Cuban Liquors

Great place to get local and international craft beer. They sell singles too for a number of beers so you can stock up a variety of stuff without buying 6 packs. I was shocked to see they had some homebrew supplies on hand.

One of the best selections of whiskey and beer in town. They carry a lot of rare beers and they get in some specialty items every so often. They also do a wine tasting every week too, check it out!

This is the place to go if you need beer, micro brews that is. Cuban Liquor has a wide selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Just about anything you want, they have. They’re very willing to help with any questions. It can be a tough parking lot to get in and out. Always park on the side, never in front.
You can also order kegs if you’re having large parties or have a kegerator.

Wide selection of products to cater to all crowds. Beer. Wine… Hard liquor. You name it it’s there. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and you don’t get the judgmental stares you sometimes get in grocery stores.

Seemed to be a great spot. I stopped by to get a bottle of wine and some beer for the weekend. I was looking for Indian Summer by Lazy Magnolia when a guy behind the register kindly asked if I needed help finding something. I said «yes, actually I was looking for Indian Summer, you know by Lazy Magnolia» He seemed unsure, so looked to his fellow co-​worker sitting on a stool with his arms crossed. He snootily looked at me like the biggest beer snob and said «umm, that is a SUMMER seasonal beer and it is WINTER.» I replied, «oh really? I get it other places year round, I never knew it was seasonal?!» I left with my blood boiling because I knew he was wrong. Despite being right or wrong, you should never talk to a customer like they are idiots and you are this all knowing beer connoisseur. Because actually, Mr. Know-​it-​all… according to their website Indian Summer used to be a seasonal years ago and due to it’s popularity is now available year round! Know what you are talking about before you act like an A. I went a mile down the street to Bet-​R where they had Indian Summer and better customer service. I also saw it at Calandro’s this weekend as well. Will keep my business other places.

It’s not the cheapest place in town, but I dare you to find anywhere that carries the extensive (not very deep but definitely broad) inventory that these guys do and is still affordable.. .and has the customer service as well! Every time I walk in the door I am always greeted and offered assistance. Usually when I ask for advice they have always sampled the inventory and can make a good recommendation. I’ve never seen such a wide array of liquors (aperitifs, digestifs, herbal bitters, etc) anywhere! (The bar at the Normandy Inn & Suites (Minneapolis) actually stocks quite a few, but nothing like this.) Keep up the great work!

The guys that work in here are super cool and chill. They also know their stuff when it comes to liquor. You can count on them to have the ramicans for Jell-​O shots the day before St Pattys day! I wish they had a better selection of white wines in the cooler. Other than that, keep up the good work! Oh, and they also do some sort of tasting at least once a week. I’ve been meaning to go check that out.

When I need liquor in bottle form, I’m here at Cuban trying to find it. There are probably cheaper places out there, but Cuban carries a wide variety on just about every spirit. Above all, unlike the mega shops and chain spots, they’re about as local as they come.
From mainstream brands to independent spirits, it’s more than likely they have in inventory. I have yet to come here and walk away empty handed but then again I’m always calling ahead of time (key tip!). The random beers and whisky selection makes for some fun browsing when you’re just looking to spice things up.
What has kept them among the top liquor store totem pole has been a combination of their awesome customer service and quality tastings. Whether its mini sips of a sponsored rum or wine vendors promoting their latest cabernet, Cuban does a good job of keeping it light and right.
Parking is solid. Though lots of folks park out front, there is a side lot as well. Since people are in and out of here, the lines are never too crazy. Hence, Cuban Liquor is an convenient spot to find that one special bottle.

Cuban Liquor is a great place! I’ve been here several times now and I always appreciate the excellent selection and friendly, helpful staff. Cuban has wine tastings pretty often, which is always great! One star off for higher prices than other stores on same products (only by a dollar or two)– but I’d rather come to Cuban than go searching elsewhere. I have found some of the wine sold at Cuban for much less at World Market, but I don’t always want to go all the way out there. Overall, I highly recommend Cuban and I’m confident that you’ll find what you’re looking for!

Doesn’t look like much on the outside, but looks can definitely be deceiving. The goat cheese lady at the Red Stick Farmers Market suggested we go buy a «buttery» chardonnay to go with the yummy deliciousness we bought from her. Not knowing Baton Rouge, we called my cousin who’s wife told us to go here… so we did. When we saw the gaudy yellow and red sign I thought «there’s no way this place will have what we need nor will anyone in here will be knowledgeable either. I stand corrected! Can’t remember the guy’s name but I remember him being from Memphis. He not only knew what we wanted, had knowledge but when asked about a very special type of dessert wine he charmed us again! Of course, I don’t know if we just lucked out with our timing getting the only employee with excellent wine skills or if all the employees are as knowledgeable. For my purposes, this place rocked!!!

I reviewed before and if I remember correctly I only gave 3 stars. Not sure if I was drunk when I came in here or what? Or maybe they remodeled parts of the store or maybe I’m just not very good at observing my surroundings because this place is awesome. Very very good selection of everything. They have some crazy beers here. I posted a couple pics of the funny ones. Don’t know how I missed this the first time but they have a brewing and tasting area in the back and as I was browsing they offered me some wine… what? YES! I will definitely come back here.

I enjoy Cuban Liquor, especially how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. They host spirits and wine tastings regularly, with vendors showcasing their wares.
They have every liquor for every budget, from the cheapest tequila to a most expensive of scotches.
Between the great service and the impressive selection, this is a wonderful place to go find the new drink to serve for your next gathering.
