This is a very busy rest area in a busy part of the state. Located in Battle Creek on eastbound I-94, this rest area has been in use for decades. The building layout is a little different from others, but it serves the transient traveler well. Cars and trucks are separated into different parking lots, and during busy times, they can fill quickly. At night, the truck side will fill to beyond capacity. A well-maintained facility, they have well water in their drinking fountains. My recent visit yielded a bit of sand in the bottom of my drinking cup. No problem.
