Great experience. Richard did a great job. Colors still look great after 5 months, yellow hasn’t even faded. Definitely knows his stuff. Experience is worth it, just check his portfolio.

My only criticism would be without a person stopping by one would never be aware of just how different this place is from most other tattoo shops. You see most artists have their own private room (No open bay) each room has large flatscreen TVs and sound systems that allow you to bring your own movies or music, the entire shop is extremely clean, quiet, well lit, and every employee we have encountered has been extremely professional, friendly and inviting. In short this is the most professional client friendly shop we have ever been in.
After me and my wife have set for four 3+ hour sessions (three myself, one my wife) with many more to follow. I think it’s safe to say we found our Chicago area artist/​shop.
Nano Garcia has done (and will be doing) all of our art work. He is amazing artist & just a great guy to work with.

Everyone makes you feel very welcomed and the place is very clean.
I would highly recommend the artist Ryan Nutini. This is my second tattoo by him and I couldn’t be happier! He takes your ideas and makes this amazing tattoo you couldn’t even imagine! He is incredible with detail. My dog passed away and he was able to tattoo her clay paw print into the pollen of a sunflower.
Ryan makes you feel comfortable and remains extremely hygienic throughout the tattooing process!

Corey jacked up on of my tattoos that needed a touch up. Unfortunately its right on the front of my arm. Would of looked fine if he didnt go over it but now i am looking to get it covered.

Wanted another tattoo and, on a whim, visited A Thin Line here in Batavia. Just wanted a saying on my inner forearm. Was overall happy with the service and tattoo. Rich was quick and professional. The shop is clean and well lit. I’ll go back for my next one.

So the owner whatever or whoever she was emailed me and offered me my first tat for free… I wrote her back and told her yes… and then she never wrote me back… yeah great service.
Fortunately I’m not in IL anymore so my skin has been spared.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to get tattooed! I followed Ryan Nutini and his apprentice, Joe Pino from their previous shop. The amount of detail Joe and Ryan have put into my tattoos (and my brothers) is incredible! I find new things I love about my tattoos every day!
Upon my consultation with Ryan Nutini, I had the chance to speak with the owner, Ryan Walsh. He took the time to take an interest in what I was getting done and I could tell he had a passion for the tattoo industry which is no surprise as to why his businesses are doing so well!
I follow a lot of the artists from both locations on Instagram, (and the official Thinline page) and all of the artists crank out some pretty amazing, and impressive work.
Thinline has an amazing atmosphere and is definitely THE place to get tattooed and pierced! All the artists and piercers are super friendly and make you feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. I had a little bit of an issue with my back dermals that I got at a different tattoo shop, and the piercer took the time to look at them. I’d definitely get my next piercing here seeing as I have an appointment to finish my thigh piece Ryan started a little over a month ago.

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have had work done in at least four different shops and have been getting inked for 10+ years now.
When I booked my tattoo, Dorothy, at the front desk, was incredible. Super sweet and I found out that our birthdays are a few days apart. Really helpful, friendly chick. She even remembered me when I came back in over a month later for my appointment.
When I came in for my session with Nano he was super professional from the get-​go. My tattoo was under the sternum, which meant I would have to take my shirt off and be pretty exposed. He was sensitive of this and made sure we had a room all to ourselves. Most shops don’t have any sort of privacy so this was really nice. Before we even got started I noticed that Nano was playing super soothing, ambient music. No death metal to be heard. He definitely put me at ease.
When we finally got to work, he was awesome the entire time. Talked to me a bit, asked me how I was doing through the entire thing, but didn’t bother me if he could tell I was just in the zone. It was seriously the BEST experience I have EVER had at a shop, hands down.
The tattoo is still healing and it looks great. Going back for a second session in a few weeks and I will definitely be getting more work from Nano. Really great artist but you can see that for yourself in his portfolio. Nano rocks!

I had gotten my rook pierced back in May at A Thin Line and had a great experience! No stranger to a tattoo shop, I found it to be a clean, artsy, and comfortable atmosphere. All of the staff that I interacted with were great! My piercer was professional, had a clean set up, and put me right at ease with his jokes. I will be coming back for future work.

A friend of mine suggested the shop to me, so I checked it out on instagram. Months later, I called and made an appointment with Corey, my favorite artist for the SAME DAY to finish/​fix what someone else started. I have had terrible luck with tattoo artists in the past, so I was hesitant on going to a new place. I walked in and was surprised to see how decorated and clean the shop was. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly and let me know that Corey would be ready soon. Long story short, I had a great experience. I highly recommend Corey and I will definitely be back.

Great experience. Clean, friendly and awesome customer service. Rich helped put together what my sis and I wanted… sisters tattoos and did an awesome job. Charlie created for my nephew exactly what he was looking for. The restroom was spotless… that’s +++ stars onto this review. Would highly recommend this establishment!
