Cafe On The Route

Not bad, not great. Long wait for overpriced food. Seems to be out of everything. Not my first choice.

As I sit here and wait on my check to be paid. … I felt like I need to write my review while I’m still irritated. They got salads the hubs got spaghetti red and I got the chicken dinner. Everything kind of took a while to get. So I leave go wash my hands and come back to everyone having their meals. Except me of course. The manager said the waitress which is new did not realize they didn’t have chicken anymore. Okay fine she is new and didn’t know better but the whole time they were fixing the meals did the cook or person working the expo the whole time the ticket was back there for about 15 minutes couldn’t of informed my waitress about the issue. Nope we wait until everyone was served. But I digress … So I had the option of chicken breast or any other item. It was described to believe it was a fried chicken breast I picked. Well it arrived and It was not fried. It was grilled. Annoyed I went ahead and ate it. The food itself actually was pretty good. Macaroni was good. Now when the bill comes its customary in customer service when someone receives bad service or you know it was not a satisfactory experience is to either A. Offer a free dessert B. Comp their appetizer C comp the persons meal they messed up. None of those things happen. I blame my poor experience on the kitchen and the poor management not the poor new waitress. Will I be back? I highly doubt that. It’s 2 stars because the food is actually good.

New owners, newly remodeled, just reopened. Great atmosphere and everything is cooked on the spot. Nothing frozen and most expensive thing on the menu was. $ 15.99. Lunch tasted really good.
