Even though it has classic console games, these are severely overpriced. Save your money and get it off eBay for ½ the price.(That’s including the shipping if it isn’t already free). Not only that, but the current games are even overpriced by $ 15-$ 20 compared to GameStop, and yes I’m looking at the New version. The exact same thing. Staff is friendly, but is hardly knowledgeable about the new and upcoming games. I asked a few questions about the E3 announcements, and they had no idea what E3 is. So in short, online shopping/GameStop is 110% better than this overpriced store.

I like the fact that there are arcade games and older games, but the staff is lazy and everything is overpriced. I prefer going to gamestop or ordering online.

I used to love coming to Gameware, but I haven’t been here in a very long time. From what I remember, the front of the store carried the latest games and consoles. They also had a great selection of older titles, including some classics. Basically, everything you’d expect to find at a good gaming store. While this sounds pretty good on it’s own, I still haven’t mentioned the back of the store which had a small arcade and lots of imported goods. They carried lots of Animé stuff, everything from imported DVDs & soundtracks to toys & memorabilia. They also had a lot of Japanese music CDs and plenty of imported video games to choose from. Overall, Gameware went above and beyond what is expected of a good gaming store and never failed to impress me. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area, but especially to hardcore gamers and Animé fans.

Be still, my heart! I thought the era of game stores with in-store-arcades was long past, but here comes GameWare blowing away my expectations. The front half of the store is what you would expect: the latest PS3, 360, and wii games, plus a decent selection of titles for hand-helds and older consoles. Pretty much what you could find in any EBGames. But! The back half of the store is a complete gem; they have about 8 arcade machines on rotation. There’s a DDR Supernova 2 in immaculate condition, some good racing games(like initial D), cool classic arcade favorites(Puzzle Bobble and Puzzle Fighter!) and the gem of the crop: a Pop’n Music 14 Fever. This place is my saving grace in BR while I’m traveling — I’m probably going to spend an embarrassing amount of time in the arcade section. Oh, and as an addendum — the staff are all quite friendly and chatty. Hooray!
