We made a reservation for a 5 night stay at this sleep inn. When we got there, we were greeted by a very rude middle eastern woman at the front desk. Later, we asked for a rolling cot to accommodate our fourth guest. They want to charge $ 10 for this by the way. The manager brought the cot up to the room and when we unfolded it, there was rodent feces on it. After I talked to the owner about the rat problem they are facing and that they brought me a cot with poop on it, I was treated as if I somehow processed the rat poop already and planted it on his cot. The owner offered me zero sort of acceptable compensation and treated me and my friends like peasants.

Had an unpleasant experience at my favorite choice hotel(comfort suites in Denham Springs) so I checked into Sleep Inn. Room was much smaller than what I’m accustomed to but it served its purpose. The pool was clean, the breakfast was fresh and the staff was FANTASTIC. Cable channels are limited and the hotel feels older but my queen bed was COMFORTABLE. For the price it was just right!

I stay predominantly at Choice Hotels as I am a Choice Privileges Member. I am a business traveler and Choice has the best points program by far. The hotel is right off of Interstate 12 and Airline Hwy. I have stayed here several times. The hotel is good for the money. I have stayed in all of the Choice hotels in Baton Rouge, LA. This one is the nicest(that’s not saying much though). The best Choice Hotel in the area is a Comfort Suites in Denham Springs. It is about 10 minutes east from the Sleep Inn off of Interstate 12. Sometimes, when I work in Baton Rouge I have to drive during rush hour. That makes the drive time significantly higher. I’d recommend this hotel if you don’t mind the extra drive or have a flexible schedule. Back to the Sleep Inn. The rooms are small. Somewhere about 14×14. It’s fine for me, but not for me and if I brought my family. If you have a family, you will want to stay somewhere else. There are not very many channels on the tv, which is no longer an issue for me as I do not watch tv while out of town anymore. On the plus side, the staff are always great. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are good. Best of all, their rates are extremely reasonable. If you are on a budget and looking for a hotel, this one is definitely worth the money.

We made our reservations online in advance and had no issues checking in upon arrival. We booked directly through the Choice Hotels website. A reasonable rate was quoted and we had no problems actually checking in. The room was quaint, but cutely decorated and more than sufficiently comfortable. There were no cleanliness issues and it smelled perfectly clean. The TV and cable worked beautifully and the water was hot and plentiful. The floors and counters appeared cleans. With the exception of a few very minor cosmetic issues, the room was perfect. The air conditioner worked too good. Breakfast the next morning was average, but served it’s purpose. There was slight confusion with my bill, but the staff was friendly and the issue was easily resolved. I’ve never been disappointed with Sleep Inn!

The room was clean. For some reason the cable cut out around midnight. This didn’t really bother me because I was only watching it to fall asleep, and cable isn’t something I usually place high on my list of concerns when choosing a hotel. One thing worth noting, though, is the location. It’s farther past downtown Baton Rouge than I usually stay, but it’s within walking distance of the celebration station(which I found out is open until 11pm on weekends). I love mini-golf! Also, Cracker Barrel is right there if you’re visiting family and want to meet for breakfast.
