Always a good meal at Bonefish Grill. Bang Bang shrimp on Wednesday night with the happy hour combination. Also great for lunch. Love the coconut shrimp.

We went to Bonefish for a late night birthday dinner. We arrived at 9pm on a Tuesday and there were about 15 – 20 people scattered around different tables and at the bar. I got to talk with Morgan, one of the managers, and she was lovely as always. The hostess was nice enough, though she looked terrified and moved at a snail’s pace, and sat us immediately at a table in the bar. No one greeted us for a while, but the kid that did finally show up, tall guy with a high top fade, had walked past the table 3 or 4 times already. The whole night was barely mediocre. The server rushed us through our meal. He was polite, but couldn’t hide that he wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Our wine took too long, and the server forgot about the bread so it didn’t arrive until we were done with our appetizer. Now, the wagyu potstickers were delicious, and the best part of the meal! The server again prodded us to hurry up and order, but didn’t have a grasp of either of the special menus. We were both underwhelmed with our dinners(Orange Roughy and the Porkchop). We ordered coconut pie for dessert, but that wasn’t as good as it used to be either. I used to love Bonefish, but the quality of the food and service sunk once they opened for lunch.

I’m usually a fan of bone fish but the past few times I’ve visited for lunch the service has been so horrible that it takes away from the lunch experience. Today we ordered food to go and it literally took more than 40 minutes to get any food. When approached by the manager he was un empathetic about their poor service and offered no remedy. Unfortunately while this was happening everyone who dined in was served. I’m not sure if there was a shift in management, or what. But I’m not impressed anymore. I’ll shoot for dinner next time. Maybe it’ll be better.

I am giving this place a 2 simply because I came in for lunch. At 12:21 i ordered Bang Bang shrimp. It is 1pm and i am still waiting to receive my order. The hostess moved sooooo slow. There was no since of urgency . I sat next to a woman in the har area who had the same complaints about waiting for a to go order. She called her order in ans still had to wait. Lunch time is generally busy for most eateries. They need to be prepared for the volume and considerate of other people’s time To add insult to injury, i get shrimp in the bowl no lettuce… the nerve!!!

Went in craving mussels yesterday(why are they so hard to find in baton rouge?!) and ordered the mussels Josephine and the lamb lollipops. The mussels were plentiful for the price and tasty but the broth was just a bit too sweet for my liking. The focaccia bread served to go along with them accompanied by an herb olive oil were very good. My chops were the perfect temperature but I wish they came with some sort of sauce. My server who I believe name’s Ryan was very sweet and accommodating. Ultimately I’d get them again.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and it was just as good as I remembered. I got the 3 course dinner special for $ 15 that they have on Tuesdays and everything I ate was delicious. I got the Caesar salad, the 6oz Angler’s steak with potatoes au gratin & steamed broccoli as my sides and the coconut pie for dessert. We got there during Happy Hour which is daily from 4−7pm so they had several specials going on.(see pic.) Don was our server and he was really nice and on top of our drinks and anything else that we needed. First he brought out the Mussels appetizer and he also brought us out some warm, freshly baked bread to dip in the olive oil and herbs. I only tasted one mussel but it was good and the juice they were in was perfect for dipping your bread in. I also had a couple of Bang Bang shrimp and they were as good as I remembered. My Caesar salad was delicious. It wasn’t drenched in salad dressing and it wasn’t too salty. By the time my steak came I was so full I knew I was gonna have to get a to go box. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, the broccoli were tasty and not mushy and the potatoes au gratin were some of the cheesiest and best that I’ve had. Next time I think I’ll order 2 sides of the potatoes instead, that’s how good they were. I had to get the coconut pie to go but it was still really good the next day. Angela, the manager, was really nice and came by our table a couple of times just to check on us and see how the food was and how we were doing. She also gave my friend a free dessert on the house because it was her birthday. My only suggestion would be that when you’re getting drinks during happy hour and happy hour is over that maybe the server should remind you that it’s over before they keep bringing you drinks so that when you get your bill you won’t be surprised that some of the drinks are at regular price. All in all the experience was good, the food was delicious and the service was good.

Bang-bang shrimp were as good as everyone is saying. We had the caesar salad w/herb grilled chicken and the tilapia. Both were outstanding. The bread alone is enough reason to sit and chat while enjoying your time there. Our waitress, Rachael, was smart, friendly and hepful. Great service as well as great food.

This place was recommended for their fish. Ordered a Chilean sea bass-juicy and it was delicious with shredded veggies and potatoes au gratin. Scrupteous! The green iced tea was perfect as well. The other plate, sirloin was a one star, thin, somewhat difficult to slice, so do not order the sirloin. It came with a crab cake which was superb. Then came the dessert: coconut pie and crème brûlée, to die for and lick your spoon clean!!! The coffee was good too. Next time you go, order the fish, this is the place for fish!

Went here the evening of July 4 — not extremely busy but they do not serve BBQ —do offer hamburgers but this is not what they are famous — instead, it’s fish entrees. Our party each gave thumbs up so it gets 4stars. We started off with the calamari appetizer and it arrived freshly cooked — enough that it felt like it melted in the mouth — the side dip with it was tangy and tasty. Our fish entrees were the sea bass, tilapia imperial, and the rainbow trout — the latter with the mango topping. All 3 entrees were tasty and delicious. The tilapia and trout came with a fresh vegetable and a side the customer selects — we chose the Au gratin potatoes and green beans. The sea bass was placed on top of jasmine rice. All entrees were finished in its entirety. Entrée prices were between $ 13 and $ 25. A few other selections were above $ 25. We did not sample the desserts. Overall it was delicious and is recommended but since I walked out barely full I give it 4 stars only.

My review is solely from the perspective of a person ordering to go. This particular day I was craving food like I lived my whole life as a pescetarian. When I walked in headed for the bar, the hostess called me over to ask if I needed to be seated, I told her I was ordering to go. I guess she didn’t hear me because she proceeded to ask me follow up questions, if I was eating alone. I let her know that I was ordering to go(for the second time) and that I would like to see a menu. She pointed them out and I walked over to grab one, I asked her specific questions about what was offered for lunch vs dinner and she seemed annoyed. I am a big fan of customer service and almost walked out immediately but I came here solely for the food and didn’t plan on sitting around anyway. I chucked it up and ordered the fish and chips and was told that I could sit at the bar, hightop table or near a window while my food was being prepared. She told me it would take 25 minutes, but about 15 minutes later I was handed my food. The fish and chips were good and I decided to eat them outside of the restaurant while sitting on their lovely outdoor furniture. Usually, when I change my mind from to-go to dining in, I feel comfortable doing so, however this hostess really soured my experience and I have no desire to return in the immediate future. There are far too many places to fulfill my inner pescetarian to try.

The bang bang shrimp did seem to be heavy on the mayo. Did they change the recipe? Not sure but they tasted ok. The pan Asian sauce on the sea bass was delicious. Service was great as always. Food a little on the expensive side.

I love Bonefish Grill for many delicious reasons, one of which is the Oscar Omelet. Eggs wrapped around perfectly cooked asparagus spears and smoked mozzarella, topped with lemon butter sauce and lots of jumbo lump crab meat. It comes with potatoes Au gratin and crunchy toast on the side and really hits the spot on a Sunday afternoon. Considering all the quality ingredients and the amount of crabmeat it’s a real deal for just under 10 bucks. Today coffee was my beverage of choice but when I’m in the mood for a little bubbly I order the Endless Bubbles Brunch. That will get you unlimited servings of Peach Bellini, Mimosas, or Blackberry Sangria with your choice of omelet or eggs Benedict entrée for only 19 bucks. Service is always great here whether I sit at a table or at the bar. If you sit at the bar you have the choice of watching the food network or the sports channel of the day on the HD TVs. I love that I have a non sports option. I am sure to return soon. Maybe I will have the awesome Key Lime pie on my next visit.

My husband and I have eaten here a few times and frankly always leave satisfied but not«wowed». I ate the Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout and it was good. Everything I had was alright, but I felt like there was a dimension of seasoning missing. There are so many better choices in Baton Rouge for dining out, I doubt we will return here. The wait staff was great and the dining area was lovely. I did notice several women slipping around on the floor near us, if they were in heels.

Pretty underwhelming. Bang Bang shrimp are terrible, tastes like Chile sauce mixed with mayonnaise covering fried shrimp. I ordered a tuna bowl, which did not come with the passion fruit salsa just some orange-red clear sauce(definitely not salsa). The tuna tasted mushy. The whole thing was just disgusting. I give 3 stars for my wife’s swordfish which was pretty ok. Though I doubt I will return, maybe someone could make a list of what to avoid. And, don’t hype the bang bang shrimp or I will loose faith in your other reviews.

So first off this is the first time I have been to this place. It’s casual, not too busy. Service is great. Checks on us when appropriate. Not too much which is nice. I ordered the filet cooked medium– and the topping was underneath which I loved because I love watching my weight. My mom got the salmon which was amazing. Pesto couscous was great as a side. Nutricion information is online !! Which is a big plus. Would defiantly come back again. Not disappointed on anything

I like the atmosphere of this place, They have cool artwork on the walls and it definitely lends itself to being a place where you could take a date if you were looking to do seafood and impress at the same time. I’ve been here a few times before and the bang bang shrimp always seems to be a hit. Today for lunch my date had the fish and chips which is usually her favorite but it was a little on the oily side today. I ordered the surf and turf burger which is a burger with Bang bang shrimp on it. The waitress ended up putting my order in wrong and I received a regular burger but the owner was nice enough to send me home with a container full of shrimp at no charge. Nice way to make a customer feel like somebody actually cares. Kudos Matthew.

Great location within the Town Center. The food is really good and not over the top heavy. I’m very pleased with the overall service and food. This is more of an intimate/for lovers only type of setting(always an A+). NOTE: don’t go there thinking you’re going to get a ton of food with leftovers. This is more upscale, slightly dark and intimate restaurant. They have some reasonable prices so don’t shy away from them because they seem too expensive. I’m going back sooner than later…

Great service and good crowd at the bar. You can’t go wrong with the bang-bang shrimp. Everywhere I looked, people were ordering this dish. I was torn between grouper and Chilean sea bass. Since it’d been awhile since I eaten grouper, I chose the former with the herb pesto topping.(you get to choose your toppings by the way). It was just a teeny wee bit on the dry side, but I was still satisfied. Next time, I’ll have to go for the sea bass. Now the rest of my meal was strawberry-themed: With my Strawberry Abita, I ordered the strawberry shortcake and strawberry salad. The salad wasn’t any good; its dressing was too sweet and thick and didn’t seem to pair well with the salad). The shortcake was pretty decent, and I was told it was one of their best sellers when in season.

So so good. I love Bonefish. Friends and I go about once a week for happy hour which is one of the best in town. Where can you get $ 3 wines and mixed drinks and $ 5 bang bang chicken(or shrimp on Wednesdays) and complimentary bread and pesto? NOWHERE. I enjoy sitting at the bar. Carey is always on point and he and the other bartenders make the experience fun. Besides the HR menu you have to try the Sea Bass or the Grouper. Two of my favorites. And order the potatoes au gratin for the side… so rich! Friends got the crab cakes last night and was not too pleased. But the bacon wrapped scallops(4 to an order) are delicious. Overall no one(you other copy cat restaurants) can beat the BANGBANG.
