We got a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon during a weekend in the Finger Lakes. We put on the spare but didn’t want to drive 4.5 hours back to NJ on the spare, with no backup. The closest place I could find to buy a new tire was 15 min away in Bath. We called and explained our situation and, although he didn’t have the right size on hand, suggested he have a look to see if it could be patched. We arrived at noon, which was their scheduled closing time. The owner Matt took the time to check out our tire but didn’t want to patch it because it wouldn’t have been safe. He then called around to several other tire shops to see of they had the right size. Finding none, he ordered a replacement tire for us, just in case we still needed it on Monday. He ended up staying an hour after closing to help us(and even put our old tire in plastic so it didn’t dirty the trunk). We couldn’t have asked for better customer service, and will be back if we ever need tire service in NY.
