’t get in trouble for confirming the $ 4600 many times including shipping. Phony! They’re quite simply, grossly dishonest. The owner has no honor. This just illustrates the reason people don’t shop at mom and pop shops any longer. No policies or morals. No one to force them to stand behind their word. Basically the Wild West. In any case, The moral of the story is; «rejection is God’s protection.» Bit the bullet. Called my guy at my VC&Arpels here and they found me a Turquoise 10 motif necklace in YG! Shocking! Ahhhhh. Karma works.
