I’ve been getting eyelash extensions from Donna for a few months now and could not be happier! Donna is awesome and really takes her time to make your lashes look perfect. Not to mention these lashes save me some much needed time every morning since I no longer wear mascara. If you’re even slightly thinking about getting lashes, DO IT!

Donna not only does an excellent job on my nails but my eyelashes as well. She ensures your comfort and provides excellent customer service.

Katie Bourgeois LMT is an absolutely amazingly talented therapist. Definitely not your typical cookie cutter routine, and she focuses on all the areas you «knead» her to massage. Wonderful pressure!
I have gotten a style /​blowout by Amira as well as eyebrow threading. I have always been satisfied with the services at Avallon.

I went to Avallon in January to have a massage and a Brazillian wax a few days before my wedding day. My wax was an experience I continually have nightmares about. I’ve had Brazillians before and while painful, have never been as bad as this one. This woman, Rebecca, slathered on hot was in the most painful way possible then applied as many strips as she could in one area and began ripping, all the while telling me to «Breathe.» And «Quit screaming, there were massages going on next door.» She never once held my skin taught to lessen the sting, she never once warned me she was ripping. She blamed my discomfort on the fact that I shave in between waxes which it total BS because I’ve had plenty of waxes all while shaving in between and they were not that bad! Needless to say, I was so sore after my wax, I could barely wear any underwear without being in pain and my husband had to be really gentle on our wedding night! Utter disappointment! And she still missed patches of hair! I give the salon a 4 though, because the woman who did my wax said she only rented space from the salon and was not actually an employee of the salon, thank heavens! My masseuse did a wonderful job of relaxing me after my nightmarish waxing incident and thank goodness because as a bride, I was wound up tight enough!!! She was professional and thorough. I loved being able to take a shower right after my massage so I didn’t have to get in my clothes all sticky! I will definitely return for a massage, maybe a cut and color because the people doing hair looked like they had it going on, but I will definitely be looking into laser hair removal in the immediate future and never risk being stuck with someone like Rebecca with hot wax and some tension to release. Geez!

Today was my first visit to Avallon. I bought a Groupon for a Brazillian wax, but I should have purchased the 3-​pack! Mrs. Rebecca Galloway was wonderful. She was very professional, kind, and skilled. I will be returning — I scheduled my next appointment before I left!

So disgusted!!! I was looking forward to getting my hair colored by Scott, the owner of Avallon. I had a 1:45 appointment for a massage and then a color and style. AT 1:00 SOMEONE FROM THE SALON CALLED AND SAID HE WAS SICK AND I WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE. If you are sick, you are sick, but one would think you’d have the decency to call in advance of the appointment time.
Needless to say, I will be looking for another salon!!!

I love the staff here. Everyone is super friendly and always makes you feel right at home. I’ve been going to Amy for a number of years now and she’s amazing. She’s fun, easy to communicate with, and always makes my hair look great. I seriously had to carry a stack of her cards with me because I have strangers stop me in the street to ask where I get my hair cut on a regular basis.
I always look forward to hair cut day because I know it will be relaxing and fun!

And he did… I went and now I’m in love— with Brien. ;) My hair had been damaged from all the pool time I’ve been enjoying this spring and was in an unholy mess, («a tangled bird’s nest»). I needed a relaxer! I holla’ed at my boy Monday morning to express my state of mental discomposure and utter disharmony. He said, «Girl, I’ve been wanting to do your hair… come in Wednesday. You need a KeraTriplex® Treatment.»

Upon entering the salon I was welcomed, checked in, and offered wine. Does it get any better? The salon was comfortable and modern. Brien’s energy is infectious as he paraded me around the salon and introduced to the practically entire staff before he got started. Everyone was very accommodating and delighted to serve my every need. Brien’s suggestions for my hair and color/​hi lights were on point as he showed me pictures of some his innovative color techniques.

Brien knew just the trick to get my hair back in manageable shape– soft and silky smooth. Brien’s product knowledge had me feeling confident in my purchase of Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Shampoo and Conditioner (which by the way were moderately priced). Also while I was there I checked out some new styling tools and other products which I plan on buying in the future. Before I left I booked my second appointment with Brien for this Saturday for a complete color transformation. It was an over all great experience. Upon leaving the salon I was looking good and feeling like I was the most important person in there.
p. s. Since my co-​workers have to look at my unruly hair on a daily, they were also very happy with the end result at work the next day. One of them said. «You’re hair is so relaxed, it’s asleep.» Hilarious.

I love Brien at Avallon!!! He does an amazing job on my hair & I promise you won’t be disappointed with his work! From the moment you walk into Avallon, he is greeting you with smiles & warm conversation! Brien is the best stylist in Baton Rouge!!!

We moved to Baton Rouge a year ago, and I’ve been on the hunt for a decent hair stylist and colorist every since. I used Unilocal and Citysearch to try to locate someone competent and affordable, but utterly failed using my usual search tools. JKL was snooty and terrible, Eutopia incomepetent and rude, Salon Dolce bad news. I had the pleasure of meeting local celebrity Whitney Vann, the anchor of WBRZ, when they did a story on our company, and I asked who did her hair. She told me about Brien at Avallon, who was able to salvage a horrible and overpriced color and cut from a combination of the above salons. For the first time in too many months, I have a stylish cut and pretty color. I was prepared to pay more than I had at these bad news salons, but was very pleased that my tab was less, not more. If you’re in Baton Rouge or surrounding areas, or even New Orleans, Brien is worth the trip. I never found anyone as good as him in NOLA.
