This place is great. I don’t see how he’ll stay in business being tucked into his nonsense of a location. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for four years and just discovered this market about six months ago. But, every time I go I’m not the only patron in the store so what do I know.
Grocery items from Greece, Turkey, north Africa. Excellent selections at good prices. I especially recommend his varieties of stuffed grape leaves and the hummus. The latter can be doctored up with some lemon, garlic, cumin, and a little olive oil and it’s ready to go in minutes and will be devoured by your guests. Look also for large jars of roasted red peppers that can be used in all manner of cooking. Olive oil at a good price. He carries teas that I like and specialty desserts that are a treat to eat and fun to serve because people around here are not familiar with them.
Hope he hangs around because I now include him on my «route» of shops when making my monthly grocery rounds.
