Old Town Gym

This is a gym for everyone. Free weights, machines, cardio, pool, tanning, sauna, hot tub, free daycare, personal trainers and 24 hour access. My favorite aspect is the free group fitness classes. They will challenge you to take your workout to the next level as will the people you will meet here on the gym floor.

I joined OTG in July and I wanted to give the gym a few months before I wrote a review. I have to say that OTG is one of the cleanest, most up-​to-​date, friendliest gyms I have ever joined. The equipment is well maintained (I have never seen ANYTHING «out of order») and the facilities are spotless (including the locker room and pool). The owner and staff clearly takes pride in this place– and it shows. Moreover, everyone who works there is friendly and supportive– people will call you by name, say hello, and tell you to have a good day, ask about your training, etc. And it’s all VERY genuine. This positive attitude is infectious to the members– as all members are equally courteous and friendly (from casually saying ‘hey’ to cleaning off machines, etc.). With OTG you get a small-​business customer-​focused gym– rather than one of the big box gyms (on one of my first visits there the OWNER was washing the floor– you’ll never see something like that somewhere else). Moreover, it’s INCREDIBLY well-​priced for the classes, times, and equipment they offer. I’m really glad that I went with OTG for my gym!

Have been to many gyms in the Mid Michigan area, this is by far the cleanest, updated, and diverse gym around. Not filled with meat heads or super models, OTG offers a variety of classes and trainers for any person with and level of experience in a gym.
Great hours, great pool, generally not too busy, with the exception of 5 – 7, but what gym isnt busy at that time?

Open until midnight, it’s really convenient for me because I can’t go until late. Really clean gym. It even has a swimming pool. The staff is friendly too. Being a bit self conscious, I actually felt pretty comfortable at this gym.

We joined this gym in ⁰⁶⁄₁₁ and it was fine for the first few months. That changed on the evening of 10÷10÷11. We joined this gym because they had a daycare so we could leave the kids while working out. On the night of the 10^th, we left 2 of our children in the daycare. It was a nice evening so the girl running the daycare had the kids outside on the playground equipment. Our daughter (age 5) fell off a swing and cut her head in a few places on the gravel. The daycare worker wouldn’t allow our son to come and get us. When we picked them up, our daughter sobbed for at least an hour and from that time forward, wouldn’t go to the daycare anymore (couldn’t blame her). When we explained this to the gym management, they wouldn’t allow us to cancel membership because our one year contract wasn’t up. Unfortunately, they didn’t live up to their end of the contract and I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.
