In any place but Bay S – tty, this place would close. The wine is awful, the service is the opposite of service and the food is not good. Keep driving. Or go hungry– just like you will if you come here.

Nice diner with a deceptive store front. The atmosphere was appropriate for the time of night(830 pm). The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I found the prices very accommodating, especially given the plate size.

Years ago food was good. Today was absolutely horrible. Took forever to get and was not anything like it was suppose to be. Alfredo sauce was cream of mushroom soup. It wasn’t even busy.

Been coming here since I was born, awesome food! They oversize everything, so expect to take from left overs home with you. The staff is very nice and helpful, and all my years coming here I’ve never had a compliant or something go wrong!

Have been to West a dozen times. Obvious no manager today. Seated ourselves then when we were talking of leaving a waitress said oh you snuck in??? Been sitting there in open room. Appetizer and drinks delivered without plates or napkins. Husbands tossed salad delivered my antipasta never came. Main course delivered still no salad when I said take it off the bill she said but it’s ready. Never got a refill of drink. Never had dirty dishes removed from table. Tipped at 10% not because we didn’t have cash but because it was generous for such a disappointment.

Went here for dinner last night after swearing that I would never come here again! HOWSTUPIDOFME. Waited about five minutes before anyone came over. A young lady dropped off the menus and left. Four or five minutes later a young man came over and identified himself as our server and took our order. That was the last that we saw of him. About five minutes later. another young lady brought my cole slaw. but not my wife’s soup. Another few minutes passed and here comes our sandwich and the soup that we sent back. Food that we received was acceptable. When we were paying our bill, my wife expressed her displeasure at not receiving her soup first. The woman told her“We took it off your bill.” Very unsatisfactory dining experience. If you wish to dine at Tramps Tony’s. go to GT west. Service is always superb.

We were passing through yesterday, and I must say I’m thankful for Unilocal. The lack of hand soap changed our minds and we went elsewhere. If there is no soap in the bathroom, and nobody in the restaurant can get any, chances are the staff aren’t using any either! I’m surprised this place is still in business. Awful.

I haven’t been to Bay City and several years and went back to GT Columbus. I ordered a pizza and it was very refreshing to have brick oven pizza instead of fast food type pizza from Dominos or Pizza Hut. I was also looking forward to eating the soft Italian bread in their bread basket. I can’t find Italian bread like this where I live and I ate about 8 slices of it along with the garlic toast with cheese spread.

Bland, cheap, and not cooked with care. Outdated décor and run down… booth seats are ripped and tables are greasy

I have been to this restaurant many more times than I can count. I still like their steak sandwich but some other items that I used to like are just not up to par like they used to be. Their side salad does not even rate 1 star. It is tasteless. Taste like bagged lettuce not freshly cut. No greens except iceberg lettuce. Which there is no nutritional advantage. I take a lot of medicines and I brought in my small bottle of smart water. I was told that I could not bring it in their restaurant. But there is not any bottled water that is comparative inside their restaurant. it seems their food has slipped down a lot. I usually don’t patronize this Restaurant any longer. I choose to go across town to Wilder Rd. where the brother of the Grampa Tony’s is located. The menu is pretty much the same, with a few different things on the menu, and there is no problem with me bringing my own bottle of smart water, which is unopened, into their establishment. The food on Wilder Rd. just seems to be higher quality.

Four hungry adults stopped for breakfast Saturday morning of the Tall Ships Celebration. It was early, and not many cars in the lot but we thought what the heck, local place let’s try it. Very fast service, and very good food! The Italian bread toast was buttered all the way to the edges and thick. My mushroom omelette’s mushrooms were ¼ mushrooms, not little thin slices, but whole quarter mushrooms, sauteed then put in the omelet. DW’s bacon side was 5 or 6 slices of bacon and some of the slices had to be ½″ thick and very well cooked! Outstanding food and very reasonable. When we go back to Bay City, which we will what a nice little town!, we will eat there again.

I really used to love this place and have continued to give it multiple«second chances» but end up disappointed every time. The menu prices went way up. .. even just a salad with iceberg lettuce is ridiculous; and the food isn’t up to par with said prices. It’s okay-ish as far as diner fare but I refuse to pay these prices when there are so many other great diners in the area. The steak sandwiches are still decent.

Outside: Street front Columbus Business District Inside: Outdated Neighborhood Old World Food: You know what you’re getting but be careful Cost: Depending on what you get very affordable Grandpa Tony’s is in the neighborhood and within walking distant. So we have eaten at this place more times than we could began to count. The delivery again has both ups and downs. We have not been to the west side location. Long story short is we could describe just about every type of service here from the best ever to the worst ever. Our final word on service would be the more you go the better the service. If it’s been a while since a visit you get the out towner treatment. I really only order manicotti and their pizza is great. The wife likes all of their soup and especially the chili. We pretty much stay away from everything off of the American side of the menu. As being in the neighborhood and not a bad price for the food I am sure we will be going back many times over. If in the area worth a stop for a local flavor, but i would not drive across town or from out of town for the food or the experience.

I had the chicken parmesan with lasagna special. The chicken was soggy but still tasted alright and the lasagna also wasn’t too tasty. The price was great as well as the service. Overall: average food at a decent price.

We got the Chicken Parmesan and some sort of seafood sampler and that was probably 1 or 2 stars. The fish and fried scallops were OK but the crab-cake was not very authentic, not that we were expecting it to be. The chicken parm was overdone and not that great. The spaghetti, meh. The mashed potatoes were really fake. It was a popular place though(lots of overweight people there btw), so I am guessing that the other options on their menu are better, as people have mentioned in the other reviews. I gave it three stars for that reason and because it was a clean, interesting place to eat from the relatively few restaurants that seemed to be in this area. The prices were low, we were hungry, so you really can’t complain! We were definitely the youngest people there on a Friday night, we were just passing through town on a road trip. This was certainly an adventure.

There are a handful of Tony’s around here… This one isn’t bad. I enjoy the steak sandwiches at Tony’s. The Supreme steak sandwiches are the best with mushrooms, green olives, onions and cheese… Both nights I’ve been, Fina has waited on us. I recommend her, she’s an awesome waitress, a lot of fun to talk to and always on top of things! Hours: Monday: Closed Tuesday-Thursday: 8am — midnight Friday: 8am — 2am Saturday: 8am — 2am Sunday: 8am — midnight Generally end up here later at night, it’s usually nice and quiet. The people working are generally pretty friendly as well. Find a menu online: You can also find hours and a menu for Bay City’s West side location as well.

A staple of Bay City. A great«Mom and Pop» Italian Americana place. I come here all the time, and I have yet to ever have a bad meal. The service is always fast and very friendly. The food is pretty cheap, and the portions are pretty big. A great breakfast menu and even better lunch/dinner menu. Only downfall, so popular, may be a little bit of a wait for seating on weekend nights.

Hmm, I recently have tried their chocolate malts. I must say that this is a double edged sword. They are so great, but well probably so not good for you! Whatever, this girl needs some good chocolate diversion from time to time. Somehow also I really like their Italian dressing. They actually call it «whop» dressing which I find interesting in this day and age. Either way, tasty with a home town divey sort of flair. BTW… get the salad with the chicken tologna and take the malt home for desert. Too much to get it all together, especially with the bread basket at the table which also serves as a nice touch. The only reason for only three stars is that the place is a bit run down, but hey, when lots of people know its a good thing, I guess that just might be what happens.

Was on a business trip that had me staying in Bay City for the night and headed out looking for some food. There isn’t a whole lot of choice in Bay City. A McDonalds, a Rally’s… and then this place that I’m sure has been an institution in this town for quite a long time. A completely local restaurant with that very neighborhood feel. Definitely what I was looking for. I had the Italian Platter or something like that which is a combination of all of their pasta dishes on one plate covered with sauce and mozzarella cheese. So it’s a little bit of spaghetti, canneloni, manicotti, lasagna, ravioli, and who knows what else all baked with a top layer of sauce and cheese. WAY too much for one person to eat, but good way to try a little of everything. I finished up with the bread pudding a la mode… and for $ 3.95 it was gargantuan. A huge brick of bread pudding covered with 4 or 5 scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. So on the plus side, the restaurant has great prices for the quantity of food you get. I didn’t come close to finishing my dinner or the dessert. And the atmosphere is very neighborhoody. Coming from California it felt very weird that there was a smoking section right in the middle of the restaurant. But totally reminded me of what restaurants were like when I was growing up in the Midwest. I just didn’t realize things haven’t changed in some of these states. None of the food was great. Serviceable, but I won’t remember this place for the taste of the food.
