Great food and even better service. I was traveling alone with my pups and I was tired of drive thru food. After ordering, I mentioned that I would wait for my food in the car with my puppies, but that I’d be back. They offered to take the food to my car without any hesitation. I really appreciated that.

Great food, great people one of my favorite places to eat! The food is super fresh. The folks who run the place are a family, always happy to see you. It’s clean and rarely crowded. Always a plate full. Plenty of parking! Eat here!

I love this place! It’s super close to my work so I call in and order. It’s always ready in about 15 minutes. I don’t venture out much from my usual, but the chicken breast kabob is so good! I usually get the hummus, dolmas, or grilled green beans/broccoli. It isn’t like your typical Greek or Mediterranean restaurants. I think it’s delicious and the staff is extremely nice.

Truly disappointed. My husband and I always make the mistake of ordering too much. Because we are traveling, we figured we would share a few things. This place is way too overpriced for the quantity. The food is tasty, but not worth paying that much. We got the lamb kebab plate with hummus and dolmas. I figured I didn’t have to order a salad or extra veggies since this plate claimed to come with vegetables. The vegetable skewer was tiny: some grilled onion, not even a quarter sized slice of tomato, and half of a zucchini! Everything was good but lacking in authenticity. Not only have we had better and for cheaper, but the portion was sooo small. We paid $ 19 for this and two spanakopita(not the true flaky phillo dough), but ended up still hungry for more. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

After seeing this place and the fairly good review here on Unilocal,I decided I’d give it a shot next time I was out this way. A few weeks ago I had some business(ok, drinks) on O’neal so I decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered the gyro beef lunch plate with hummus and baba ghanoosh. It came out to a little over $ 8 but feeling generous(ok, drunk) I think I wound up giving them a 10. It seemed to take forever for the food to come out, despite me being the only person in the place. That should’ve been a sign for me to walk out right there. Eventually the food showed up, and it was a pretty decent sized portion. The pita bread was nice and fluffy, but it did not appear to be homemade. The hummus was fairly good, though I’ve had much better. The gyro meat was very oily and had an odd rubbery texture, and sported a strong garlic flavor. Probably the least favorite gyro I’ve had. But on to the baba ghanoosh. This shit was like a puddle of semi-liquid garlic concentrate. It’s the only thing I could taste once I tried it, and indeed I tasted it until about 10 o’clock that night. I’m Italian-American and I will admit to loving the fuck out of garlic. I’ve always said you can never have too much garlic. I was wrong. Roto Grill King Kebab found a way to have too much garlic. The good news is that if there is ever a rash of vampire attacks in Baton Rouge, I know exactly where to go and what to order to keep myself safe. The bad news is that unless there is ever a rash of vampire attacks in Baton Rouge, I know exactly where not to go ever again: Roto Grill King Kebab.

My husband and I eat here very frequently because it is so close to our house. We have yet to have a bad experience. I’ve tried nearly all the kebab options, but usually stick to the hummus and greek salad as the side items. It is definitely family owned and they are always friendly. Every time we have out of town guests, they get treated to Roto Grill and are always impressed with the wonderful flavors.

This place is great for vegetarians. My first time there, I tried the veggie kabobs. The veggies were tender and had an excellent flavor. The hummus is tasty and topped with a spicy chili sauce. My second time, I had the vegan burger. It was juicy and the Lebanese pickles made it a great meal. My meat eating husband had the lamb kabobs and said they were juicy and full of flavor. This is a small neighborhood joint that is well worth a try.

Two dining experiences to share; This place is very convenient to me, I can throw a rock from my house and hit their back door(not that I would do that). First time I went I had a Chicken Kabob with salad and something I don’t remember… either way, the Kabob was assembled fresh and cooked on their unique grill. The salad was great(I love Greek style salads), lettuce was crisp, everything fresh. Second time I wanted something simple, I decided on the«Greek Burger». I was expecting perhaps a ground beef patty with greek seasoning… what I got was a pleasant surprise — it was a hamburger bun with patties of gyros and typical«burger veggies». This sandwich was great tasting. The veggies were crisp and fresh(onion, tomato, lettuce, etc). The meat was tasty. The only complaint I would have was that the meat was too juicy, to the point that it drenched the lower half of the bun with juices. This made the burger difficult to eat, but the flavor was worth it. I had a choice of salad or fries for a side and I chose the salad, which was fresh and tasty as it was on my first trip. Pricing was about par for a Greek /Lebanese restaurant. You can get out for under $ 10/person depending on what you order, but you will likely be a little over that.

I saw the Unilocal review and we went. The food was really good. I had beef, chicken and gyro kabobs. They all were good but the beef was my favorite. The hummus and babaganush were excellent. He added some type of chili sauce on top. Just a dab. I an thinking it was Chili Garlic Sauce but it was delicious. The salad was fresh. The service was excellent. The plates are rather large so get it in a to go container. I think it was husband and wife… they were very nice. A little out of the way but really good and well worth the trip.

Stumbled upon this place thanks to the first review from fellow Unilocaler and glad I did. The lunch plate came with a kabob of your choice(8 different kinds) along with a skewer of vegetables and choice of 2 sides(again a nice selection to choose from). I got the chicken kabob which was cooked on their Roto-grill which looks like a giant version of the hot dog cooker you see at theaters. The chicken was moist and tender and coated with a delicious blend of spices. The feta salad was perfect and the hummus(with pita) was uniquely topped with olive oil, chick peas, and a spot of chili pepper sauce which I’ve never seen done but had to ask for extra because it was such a good complement of flavors with the hummus. The presentation was beautiful and I’m already thinking about my next visit with my family and i know its kid friendly with a cart of children’s books in the front window. I almost deducted a half star because they didn’t have Lebanese tea, but the friendly owner and his son said they were adding it next week with free refills, so they get the last star in advance.

Roto Grill is another Greek/Lebanese restaurant in Baton Rouge, which is a nice market for Greek/Lebanese restaurants. Their hummus is among the best, and they serve most of their food in a kebab form, unlike most other places, and they do dress their meals with unusual vegetables, which is a plus. They also season the dishes in a unique, but wonderful way. Price-wise, it is on par with Arzi’s, and it is excellent. Definitely a keeper; however, it is in a rather remote location, about one mile from the interstate not near very many other eateries.
