Sweet Sandy B’s Bake Shop

I had Sandy create a carrot cake (wedding cake style) for my parents 50^th wedding anniversary. The cake was beautiful and had wonderful flavor! Even better, it was very affordable! I now try to stop by whenever I’m back home to pick up some of her Peanut Butter cookies and awesome lemon bars!

Love everything this local bakery has to offer! Great stop in for treats — cookies or brownies are so good. Also, delicious cupcake flavors and the cake is always fresh tasting and not dry. Great addition to Bay City!

I can comment only on the cupcakes since that’s all I tried, but based on those scrumptious cupcakes, Sandy B rocks!
These were perfect little cakes with some of the best frosting I’ve had in recent memory. It’s all about the frosting… This was light, whipped buttercream frosting that was not too sweet. We tried a range of flavor combos and they were all delicious — white /​chocolate /​red velvet cakes with white /​chocolate /​peanut butter /​cookies & cream frostings. The red velvet cake + cream cheese frosting was amazing.
The shop is small and cute and is shared with another business /​candy maker. Sandy’s side offers up cookies, bars, cupcakes, and other pretty little baked goods. She also offers fancy specialty cakes of all shapes, sizes and colors for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.

I just fell in love with Sandy and her shop. I went in for cupcakes since we were having a guest over and Sandy greeted us with a smile. She was very friendly, which I think is important when you own a small business. What a sweetheart. And what great cupcakes! Sandy told me they were actually two stores in one, the other lady makes homemade candies such as rock candy and toffee. Thank you, Unilocal for connecting me to such a wonderful little gem. I bought 6 cupcakes and they only came to $ 13.50…SO cheap… Maybe now I can stop driving to Frankenmuth for cupcakes (as often)…Thank you, Sandy for the amazing treats at awesome prices and being so wonderful! I’m going to tell all my foodie friends about you. I will be returning again… and again… and again…

We have gone here many times, we are lucky enough to be her neighbor!!! There have been many things that we have tried, and there are is nothing I would not try again.
The cupcakes are to die for, anything lemon you will be puckering up for more, and the there is nothing slowing down the molasses cookies from disappearing from the plate. Also, be careful if anything has icing because it is addicting! We have not placed a large order, but I am sure the results would be the same.
If you are in the neighborhood or across town this is a great place for a quick pick me up sweet treat. If looking to be the hero for a party or at work this place has to be at the top of your list!!!
This is more than a recommend review, it is a must try!!!
