To my surprise, everything is made in house at Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro. I ordered the shrimp and crab bake(happy hour) and it was creamy and delicious. I could tell it was made there due to it’s fresh flavors. So I inquired and that is when I was informed that EVERYTHING is made in house down to the blue cheese dressing and blue cheese stuffed olives(on request only). I also ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad. The salad was huge like most portions at CCB. Every bite was an explosion of flavors and the particular avocado on my plate was one of the best I ever had. I am not an avocado fan usually but this one was eaten before I could get it to a togo box.

I ordered jambalaya pasta through a company called Major Menus at work. When the person from Cheesecake bistro arrived, he dropped the food off and left before I could express concern. The picture of my food is BEFORE I touched it. My salad was just lettuce and only a half the size of my palm at that. Lettuce was unwashed and browning and had nothing in the salad. No cheese, tomatoes, croutons, NOTHING. Just lettuce. My food was cold and looked like a childs plate. It literally looked like this could’ve been someone’s left overs that was just scraped in my box. I am very dissatisfied.

Love going to this facility during happy hour where the appetizers are half off. The crab and crawfish bake is to die for, literally. I also love the crash and burns. However, it depends on the bartender for that night. I say that only bc sometimes they can be kind of weak in alcohol as if it were watered down. On a regular outting their crawfish ravioli is amazing. I like to make sure mine is saucey. I never finish all of it So I end up taking it to go and the leftovers are just as good. If you’re looking for a lighter/healthier option the spicy beer can chicken is your meal! It’s not even that spicy honestly for those hesitant with that. It as well is filling and I always tend to take leftovers of that. Also you must not leave without trying their cheesecake! The dulce de leche pralines cheesecake is mouth watering. So rich and sweet. I’ve tried a few cheesecakes there, and this one has to be my favorite among them all.

Cheesecake Bistro was recommended to me by a few locals claiming it was the precursor to the Cheesecake Factory. After experiencing Baton Rouge restaurants for the weekend we decided to visit. Our entire table ordered the crawfish ravioli. Amazing. So delicious. The serving size was large and the price was cheap for how much food was in it. Service could’ve been better. It was late and not busy but there could always be room for improvement. Dessert was the main reason we went. Each of us ordered a different flavor cheesecake. I got the fudge brownie for myself and took it back with me to go. I was sadly disappointed which is why I couldn’t give them a higher rating. The cheesecake itself, the core flavor, was just not good. It wasn’t terrible but In today’s world of dessert places I expected more. If given the chance to come back to Baton Rouge this would t be my first choice but I wouldn’t say no to it if others wanted to eat there. Maybe I got a bad cheesecake but the rest of my group was also not impressed with the dessert. Their food is phenomenal but their dessert and namesake was a disappointment.

Prompt service. Horrible parking. I ordered the lunch portion of the crawfish ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. My coworkers ordered the fried chicken. My food was okay, I didn’t like that it was breaded, I assumed it would be traditional pasta ravioli. I guess I shoulda examined the Unilocal photos a bit closer :-). My coworkers food looked and smelled yummy. The cheesecake was fantastic. When I come here next time I will try a different entrée and of course the cheesecake!

Worthless service. Nothing else really to say. I’m incensed at having wasted my money because your phone answering host(ess) had one job. Punch a fucking button on a fucking screen and get my order correct. You’re welcome, your tip was not earned tonight.

Went here with boyfriend, and I love it so much! I had the eggplant napoleon, while he had the jambalaya pasta. Our appetizer was the spinach dip. I was surprised that it had fried artichokes. We finished it off with some cheesecake. My boyfriend had the strawberry cheesecake, while I had the praline cheesecake. You gotta have some money to go here. I was temped to get the pasta bowl, but maybe next time.

Yall… This place was fantastic! I agree with the other reviewers that this place does have a Cheesecake Factory feel to it but on a much smaller scale! Crawfish Ravioli was delicious! I was not expecting it to be friend but it was still really good! I also took an Oreo cheesecake to go and that was great! Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed that we had a party of 10 but she figured it out, drink service lacked a little but but she was still really sweet and tried her best. I can imagine this place getting pretty packed at prime time for dinner and lunch but it was worth the wait.

I like this hidden gem. It looks and feels like the Cheesecake Factory. The prices here are much more reasonable in comparison. We each had the lunch special with the upgrade to cheesecake for dessert(instead of the brownie). I have the crawfish ravioli(not the correct name). The portion size was more than adequate and really had no room for dessert(but that did not stop me). The salad was fine. The cheesed garlic bread was good. The ravioli was suppose to have a spicy sauce which I did not taste but was good nonetheless less. Hubby had the mom’s meatloaf. He said it was moist and good. I had the banana foster cheesecake. Good but messy. Hubby had the peanut butter cheesecake. It was heavenly. Service was good. Refills were timely and the kitchen was average time.

I was told about this place and it was my first time being in Baton Rouge and I ordered the chicken our waiter was not that familiar with the menu nor was a knowledgeable about substitutes that could be done and he was very forgetful, however the chicken was amazing worth the wait and I’ll take that service just to get that chicken any day! Lol it was perfectly crispy with syrup it was the best ever it also came with waffles.

We went to Cheesecake Bistro for brunch on the weekend because there was no wait and the other restaurants our group had hoped to go to had waits of over an hour. There is a reason there was no wait at Cheesecake Bistro — the brunch is average at best. Everyone in our large group said there food was«OK», no one really loved it. And breakfast should be easy. It took a long time for our order to come out, and when it did the food(mine at least) was lukewarm. My poached eggs were completely hard boiled; the yolk a hard yellow mass. Breakfast potatoes are simply mashed potatoes — not sure why they don’t just call them that to better manage expectations. The fresh squeezed juice tasted like badly mixed concentrate. To top it off, it was expensive. We would definitely not go here for brunch again.

Every time we go here we get a different cheesecake for desert. We haven’t been disappointed yet. We usually get a seafood entrée and a meat entrée and share. The ribeye, although fatty as a good ribeye should be, was Deeeelicious. Although I was chastised about my cholesterol, I enjoyed every heart stopping moment of it! I made up for it by having salad and steamed veggies:) The stuffed drum was also a great dish and alternating between the two of us created a surf and turf. We were stuffed also when the cheesecake arrived, but somehow we managed to eat every creamy bite! The prices for the quality and service are expected. We are normally an $ 80 – 100 cover.

This place is awesome! I always start with a really good martini, some hot wings, and crawfish ravioli. It is so worth it and of course you have to get the cheesecake as well. Talk about great, I mean that is what they are known for. They also have some seasonal biscuits they will bring around(complimentary). It’s like corn and cheese biscuits I believe but they are way better than they sound! They also have really good fish. This place is a must go! Especially if you are from out of town. You will not be disappointed. It’s dim lighting gives it a very romantic vibe. Perfect for hot dates of family time, they have very well lit areas as well.

I am biased in favor of anything Copeland’s… I just love the flavor of… well, all of the artery clogging goodness that they serve here. One of my favorite heart stoppers is the BBQ shrimp linguine pizza pasta bowl… got all that? It’s jumbo Gulf shrimp pan sauteed with green onions, creole seasoning and butter garlic tossed over linguine all served atop an herb cheese pizza bowl. It is truly fantastic, but VERY rich and probably not for everyone. I think they have some other good things here, but I usually can’t stray away from getting just this dish every time I go. I’ll just mention that this place has been here for a while now, and the building is starting to look a little dated. Might be time soon for Copeland’s to consider renovating and updating the décor. BOTTOMLINE: A Copeland’s restaurant, so you know the food will be awesome.
