Mayfair Park

Nice 23 acre neighborhood park located in the Mayfair Park Subdivision off Hyacinth Ave, between Staring Lane and Bluebonnet. Trees line the back of it giving a woodsy feel. The park has a Recreation center with an indoor basketball court. I spoke to three teenage boys hanging out at the park Sunday and asked them what they loved most about this park. The indoor basketball court was the unanimous answer. They all agreed it should be open on weekends and pointed out that it was the favorite of many kids in the area so only opening 5 hours four days a week «just didn’t do it» for the kids. They added that they’ve never seen any teams using the ball field, but the outdoor basketball court, playground and tennis court were popular.
The park is well maintained and has ample parking space. The BBQ grill is in good condition as were the picnic tables and playground equipment.
