My family and I have been using Family Health Center of Bastrop for more than 10 years and are extremely happy with the service and the doctors. The go out of their way to accommodate you and even offer Saturday morning hours for their patients.

THEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! After my first pregnancy I was informed I would need another referral to make up for a lost one so, I saw my Dr., whom informed me he would resolve the issue. Well, I wound up being billed thousands of dollars for my maternity stay at the hospital because they never got my referral! 3MONTHS after my visit and back and forth phone calls from the hospital and the referral coordinator I FINALLY received my refund! 3MONTHS! I am now dealing with the same issue all over again, she NEVER answers her phone or returns any messages. I am a friend of hers on Facebook and see her throughout the day, daily, posting things-which infuriates me! I NEED my referrals to be sent promptly and correctly to the appropriate parties so I can receive the medical attention I need!!! I am tired of fixings these people’s(persons) mistakes and waiting weeks-months just to make an appointment with my specialists. I am switching my PCM solely because of the referral coordinator and incompetent staff. Also, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you don’t have at least an hour to wait in the waiting room for your appointment that WILL be pushed back.

I was fired by my dr! I got a letter in the mail saying they would only give me 30 days of emergency care if something comes up. I’d rather die first! So, whatever y’all do… don’t flip on the staff because it’s not their fault the doctors are incompetent… And the cherry on top was my dr told me today on the phone that i needed a CPAP machine so I need to make an apt to determine the prescription i would need! I called the sleep study place and they said i don’t need a CPAP. Their guideline says a 5 is a low/borderline result … I was at a 3.4 and there was no need for a CPAP machine… Hmmmm feeling they are incompetent yet? Be warned!

Absolutely the worst customer service experience. Dr. Ortega wrote the WRONGDOSAGE of my medication in the RX he sent to my pharmacy, and I had to be on on the phone with this office for two weeks trying to resolve the issue. They gave me HALF the dose of a medication I need to function properly. I didn’t realize it was wrong until I had moved cross-country and started feeling terrible. The first nurse I spoke to about the issue — which is essentially malpractice — just didn’t want to deal with the problem, so she told me she would«have to call me back» while almost hanging up on me and never did. She also blamed the problem on the pharmacy, which was clearly not at fault and had the records to prove it. I probably made nearly 20 phone calls to this office to finally get a solution that I wasn’t even fully happy with. The last person I spoke to — to be fair — was very polite, but it should not have taken 2 weeks of phone calls and voicemails that were never returned in order to speak to someone that was willing and able to find a solution. I DONOT recommend this office, seeing as it is highly disorganized and they don’t care enough about their patients to even give them the right dosage of a medication. Seriously, this was malpractice and poor customer service on top of it.
