Since I’m not from BR, I’m not always up to date on the best local family places. I had the opportunity to come a birthday party here a few months ago and was so impressed, I decided surely at least one of my kids needed a party here too. The party was yesterday and I’m still just as impressed. Now first let me say, this is not the newest place in town. Basically it’s probably older than I am and just enough maintenance to keep it running has been done… but don’t let that stop you from coming and skating your legs off! We held a private party here on a Sunday afternoon. You get an hour and 45 minute time slot where just you and your guests have literally the whole place to yourself. The rink is humongous so it never feels too crowded. Parents are also welcomed to walk onto the rink to accompany their child if they don’t choose to skate. Even little babies can run out there and have a great time. This is truly one of the best deals you will find in the city for this type of party. I’m already trying to think which kid’s party I can do here next!

«Leo’s Rollerland is the perfect family hang-out». Rollerskating is the ultimate pastime activity. I think I have enjoyed rollerskating more as an adult than I did as a child. The only thing I don’t like about rollerskating as an adult is falling. Oooohhh did wish I was a child again, who falls in such a carefree way, because it HURTBAD for days after falling on my bottom. Other than the fall, I loved skating because it makes for such an excellent workout. I was able to skate for hours. Even though Skate Galaxy has been around for a long time, it has been kept up pretty well. Sections of it could use some updating, but that would take away the character of this historic place. Folks that have not been for years, who have recently come back have said that it looks exactly the same. Kids birthday parties? It’s a perfect place to gather kids and their friends to go skate crazy. Bring your cake, pizza or other food for the kiddos and you have a skate-themed birthday party! I agree with one of the other reviews that they should give a discount to those that bring their own skates. The price is the same for all skater that rent their skates or bring their skates. This place serves the purpose for people that want to come to skate leisurely. The rink is big enough that you don’t have to worry too much about the pro-skaters running you over. I cannot speak for the times that they are crowded though. During the winter time, they have ice skating at their sister facility next door.

Skating is an excellent alternative to a typical workout, and they provide enough space to accomplish that. A great place to bring the kids to get them active. I would definitely give them four stars if their rental skates were a bit better and five stars if they could give a two dollar discount(one for each foot) if you bring in your own skates! Besides that the customers were well behaved and the employees were easy to deal with, especially when it came to swapping out rental shoes.

Love it here and had so much fun! We went on a Friday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday(the old– fashioned skate night way) and had such a great time! This is the first time I had been to this place in 20 years and it has not changed a bit except that they have added doors to the women’s bathroom stalls which is much appreciated. I used to hate that! Even the huge, beautiful periwinkle skate floor is still there! So lovely.
The people working there are so sweet and helpful and just nice to chat with. They let me change skates until I found a pair I could tolerate. Unfortunately none of them were super comfy. One thing I wish they would change are the hours. On Friday nights they are open from 7−10pm which I found very challenging with a 5 year old who really needs to keep to an early bedtime schedule. Just opening up an hour earlier would be so nice. Even still, we did end up staying and having a great time, though I definitely paid the price later that night with her crankiness, but it was worth it. Last but not least, I always have to comment on the bathrooms everywhere and I have to say that the toilets and bathroom overall, at least in the women’s, were very clean! Always a plus!

Leo is great and really friendly! Open during the afternoons during the week, and on Friday night. It’s clean, plenty of room to skate, and a fun atmosphere. It’s only $ 5 to skate and it’s usually not crowded.

A nice place with friendly owners. Went on a Friday night and there was a fair number of people, but it wasn’t overly crowded. On Fridays it’s $ 5 to enter, and skates are included in the price. Rollerblades are available for $ 2 more. It’s worth checking out!
