Good food, fair prices, and excellent service. This place is kinda small and the tables fill up fast. It’s about as traditional as you’re gonna get for Mexican style food around Battle Creek. There’s a few other restaurants like this around town but this one is close enough to swing into and far enough away that it’s not super busy.

Amazing. Love the food. Love the staff. I moved to MI in 2005 and the options for Mexican restaurants was abysmal.
When I walked into SF1 for the first time I was hooked!
You have to try the tortas. Nothing says home to me like a well made torta and they know what they’re doing!!!

if you would have told me that I would have to go to Battle Creek, MI to find some of the best taco’s I’ve ever had in my life — I’d call you crazy, But low and behold I stumbled across this gem and am so thankful I had! If you take the time to make handmade corn tortillas — I respect you. But once you pile said tortillas with beautifully seasoned Al Pastor or Barbacoa — I admire you. This place is top notch good eats!

The food here is delicious and authentic! We frequently order take out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoy their Monday taco specials both American and Mexican style. Their steak Torta is also a favorite.

This is a really solid place for some Mexican fare in the Battle Creek area. I’ve tried this place several times over the last couple of years and really enjoy their tacos (highly recommend getting it ‘Mexican’ style, which is served with cilantro, onions, radish and cucumbers).

I’ve been all around the country and this is my favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. There is something special about the food. You can tell the dishes are freshly prepared with love and care. Friendly staff and great vegetarian options. The restaurant is small enough to where you can have a conversation. Surprisingly, they are not open on weekends.

Heard a lot of great reviews about the place, so I had to give it a try. All I can say is awesome, I’ve lived in Cali and in Las Vegas, this place could easily open a place there and make it. So happy to hear that they are moving to a bigger place, they need to. I’ll be eating there way more often now.

I lived in Mexico & this is the best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in our area. The chile relleno is my personal favorite but I have enjoyed every meal here. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly & fast. There are also great options for vegetarians made with fresh ingredients.

Best Mexican food in the area. Fresh ingredients, diverse menu, and it is all authentic. Service is always fast and friendly no matter how packed it is. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is simply delicious. My family and I eat here all the time and we know good Mexican food! Everyone I’ve personally referred here has gotten just as hooked as we are!

The service was nice, but the food was disappointing. It lacked flavor, was very bland. The salsa was sweet, and not what I expected. I ordered the chicken Taco Salad. It was edible, but I didn’t really feel like finishing it. Just too plain for my taste and I don’t even like spicy food. My friend ordered the tamales with beans and rice, another disappointment. Unfortunately, I won’t be back.
